Reviews for Tunich Beh

Review 1:The bed in the double room was pretty hard, which was not at all a problem for me, but just fyi.

Review 2:Great value for money! Very helpful staff. We stayed two nights in the suite and one night in a double room, both were great. beverages and fruit were included and refilled every day. The bed in the suite is rhe softest bed I have ever slept in! Also great location, very close to ADO in the middle of the city. Great breakfast.

Review 3:Nice and spacious rooms, warmly decorated, with a lovely backyard, really quiet, but perfectly located. The hosts were really nice and helpful people. We can highly recommend this stay!

Review 4:Great location, very friendly manager, lovely breakfast. Large suite beautiful - a very comfortable stay. Gorgeous sun-drenched pool. Helpful and welcoming.

Review 5:Only slight gripe - the wi-fi didn't work in our room. I believe we were too far from the router. If you want wi-fi then ask for rooms 1-3.

Review 6:Brilliant, small hotel near everything in Valladolid (including the bus station). Lovely private pool - perfect for cooling down and having a lazy afternoon after visiting nearby sites such as Chichen Itza. Generous serve-yourself breakfast. Very friendly staff - spoke a good level of English too which was a bonus. Highlight of our trip staying here!

Review 7:WiFi was very weak. We also had a disagreement with the person at the front desk about the official exchange rate. In the end we let it go as it was not much.

Review 8:Valladolid in general, and this hotel within it, are great options to visit Chichén Itzá (provided you have a rented car or get a tour). The hotel is located within walking distance from the town's center, which is lovely. The breakfast was very good.

Review 9:Breakfast / coffee wasn't the best - but everything else made up for it.

Review 10:Amazing location, pool, lovely Mexican courtyard and super tranquil. Super clean, towels for pool and room provided, great value for money.

Review 11:Very firm bed and hard pillows. But that is very common in Mexico.

Review 12:the pool was great. Breakfast was good.Location was good, close of all in valladolid. Cost was good

Review 13:If I have to find a quibble, then it would be that the rooms are quite dark and the staff's english wasn't the best, but it was ok, since they were always very friendly and helpful. Also credit card payment adds 3% to the bill.

Review 14:I am absolutely in love with this cute little hotel, I don't know where to begin. Location cannot be better: 5 min to bus terminal and Zocalo and it's set in the most beautiful street of Valladolid full of renovated colonial buildings. Rooms are spacious, newly renovated and really beautiful. And with direct access to the pool (so nice to have a swim in those hot Valladolid afternoons). Also plenty of towels provided and a safe in the room. Breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs made to order was a really nice touch. You can also rent bikes directly in the hotel for a really small fee. We took advantage of that and rode them to the Cenotes of Xkeken and Samula...what a perfect day. In the evening you can sit in the garden and there is also a shared fridge to keep your drinks cold, if needed. Overall a perfect little hotel with nice and helpful staff. I can highly recommend it!

Review 15:Hotel rate in USD could make confusion for guests from other countries with other currencies. Could make it more expensive than when the rate is set in mexican pesos. Poor light in the room for Reading as well outside in the evening. Almost no hooks or clothes-hangers for our clothes.

Review 16:Calm hotel with a good and clean outside pool. Birds singing in the morning! Nice staff. Located in a very nice street a couple of blocks from zokalo and one block from ADO bus station. Good wifi. Breakfast ok with free choice of egg dish. Big clean room. AC was ok.

Review 17:The price, clearly too much for yucatan

Review 18:the bed was comfortable and the room (we had the suite) was nicely decorated. Air conditionnong was very noisy however so we choose not to use it.

Review 19:We stayed in the two-room suite, the extra space a bonus. Fine pool, handsome courtyards, off a quiet, handsome and historic street. The cat sleeping most of the day on the reception desk suggests the pace.

Review 20:Poor light in the room for reading and also poor light outside on the premises. Outdoor stairs not perfect for physically disabled persons, but no problems for us. Room rate based on USD.

Review 21:Excellent outdoor swimming pool, very calm (a lot of birds singing in the morning!), central location in a lovely historical street two blocks from zokalo and one block from ADO bus station. Kind staff (partly English speaking). The buildings were seven years old, partly built in a nice classical Mérida style. Wifi ok in the room. Continental breakfast ok with eggs of any style etc. Small library.

Review 22:Nothing.

Review 23:Very quiet location only a couple of blocks from the main square. Breakfast was very good, with egg dishes made to order if you choose. Nice pool, good air con and strong wifi signal in the rooms. Free parking in an enclosed courtyard.

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:very friendly staff. The breakfast was the best we had out of all of our trip. Not only did we have the usual cereals and yoghourt but we were offered eggs anyway we wanted. The street where it is located is very pretty.

Review 26:The bed was very hard and the pillows were too large.

Review 27:We loved the architecture and the cool breeze coming through the open windows. We never even turn on the air-conditioner. The towels were the plushest I've ever used in a hotel. Excellent location for walking around the city.

Review 28:Only small details really - we didn't have very good wifi connection in our room and had to go outside for it. Also, although the staff are very friendly, not much English is spoken - not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you think you might need to ask questions etc and you don't speek Spanish. Overall though, these are small details and this really is an a lovely hotel.

Review 29:An absolutely gorgeous hotel, that I would recommend to anyone. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, it's very clean, and the rooms themselves are both beautiful and clean. It's a quiet little place, five minutes' walk from the main square and one minute from the bus terminal. There is a nice swimming pool that we spent a lot of time in. The free breakfasts are excellent, and they will cook you eggs/quesadillas etc on request. Staff are lovely. Excellent value for money.

Review 30:Great location - 2 mins from ADO Friendly staff Nicely furnished room Quiet Comfortable bed Nice atmosphere Has a small pool Good wifi signal Breakfast included

Review 31:Some little noisy construction work the day we were there. Otherwise this is a nice tranquil place.

Review 32:Very nice, clean hotel in a safe area with nice houses and clean streets. Very central as well. Shops and restaurants are close by.

Review 33:Beds were small not all desk personnel spoke English well

Review 34:Location. Near the ado busstation, central square. bikes for rent breakfast, (eggs, yoghurt, bread, juice, coffee milk cereals fruit) Quiet but central located pool

Review 35:Don't expect anything fancy - the hotel is pretty basic with decent beds and breakfast, but it's clean and just great value for money. Mainly location is very nice, situated in a good looking alley leading to the towns secundary square with a fine restaurant on it, but also very close to the towns central square. Cenote Dzitnup and other sites are on short distance.

Review 36:Hard pillows. Breakfast was included and was ok but pretty basic. Saved us some cash so it's ok.

Review 37:Pool was good. Sun loungers. Great location few minutes from bus station by the tequila factory. Great street to stay on. Would stay again.

Review 38:Policy allowed swimming between 10 AM and 8 PM. It would be nice to have it open earlier for a morning swim. The landscaping is a work in process, needing a little more effort. Didn't take credit cards.

Review 39:Close to the town square, walking distance to attractions. They let us check in early, and park our car, which we didn't need again till we left. Staff was friendly. Comfortable room, breakfast included. Cool sitting areas for sitting outside. Free wifi.

Review 40:Valladolid - not as tourist orientated as would be liked!

Review 41:Lovely quiet retreat! Very pleasant boutique hotel. Nice pool and only place I found in Mexico where breakfast is included. Had a minibar and excellent room finishes. Calzada Restaurant up the road very pleasant.

Review 42:Hotel accept only cash, we had to find cash machine.

Review 43:Location is very close to down town, hotel has free parking and nice breakfast. Other is enough good to stay one-two days, not more.

Review 44:Not enough light for reading

Review 45:Excellent and helpful staff

Review 46:The bed was huge and had some kind of memory foam mattress that was incredibly comfortable. The place is beautiful and quiet with a lovely pool.

Review 47:All great

Review 48:Everything! Massive bed, good shower, spotless room, friendly staff... very well located in one of the most beautiful streets in Valladolid!

Review 49:beds were extremely uncomfortable!!

Review 50:Location was great, staff very friendly

Review 51:Internet was inconsistent.

Review 52:The breakfast was very poor and the service didn't was very nice.

Review 53:The bedroom was very nice and clean.

Review 54:If the bed linen were white the room would be excellent! Is just a simple thing that would make a big change!

Review 55:Pool Comfort of room Comfort of bed Room air-con and fan Amazing breakfast included in the rate Decor

Review 56:Hammocks, big swimming pool, colonial vibe, good breakfast, what else do you need?

Review 57:That I only inquired about a price and then got booked and charged even though I never approved this!

Review 58:The pool & location.

Review 59:Convenient central location, parking, small pool: refreshing, friendly staff

Review 60:Great breakfast, location and staff

Review 70:Staff accogliente, stanze molto grandi.

Review 71:There was music from somewhere near the hotel until 4 am.

Review 72:Well located, clean

Review 73:breakfast is extremely poor. But that is typical in Yucatan.

Review 74:Great location. Very close to town center but quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Review 75:Small bathroom

Review 76:Staff Comfy bed Parking Large pool

Review 77:Only cereals and toast with jam for breakfast.

Review 78:Good location and easy parking. Excellent wifi connection in our room.

Review 79:Value for money and easy free parking. Perfect location.

Review 80:the atmosphere, the environment, the pool..... all was very good

Review 81:The location was great. A quick walk to the ADO bus station and to the square. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. The pool was cleaned daily and a great way to cool off in the afternoon heat. The breakfast was simple, but perfect. The staff was helpful and always available.

Review 82:WiFi did not work the whole time of our stay. The motor bike parked in the lobby is not that nice.

Review 83:Tunich Beh is located in the prettiest street of Valladolid and the hotel is also very beautiful. Nice Pool with space to spend an afternoon.

Review 84:Nothing. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 85:Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful people. Good location, quiet and peaceful plus a fantastic breakfast.

Review 86:Very nice structure, very well kept. Lovely garden with porticos (it's an old colonial-style house) and a pool. Nice and friendly staff, very good location close to the town center. They also cook breakfast on the spot for you.

Review 87:Should be more seating by the pool or outside as the bit by reception is a little redundant.

Review 88:Location perfect. The room was very clean and nice to have a outdoor area.

Review 89:For this price nothing. It was great.

Review 90:For a one day visit to the city this was in a great location. The room had A/C and fans and was right by the pool. The breakfast was cooked for us , the bed was comfortable. The car was park securely. The price was very good. What more could you ask.

Review 91:The beds were comfy. The breakfast was some bananas, apples, fresh squeezed OJ, cereal, toast and eggs. It's within walking distance to the centro. We were able to leave our car parked until we were ready to leave town in the late afternoon.

Review 92:I have no "negative" things to say about this place.

Review 93:The hotel is just a couple of meters away from downtown, thus location is perfect. Staff was very nice. We hadn't time to swim but pool looked nice, installations were also very good. Rooms were very clean. Our window had a mosquito net but we were still attacked by them during night, but in Yucatán is kind of expected. Breakfast was standard: it didn't had a great varation of food but amount & quality was good.

Review 94:Breakfast very limited, no fresh fruit/veg. Only two chairs next to the pool.

Review 95:Location is great, courtyard of the hotel is nice. Building is beautiful local architecture.

Review 96:Rooms on ground floor: only way to have privacy is to close curtains. Breakfast staff not very helpful.

Review 97:Nice little hotel with pleasant swimming pool.

Review 98:Not luxurious. But they give you all the basics and comfort for a very reasonable rate. Very convenient for touring the Yucatan, as well as Valledolid. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. We would be happy to return at a future date!

Review 99:Breakfast is really basic, but once you know ....

Review 100:Nice hotel, recently renovated. Parking in the center of the town. Walking distance from everything relevant.

Review 101:We ask for storage of our backpacks on out last day, and they did not have room to lock them in . They kept our staff at reception deck , where is open area and we were little consider about it.

Review 102:location is fantastic . Our travel guide said that, the street where this hotel is located, is the most beautiful street of Yukatan. Agree. Very nice breakfast , yogurt, eggs , toast, good coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice. Staff was very helpful, I would definitively come back to this hotel.

Review 103:A couple of small hitches - the grid of one way streets makes getting to the hotel a slight challenge, but we made it, and if you want a hot shower, it helps if you know C means caliente not cold on the taps!

Review 104:We found the hotel charming, lots of character, friendly staff, good sized room overlooking a spotless pool. Breakfast was continental, although you could have a fried egg. Were pleased to have safe parking and it is very convenient to walk to see all the attractions of Valladolid.

Review 105:Wouldn't change a thing!

Review 106:The hammocks and other shared spaces at Tunich Beh (pool area, breakfast porch, etc.) were so charming, inviting, and comfortable. I've never been more relaxed than the nights we stayed there.

Review 107:Tunich Beh is a lovely little place in a great location. The staff was very efficient and the grounds were very well kept. If you're looking for a unique place to stay for a super reasonable price, this is it!

Review 108:We couldn't stay as long as we wanted as they were booked up.

Review 109:This hotel was a very refreshing experience. Straight forward, friendly, beautiful, clean, tasteful and comfortable. Removed from the busy centre, but within close walking distance, it is quiet, relaxing and small!! Colonial style building with a small well tended garden and pool. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. This business has done it right.

Review 110:Small family owned hotel on a perfect location and the most beautiful street in town (close to the main square, tequilla museum & tasting, ...) Stayed in a very spacious & clean room #1 Would definitely recommend to all travellers spending a day or two in the town

Review 111:Bed was a bit firm for us, but that's just personal taste

Review 112:Lovely building, courtyard and pool. Good breakfast in the beautiful shady courtyard. Staff were very helpful in getting us bike hire. Very good location, easy walking to everywhere, including bus station. We liked the fact that it was a very small friendly, local hotel.

Review 113:The bed was very hard.

Review 114:Great location, secure parking, and a wonderful shower. Staff was friendly and helpful even though we don't speak Spanish. The safe in the room is large enough to hold a laptop. The breakfast was good. We are doing a return visit next week.

Review 115:We accidentally left behind a jacket and returned to collect it a week later. The staff had kindly put it to one side for us. Perfect location. Lovely setting. Rooms were great. Breakfast was delicious. Great value

Review 116:Do not attempt to stay in Room 7. The mold is unbearable and unhealthy! The owner should not be renting this room out. It's not a matter of cleanliness, it's in the walls, and no amount of ventilation would resolve the problem.

Review 117:The staff were excellent. We had been put in the only room left...number 7....it was horribly moldy... It was late in the evening when we arrived and I could not think of where else to go. We had reserved a room months in advance for 4 nights . They should of held an acceptable room for us and never have rented that one out. Regretfully, the staff had to wait until the next day to move to an acceptable room. After that we chose to cut our stay to 2 nights.

Review 118:We love Valladolid, the calm little streets and the busy main plaza. Our hotel was right the place to explore all the Maya ruins. The pool was great, the breakfast easy but good. We really liked this place and had a great time!
