Review 1：The bed was not king size as I thought was offered but queen very soft and comfortable but I woke with a bad back needing physio.

Review 2：The location, close to our favourite dining spot in Newcastle with Cafes/restaurants within a few meters. Parking was excellent, off road and secure with easy access to our room. The room was comfortable and reasonably quiet- staff friendly and helpful.

Review 3：We were in a studio and the bathroom window needs black-out curtains as the light comes into the bedroom. Too many stand-by lights in the room.

Review 15：The room we where given was 11 - it seemed it may have been the otherbedroom of a 2 bedroom apartment - the bedroom had no robe or hangingfacilities and quite small - the bathroom was not as an ensuite - theshower over the bath without easy access to taps is very dangerous &awkward. The shelf for toiletries had not been replaced, so left us withno place for personal items - the hairdryer is substandard and should bereplaced - the lighting in the bathroom is very poor - no tissues wheresupplied and the floor hadn't been cleaned with a few dead flies onthe floor. In the kitchen there where only 2 mismatched water glasses.Tea & coffee selection was very basic. The lounge setting is old,tired, very uncomfortable and dirty (stained)! The location is quitegood being central to Darby Street, however, no advice or instructionswhere given in terms of how to "get" to check in if driving -Instructions need to be made available and clear for car entry viaRailway Street. I am guessing these apartments are privately owned andthe owners haven't upgraded (furniture) or paid for the neededmaintenance. On a positive note, the bed was, thankfully verycomfortable. The check in staff were very good. As this was considerablymore expensive than the other property I was looking at by by over$80/night before parking & other fees, I was extremelydisappointed. It definitely did not represent good value and I washoping that it may have been a little indulgent based on the price &description. I would not stay again at that price with these conditions.

Review 16：Little effort in the cleaning process, bedmaking was lazy (not putting quilt cover on, just laid over the bed as a cover up, no fitted sheet) hand prints all over cupboard. Only 1 towel in the bathroom, wasn't enough.

Review 18：The staff were too pained to smile or offer a warm welcome to Newcastle, nor did they even ask if our stay was pleasant upon check out. Simply let us know it would be a $500 call out fee if we lost our keys or made any noise after 10pm.

Review 27：We chose to stay at Crown on Darby after visiting Newcastle last year and asking to see some rooms and were really exicited about staying here. Our room was very dark and had low ceilings. It was nothing like the promotional shots or the rooms we saw. It was a real let down after we had been looking forward to staying there.

Review 30：the walls are paper thin and we could hear every word the people in the next room said..then they had a party till 5am and we got no sleep. 3 complaints and visits from security did nothing to help.... a terrible experience
