Reviews for Barossa House Bed & Breakfast
Review 1:This was not our first stay. The breakfast was not as good as last time and we expected a full cooked breakfast.
Review 2:The garden setting and tastefully furnished room.
Review 3:Just a note that the bathroom is quite small.
Review 4:What a wonderful experience! Lovely quiet setting. Beautifully maintained house. Delicious continental breakfast.
Review 5:Not one thing.
Review 6:We took two visiting American friends with us and the four of us loved every minute of it. We could not fault it in any way. We also took the Winery Tour which the owner of the property runs and it was the best winery tour we have ever been on. He had his own tour arranged but was more than happy to take our visitors to a few wineries they wanted to visit..
Review 7:There was nothing we didn't like, although the only downside is the house is midway between 2 towns, so not walking distance to hotels/restaurants for a meal.
Review 8:Lovely old style atmosphere, cosy and historic building and beautiful roses in the garden. Bed very comfy.
Review 9:Furniture is dated and the room was small. Seemed expensive given state of the room. We were expecting a little more from breakfast (e.g nothing was cooked)
Review 10:Very Pretty house
Review 11:The genuine warmth and hospitality that was extended to us by Lee and Judy during our stay was greatly appreciated. Their advice about the best venues for dinner were spot on as was advice with regard to winery visits that would suit our tastes.
Review 12:peaceful spot, friendly and obliging staff, very well hosted, very clean, enjoyable and well presented breakfast, overall a very pleasant place to stay.
Review 13:Not really a bad experience but we thought breakfast was a little undersubscribed given there were four couples sharing.
Review 14:Beautiful old villa and lovely furnishings.
Review 15:It would be nice to have an alternative to the group table at breakfast. Although it is nicely sociable, for a romantic weekend it would be nice to have the option for some more privacy.
Review 16:The room was clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated, with everything we needed. It was great having access to some boardgames to play in the evenings. The location was perfect to explore the Barossa Valley by car.
Review 17:rooms were great no open fire place gas heater heaters were not put on so when we got home rooms were freezing No cooked breakfast so wanted bacon and eggs that's all
Review 18:Some lovely homely touches...rhubarb and homegrown tomatoes for brekkie and wine tours if required. Friendly sociable hosts, very central and highly recommended.
Review 19:The owner didn't greet us when we arrived just continued to wash his car. The house was cold and uninviting. There were no lights on in the evenings when we walked in the door, the lounge room was cold and dark, we couldn't use it. The bathroom was like a cupboard and each time we put the fan on dust fell out onto the floor. The host was not very willing to help us with our days sightseeing plans..
Review 20:Beautiful Gardens.
Review 21:NO ONE WAS THERE FOR CHECK IN, ENSUITE WAS VERY VERY TIGHT BASIN TOO SMALL HAD TO ASK FOR EGG TO BE COOKED NOT FORTHCOMING HOST WAS POORLY DRESSED TO SERVE BREAKFAST
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:This was like home away from home .Beautiful garden, very friendly and helpful staff with perfect access to the wineries and Maggie Beers farm.
Review 24:This is a cute little B&B with plenty of character located just outside of town. Great place to base yourself in the Barossa. Judy is a lovely host and welcoming.
Review 25:It was so special to us as our stay was following the celebrating our Golden wedding Anniversary It was exceptionally clean Comfortable bed and room So so beautiful Robert & Margaret Close Thank You Staff
Review 26:The bed was too hard thats all
Review 27:The staff were amazing and friendly. I meet a lady on our flight back to Brisbane a couple of days later after our stay and recommended the Barossa House B & B.
Review 28:Had we been 10minutes later there would have been no room for us although we had our booking .com confirmation. Even though the owners realised there was a problem, they were more interested in solving their booking/computer problem than attending to us. We were left standing around, the owner hurriedly showed us our room and left for the weekend.
Review 29:- No cooked breakfast - Rattling pipes at 5 am when the guest next door was taking a shower - Prefer to have the sink in the bathroom and not in the bedroom - Hosts are not always around when you need them

Review 39:Lovely house, lovely people and good value for money. The only thing that would make it better would be a hot (full english style) breakfast. The breakfast provided was still nice with a good choice. Will stay again :)
