Review 1：There was no shampoo or conditioner!! Also when I booked, I booked the room I figured it was considered double occupancy, when I got there they said I had booked single of course I had to pay more!!

Review 7：You have heard it before - pillows could be better, certainly better than Lince Funchal but not great. No fridge and no tea/coffee making facilities.

Review 9：the hotel has emergency exit doors, which are not signed as it. If you go through them, you will become locked, as you cannot return to the hotel. The hotel does not credit miles to the SATA frequent flyer card (SATA Imagine) unless if you book the stay direct with the hotel.

Review 11：Hot tub was out of order and pool area would need sprucing up. Need a proper toaster in breakfast restaurant the present one only dries bread out and does not toast. More comfortable pillows needed and wider mattress sheets that secure properly.

Review 12：Alvaro at front desk was very pleasant as well as, restaurant staff. Location was good, close to town (15 min walk) and close to large grocery store (10 min walk). Window opens which let in fresh air but air conditioning worked very well also. Very bright and cheery because of all the windows throughout hotel. A good size room with neutral colors and nicely furnished with plenty of surfaces and storage.

Review 25：The hotel wasn't in the best part of the city, especially if you expect to be out walking at night. We were out walking around 10 pm (our bodies were still on US time) and didn't feel safe. The wifi was terrible. The hotel staff said that they had a new system and it crashes quite often. Most of the time we could not get wifi in our room or in the lobby.

Review 29：I had €250 taken from the room safe by an unknown person. It is still under investigation but so far I am awaiting a reply as to how this occurred.

Review 33：Clean, open, modern hotel, located within a few minutes drive to the center of Ponta Delgada. Pleasant spacious room; the bed was reasonably comfortable although the pillows were not. There was good (free) wi-fi in the room. We had sea view but the rooms on the western side, towards the city, may have a better view. Buffet breakfast was good although juices artificial. Try the island's tea! Dogs are accepted for a fee. There is a small spa (massage area, hair salon) and a good-sized swimming-pool which is half-in half-out of the building into a small garden. There is also a free private garage.

Minibar - In most hotels you can use it as a fridge for your own food and drinks. Here however you are automatically charged for any removed item. You can tell them to empty it and then you'll be able to use it as a fridge, but it will cost you 2.50 EUR per day.

The breakfast buffet had a wide range of offerings and the front desk staff was very helpful, especially Alduro Bettencourt. I would stay here again and intend to recommend it to my friends traveling to the Azores.

Review 78：This hotel use to be a Holiday Inn so it is a bit generic looking. Very nice an VERY clean but generic. There were quite a lot of families and a children's football team staying there so the noise in the breakfast room was extremely high and there were kids running around the hallways. This is only negative if you are a grumpy old woman travelling alone. :)

Review 82：The air conditioner didn't cool the air. I got 24 degree Celsius for the whole night. I have problems getting to sleep when it's hot. One option was to open the window. The closed window really dampens the outside noise a lot making the room very silent. That's why it seemed it would be disturbing to have it open. Also, the ledge above reflects the sound from the street below. Also a handle at the bathtub seemed was about to break loose. It serves to help you stand up from lying down position. I showered so it was irrelevant. But i guess these not so well maintained items contributed for the lower room price available at Booking.com. In my terms, if i forget the warm room, it's a great place to stay.

Review 83：The hotel is well fashioned and modern. The room was spacious and confortable. A generous lcd TV with a good choice of channels to zap through. The bed mattress is great. I'm used to a harder bed so i enjoyed curving the bed instead of it curving me.The localization is great to walk downtown. It's 15-20 minutes walking distance from the Portas do Mar. The breakfast was good. There's no Wi-Fi on the floors (only at the lobby) but there's internet available in the rooms through the RJ-45 LAN socket. You need to have a ethernet cable with you. Don't know if they can spare one to the customers. I always travel with one so i was prepared. The internet was speedy.

Review 84：The room was too cold (we even turned on the AC but it wasn't enough), and at night there was no hot water to take a shower. Plus, the spa pools could have some more heating.

Review 91：It said it had a spa but where?The breakfast room is too small for the guests it serves. Not enough tables is a concern. The room windows in and out could use a clean. Dead light bulbs need replacing. We had to ask for soap and shampoo replacement as soon as we got to the room as there was none.

Review 97：This was my second stay in March. I re-booked the hotel after my first visit as I was so satisfied with the facilities and friendly, efficient staff. The staff did remember me from the earlier visit and treated me well. The hotel was busier for the second stay but facilities were maintained with quick service in the dining room for dinner and good range of food for the buffet breakfast. The room was cleaned well and the reception staff were helpful and efficient.
