Review 1：Unfortunately we found the beds very hard which meant we weren't having the best/most relaxing sleeps (our only complaint about the room as otherwise it was great). The staff were very accomodating of any requests we had and did their best to help with any minor things that came up (eg: room service arrived very late one night and was cold but they remade it and offered it complimentary). The area where the beach beds are laid out plays music for most of the day which we found distracting as we were trying to read and preferred the natural environment and sounds. We mentioned this once to the staff who were happy to turn the music off but we didn't feel comfortable asking for it to be turned off daily - it was hard to know if other guests liked the music or would have preferred it quiet. For us, it felt a bit too 'party' during the day when we were wanting to chill out, and there are other lively places nearby where you can go if you're wanting more action. The pool area was quieter but we were there for the beach so tried to make the most of the earlier mornings (between 7am-10am) when there was no music.

Review 2：Beautifully located and well maintained, friendly and attentive staff. Great beachfront location. Close to everything but not on top of it, a big plus for us. Fantastic NYE fireworks celebration! The best on the beach. Nice personal touches that made it feel very personal (eg: staff knowing your name and always greeting you warmly, butler service by the beach/pool etc). The suite rooms are very generous in size and have a great layout and a balcony. The food is very good. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it - though I think it's a 4 - 4.5 star not quite 5. (we also stayed at another 5 star in the region which had that extra finesse). Boracay is a pretty special place and from what we saw, overall, Discovery Shores, is offering a very high standard of accommodation with some excellent features. A few tweaks here and there would have made it perfect for us!

Review 5：Not enough Nesspresso capsules for the in-room expresso machine and no advice on where extra's could be bought from (no big deal really but for a coffee addict like me it would have topped it all off even more).

Review 6：Service with a smile, great smooth pick up service with AC boat transfer. Lovely room and facilities and fantastic staff. The guys look after you to the point where they come round with celaning solution and clean your sunglasses for you. Cant say enough about the place. Costs a little more, but in this case you mangage to get more than what you pay for. Highly reccomended.

Review 7：Room service was inconsistent and slow. Took over 2 hours for us to get ketchup - I could have literally made ketchup from scratch in that time. Mosquitoes in Sands are brutal. Exchange rate sucks. Wifi is nonexistent.

Review 64：I was slightly disappointed of the service I and my guests received I hosted a dinner for 12 people at the resort's Indigo restaurant. I had chosen the Indigo restaurant for a small, intimate celebration after reading several great reviews in airline and international magazines. Our party had to wait for about an hour and fifteen minutes before our main courses arrived. When we've informed the waiter of our dinner choices, I clearly asked how long it would take and I was given the assurance that the meals will take 25-30 minutes to prepare. As I was the host of our dinner party that night, I was already embarassed after an hour of waiting. I had to walk over to the adjacent restaurant to look for another waiter and inform him of my party's long waiting time and asked for an update. I would have appreciated it if I were informed of any delay on our main courses so I could have arranged for additional drinks or snacks to keep my guests entertained. The food that we ordered tasted excellent but the poor service we experienced somehow dulled the night's celebration.

Review 65：1) I am greatly pleased with the very professional and charismatic behaviors of most of the staff -- from the welcoming party, guest officers, groundscrew and housekeeping, bartenders and spa agents. They are very valuable assets to the resort. 2) Rooms are very spacious but cozy, comfortable and well-lit. It made it difficult for us to choose whether to stay and relax in the room or go outdoors! 3) Overall layout of the resort is also excellent. Very nice and modern architectural design, good mix of modern and natural elements. 4) Excellent food choices at the resort's restaurants.

Review 66：The view of my room is not good (Room 205) as it facing toward the machine room. The loud machine noise is quite disturbing when sit in the balcony.

Review 67：Station one where Discovery Shores located have the best environment compare to the other areas i.e. Station 2 & 3. The room is spacious. The hotel staffs are very polite and helpful. The hotel is very considerate.

Review 68：They provided their guests with utmost attention. We had free snacks every 2 hours either delivered in our room, at the poolside and at the lounges by the beach. They greet everyone with genuine smiles.

Review 69：The wifi was not very good, at least in our room. Very slow sometimes and hard to connect. But i appreciate that the range of wifi is generally not good and does not go through brick walls well. Also there were a lot of stairs to our room on the top level. I found the bathroom door to be a bit dangerous...the spring tension is high and i almost caught my arm in it when it slammed shut. Heavy glass door.

Review 70：This was my first time at discovery shores and i can say i was pleasantly surprised. Discovery Shores staff were waiting for us when we arrived at Caticlan airport and we were taken to a Van and offered mentos by the friendly driver. We were dropped off at an indoor waiting area at the shore and soon were boarding a nice boat to go to Boracay. On the boat were were offered a warm wet towel to freshen up and drinks and snacks for the 10 minute ride. On arrival we were taken in another van to the hotel. Were were offered ice tea as we arrived and then walked to the beach where we waited sitting on sunbeds for the check-in process. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the back above the waterfall and a lift was available from ground level to the top of the waterfall. We were both offered foot massages as we entered our rooms. On the coffee table there was a glass platter with "Welcome to Boracay!" written on it in icing sugar and a palm tree and some treats and a fruit bowel. The staff were friendly and when i needed an extension cord i was promptly provided with one. The room was very nice and the bathroom and sink nice also. The way the staff place the food down so neatly and thoughtfully when serving a meal gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. When walking around outside the staff would bow to us. The swimming pool is really beautiful. They provided towels up request. We booked our activities through the front desk and a van took us to the location. Underwater helmet diving was the highlight for us. The staff were so friendly and they even took our camera and took pictures for us as a couple. The place was fairly quiet and good for honeymoon couples. There was not much night life and the place was pretty dead by 10 pm. Room service was 24 hours and was great. Discovery Shores is a bit expensive but must be one of the best on the island. The beach is so beautiful at this location.

Kuya Jigs for the help with the Paraw and Parasailing. As a whole, our stay in Boracay was better because of the services given to us by Discovery Shore. Rates are quite pricey however it was worth it. I will definitely come back. Totally, a worth spending hotel. Keep it up, Discovery Shores
