Reviews for Solheim Pensjonat

Review 1:The guest house dates from 1939 (if I'm not mistaken) and one can tell that people have stayed there. For me this did not pose a problem and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owners have done a wonderful job of preserving the original style and decor of the property and the atmosphere harkens back to a less fussy time which I found very serene. There was no television, something others might miss, but for me this was quite liberating. WiFi was however available. The staff are wonderfully accommodating in every regard. I not only would consider staying at Solheim Pensjonat again, I fully intend to.

Review 2:Everything made me feel at home. No complaints.

Review 3:I needed to check out before breakfast, so the staff gave me a takeaway bag filled with juice, nuts, sandwiches and chocolate. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Review 4:Only challenge is for people with limited mobility as there's stairs to enter and to reach rooms.

Review 5:Very friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast!

Review 6:A bit close to the road although everybody was driving slowly, we probably noticed it more because we had been in the mountains for a week.

Review 7:The bed sheets and the breakfast

Review 8:The personal service we were offered partly due to the fact that we were the only guests after their very busy Christmas period added an extra dimension to our stay. The ladies who run the establishment are wonderful and the midnight walk in the surrounding hills in the full moon light only add to our great memories. Such good fun and a great period styling inside the property. Unforgettable.

Review 9:I went on low season (autum); probably due to low occupation and that it was sunday, could not leave the bags or use the house to rest during the day. A minor problem though.

Review 10:Very nice wooden interiors, old style charming guesthouse. Feeling at home. Very friendly staff. Will come back.

Review 11:Although breakfast is included for all other room-types, it was not for the appartment. It did state so in the confirmation, but I had missed that. I only found out when the hotel confirmation sent its own confirmation and asked if we wanted breakfast. It would be good if this could be clearer when booking.

Review 12:We had the top floor apartment: spacious and decorated in a lovely retro style which I happen to like very much. So the furniture is not new, except for the beds, but very clean nevertheless. The beds were soft (but not too soft) and comfortable. I honestly think this is the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. Spotless seems to be an understatement.

Review 13:Great little place with beautiful retro 50´s interior. Very friendly staff. Beware that bathroom facilities are shared.

Review 14:Hospitality.

Review 15:The beds, sheets, breakfast, cakes in the evening, location, decor, and attentiveness of the owners/staff. Thank you!

Review 16:People of the staff were really really nice and always here to help us. The food was very good, and rooms are also good.

Review 17:Nothing to mention

Review 18:Charming mixture with furniture out of the 60'ties I guess. You feel the engagement of the People to collect the old nice things. Staff is very helpful.

Review 19:Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, close to city centre and historic sites!

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:The staff and the comfortable living area and the breakfast

Review 22:Local food
