Reviews for Continental Resort
Review 1:The thermostast did not seem to work and it was too warm during the night. When we arrived, we had to go to the reception because the apartment had no toilet paper and sheets for the sofa bed. In addition, the shower walls had orange mold.
Review 2:Friendly staff.
Review 3:The swimming pool was closed!! Had we known the swimming pool was closed, we would not have gone to this Hotel... I purposely chose a hotel with a pool. It did look good!!! Ohhhh they told us you must wear a hat in pool... A tip!! Closed 30th September, 2nd tip!!! No beds on beach no parasols. Beny restaurant closed on a Tuesday?? No notice All food shops in area closed on Sunday... No one told us!!
Review 4:The apartment was large and good value for what we paid. There was x2 couples. As for cleanliness we cleaned the apartment ourselves. No offer of a cleaner and if we changed towels it was extra cost. Reception was helpful. The Beny club adjoined to hotel did the best Pizzas in town... The town of Tirrena was quiet and appeared derelict in many parts along the sea front and town. We did our shop in the large store for food and cooked ourselves. only a few places to eat really. The beach was also quite isolated in that there was not many on it. That was fine except we had no beds to lie on or parasols. At times it was hot and you needed some shade. Beware of mosquitoes .. We all got bitten numerous times, especially as it was hot and rainy at times. It was a good base for culture visits to Pisa and Lucca.. We also visited the caves of del la Vento. Which was an experience. Also the travelling up the Mountains, views of the Italian countryside. Would I go back ... No!! Although we had a good time...
Review 5:moscitos,bring lavander or eucalyptus oil with u:)
Review 6:close distance to the beach, end of season-September,no crowded beach, clean apartments,u can hear the sea from balcony....
Review 7:We visited Tirrenia for 5 days and stayed in the Continental Resport. The location is great: almost on the beach, next to the restaurant, small shops, playgrounds.
Review 8:The main issues we had with this property was the fact that the internet was almost NON existent and SUPER slow. For this type of property- they need to invest in a better wifi system for their guest. It seems that all guest share ONE network. Another issue was the lack of instructions as to how to operate the card entry for both drop arm bar into the drive, and then the gate itself into the parking area. Our card stopped working one night after a long day trip, and we could not get back into the property. Luckily I knew that the Continental Hotel on the other side was owned by the same company and so I went there and they let us in thru the back entrance via their side of the property.
Review 9:The resort itself is very nice. Pool, private beach and gated secure parking. The apartment we had was on the first floor with small fenced yard.(great if you bring your pet) It had a pull out couch and king size bed. Clean sheets and towels were also provided. The kitchen had cooking facilities complete with dishes, classes, utensils and pots as well as fridge.
Review 10:We were there early October and they were packing everything up for the winter (putting away all the sunbeds, deckchairs & literally boarding stuff up around us!).
Review 11:Peaceful resort, clean good sized apartment. Some nice cafes/restaurants near-by.
Review 12:The staff was not helpful and instructions on how to use the different amenities were not clear.
Review 13:The location was great to walk around area and not have to use a car.
Review 14:No dish soap. Ran out of toilet paper. No hand towels. Beds to hard can feel spring's in sofa bed.
Review 15:No communication that pool was closed. This was heavily advertised as one of the features
Review 16:Location is great
Review 17:The room in the picture is not what I got. The picture should match so people know what they are paying for. That you had to wear a shower cap to swim in a pool. You don't get to use an umbrella and chairs free with the room.
Review 18:I loved the closed yard for my pet and that there was no charge for my pet. I loved that there was a full kitchen. There were also enough towels for us to use. They also had a drying rack for the wet clothes.
Review 19:Nit really anything, just bring your own hand and dish soap.
Review 20:It was perfect! The staff were so helpful, the apartment was exactly what we needed. The beach, the shops, and the location was spot on. I will book a week there in the summer.
Review 21:The room was extremely dim: the large cabinet that separated thecooking/eating space from the sleeping space also blocked the lightfrom the french doors to the balcony. The light bulbs in the lightfixtures could have been mistaken for night lights. Also, there was nocomfortable couch/loveseat. The only seating in the studio apartmentwere the four straight-backed chairs at the dining table or the chair atthe desk. A "rollaway bed" had a slipcover, making it looksort of like an easy chair--since we did not use it as a bed--but it wasvery uncomfortable. There was a small folder with "usefulinformation," but it was inadequate. There was a phone in the roombut no phone number on the apparatus and no data on how someone couldreach you on it. The tv required two different remotes; no indication ofthat or which controlled which features. A date was listed for linenexchange, but no data was provided on how that was to be accomplished.Multiple visits to the reception desk (which had limited morning andlate afternoon hours) were required. When we picked up the keys late theevening of arrival, no one said that there was no electricity in theroom unless a jack on the key ring was inserted into a receptor justinside the door!
Review 22:Loved the location: right in the center of Tirrrenia, so we easily couldwalk to shop, eat, etc. Also, right on the beach. The secured, privateparking area was excellent. Terrific view from the balcony to the sea;table and four chairs available on the balcony. The kitchenette wasamply supplied with necessary dishes, utensils, and pots/pans.
Review 23:nothing to do in bad weather
Review 24:Adjacent to the beach. Able to use excellent 50 m pool at Grand Continental Hotel next door (Sister Hotel). Apartment was exceptionally spacious - easily big enough for family of 2 adults / 3 children.
Review 25:A lot of mosquitos near buildings and rooms in May 2013.
Review 26:Excelent support in nonstandards requests. Quiet area in May 2013. Clean room with all equpments, secure parking, staf is friendly, communicative ...
Review 27:1. Floor was not clean. Rub with a white napkin resulted in black layer. All the floors were dirty.2. Insufficient light in the kitchen. 3. Common reception for hotel and resort. Difficult to find the reception. 4. Breakfast is not included in room rate which makes it expensive. Value for money is poor. 5. No free wifi in the rooms. 6. No soap. Insufficient toiletries. 7. Utensils very very dirty. Unusable.
Review 28:1. Apartments are spacious.2. Beach, swimming pool, restaurants, gelataria are close by.
