Reviews for Gabrovo Hills Hotel

Review 1:We had a bedroom with two single beds, probably the slimmest beds we ever had. If you don't watch out you could find yourself on the floor.

Review 2:We had a few hotels in Bulgaria yet and the regular hygiene-standard is not that high! But this Hotel was definitely the cleanest one we ever had in Bulgaria. The hotel keeper really makes an effort to keep the hotel clean and enjoyable for his guests. The communication with him was very good and we felt really welcome! The hotel itself is in a very quiet neighbourhood and you can get a good sleep. The next supermarket we found was located around 5km away from the hotel in the town. But if you own a car, that's no big problem, because the town itself is not as nice as the district, where the hotel is located and that way you can escape the grey of the buildings made with precast concrete slabs that you can find all over the town.

Review 3:Didn't bother us, but it's true that the pool is unheated (and was cold throughout our July stay) and does not have a shallow end! (worth noting if your children can't swim unaided). The WiFi was a bit hit-and-miss on a couple of occasions, but nothing major.

Review 4:When our accommodation plans changed dramatically, we found ourselves booking a one-bedroom apartment for more than 3 weeks. It was a blessing in disguise. The Gabrovo Hills Hotel is a hidden treasure, made so through the combination of good facilities, value for money, and wonderful staff who did everything they could to make things easy and enjoyable for us. We could not have felt more relaxed and at home during our stay, and we will miss Stan, Liliana and Vlado greatly! While others may be drawn to the capital city, Gabrovo is an unheralded gem of a place, with beautiful views (especially around the hotel itself) and quality sites and excursions within easy reach, such as the nearby Interactive Museum of Industry, Etar (architectural/cultural venue), Shipka, and quite a few others we hope to visit in the future. Highly recommended.

Review 5:The swiming pool is cold water. The sunbeds have no covers. On the windows there are not moskito/bug protection. The carpets and sofa's were dirty.

Review 6:Gabrovo is a small and clean town. The amplacement is great, we had a very nice mountains view. Is a quiet street. We had al we need in the apartment for a very good self catering. In Gabrovo you can find a mall with a large playing space for kids with small prices. Also there is a Billa supermarket downstairs and a candy/cakes store.

Review 7:The pool was not heated. This was a major disappointment since the main reason we rented this place over others was because of the pool. It was freezing!

Review 8:I lived in Gabrovo many years ago so I knew the city and did not need assistance. The apart-hotel was roomy and clean.

Review 9:No complaints

Review 10:Very comfortable place to rest and as a starting point to plan mountain trips (with own car at hand). Hotel standard at very fair price.

Review 11:No ac no tv bad Wi-Fi very dirty pool no somebody for helping noelevator !!! I left after 2 hours

Review 12:The road up to the hotel was very poor. Let's hope that the town can improve the state of the roads significantly Access to pool impossible for the less flexible!

Review 13:The peace and quiet. .

Review 14:My goodness, the road is madly narrow, it is driving you crazy to getthere, but the manager said that there are European money coming forits repairs. They also need to a system to heat up the water in thepool, it is a mountainous zone, so I think it never gets nice (we wherein July...).

Review 15:The stuff was very friendly and extremely helpful, we have also a littlebaby and a lot of luggage, so they helped us to carry everything in theflat. They where making us coffees in any manner we where asking, at anytime. Even the pool water was cold, we could stay next buy and enjoy awonderful time with friends. In one word, we felt like home. The hotelis maniacly clean. Everything is functional and I also believe it is anew residence.

Review 16:The WiFi was impossible to connect to on the first floor.

Review 17:The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Review 18:The street to the hotel is under repair. But it's not their fault.

Review 19:Very nice, clean appartments. Helpful and friendly staff.
