Review 5：A concern, not a complaint; I prefer more powerful environmental controls (stronger air conditioning). The room temperature during the hottest part of the day is around 80 degrees (26 Celsius), except right in front of the unit. If this is plenty acceptable to you, then your stay will be enjoyable. The manager wrote me to say they would make changes to a few rooms to please more discerning (read: picky) guests. Do not go for the private beach. It is similar to Bulabog Beach - rocky, lots of rotted wood and flora mixed in the sand. No partying here. If you are looking to rock your way to a drunken stupor, go elsewhere.

Review 6：The staff, food, view, and property were excellent. I requested a room move because of a concern with the air conditioning, which was approved and done immediately. The manager wrote me after my stay to assure me the hotel would make changes in some of the rooms to accommodate my desires for environmental control. Super, super, super staff. The hotel property - I wanted to be away from the craziness and noise of White beach. If you ARE into crazy, this is not your hotel. If you are into a quiet place to relax and recover after a day at the beach, this is heaven! I have read other reviews about the food quality being poor. I found it well above average. I would say, if you order a la carte, it is 5 Star quality. The buffet, 4 Star. We desired to go to the beach at an unscheduled time. The staff took us to the main road and hailed a tricycle for us. Superb! This place is PERFECT for unwinding, recovering, and relaxing. It is NOT 'party central', nor does it try to be. After an all-nighter on Station 1, I needed a quiet place to nurse myself back to health. This was the place!

Also very good cocktails. - Possibility of taking shuttle every hour meant that although location was not in central Boracay, this was not missed.

Review 25：Actually every thing in this hotel is so perfect. Staff, facilities, cleanliness, residence ....... Specially the pretty manager Ms. Allyson . when I got a problem in my visa and Credit Card (I can not withdraw Cash through ATM machine) she supported us in our holiday by using the cards in span network and gave us cash many time even after check out of the hotel. I recommend every visitor to spend his Holiday in this beautiful Hotel.

Review 26：The shower design in room 221 is a bad one- the shower head faces the shower opening (with no door) and as soon as you turn it on, the water sprays all over the bathroom floor. Using it as a hand-held shower works, but it would be nice to be able to use as a regular shower.

Review 27：The friendliness/helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. They focus on customer service which is a welcome surprise in Asia. It is also an absolutely beautiful property- both inside and outside. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, as well. The free kayaking and snorkeling equipment gave me the chance to be active but still in a relaxing setting. I wish I could come to this resort every weekend!

Review 28：None of the staff actually smiled except 1 waiter at breakfast. They were just on a job; not much customer service to talk about. There is really nothing special that was worth the premium paid. Our room #313 was really bad, next to a village of sorts. Lots of dogs barking and roosters crowing through the night and day. Extremely noisy.

Review 30：the staff are not competent.The hotel did not pick me up at the airport and badly overcharged me for the trip back to the airport.My room was not ready at check in time.They came back to my room for a tab;e after 10 at night .When i didn't answer the door as I was already asleep the clerk decided to start hollering thru the door crack.I wanted to complain but the girl at the desk told me they had no manager.Hi;;bi;;y stuff really and there was more.At 300 bucks a night they operate worse than a mtel 6.Give it a miss.

Review 35：As others have already pointed out it's not walking distance to the main beach. BUT, free shuttles leave every hour to take you to the beach and same for coming back. However, they stop at 11pm. If you want to stay on the beach past 11pm (which we did), simply just simply pay for a tricycle ride back. If you want easy and fast access between the main beach and hotel this is not a good option. We planned day-long outings at the beach so, the location didn't matter to us so much.

Review 36：From the moment we arrived, *Excellent Hospitality*. Even at check-in, instead of waiting in a line at a counter, they brought us to a table and offered drinks while explaining the amenities, shuttle, check-out time, etc. The room quality and quantity! At 969 ft^2, the kitchen/ocean-view balcony,living room,bedroom & bathroom are double the size than competing hotels. And, they don't sacrifice quality for quantity; the rooms are very nice, clean & comfortable with king-size comfortable bed, and the shower has detachable shower head which I like, 2 TVs (one in living room and one in bedroom), just to name a few things. Excellent breakfast. We had to check out at 5am so I thought we were going to miss breakfast but i was wrong, they cooked it for us *early* and provided it in a Styrofoam to-go box, and it was delicious!

So, we sent certificate of this payment issued by Credit card company to hotel 2 month before our checking in, and showed original certificate payment during our check in and claimed them to check soon. During our stay, no feed back and they always replied that their finance dept. was checking in details. There are no feedback until our back to our country and claimed again by e-mail, but they replied us that they are still checking to their Bank. We already paid 80% payment and waiting PHP5,000. refund. We are very surprised that they did not accept to deduct this PHP5,000. during our check out because they explained no swipe of credit card for PHP5,000. This is the first time for this kind of unfair charges in my life. Without claiming to them, there were no reply!!

Review 40：Location is opposite side from White beach, but 1 shuttle / hour is available between hotel and D mall, so it is very convenient to transfer.

Review 41：It is obvious that the hotel itself is not a 5 star hotel, compared to Shangrila as an example. This is a good 4 star hotel, but not five. The price does not reflect the quality: breakfast is poor, facilities and cleaning shall be improved.

Being on the other side of the island means that you need to travel to the other side to enjoy the beach - which I assume for most, if not all, is the reason they go to Boracay in the first place. The overzealous staff got at times really annoying. In spite of these misgivings, I would still recommend this place to anyone who'll ask me for a good place to stay at Boracay.

Review 44：I've been to Boracay seven times and by far this is place I've stayed in as far as the accommodation is concerned. It is well kept and offers a lot of privacy and respite from the hustle and bustle that Boracay has become. It is worth mentioning that the complimentary breakfast we ate was second to none. They actually made me two perfect sunny-side up eggs. And that coconut cake (?) was one of the best desserts I've ever had.

Review 84：I think that you can expect a bit more from a room that cost 230$ a night in a place like the Philippines, there was nothing special about this hotel to justify the price except the breakfast(which is not enough), it didn't had a decent beach on the premises but you had to ride to a private beach on a shuttle that runs once and hour that ends before the sunset... the shuttle only runs once an hour which is insufficient and limiting, the water activities that were promised on the hotel description are all with extra charge which is not specified, basically the hotel is not luxurious in any way, u get treated by the staff like in five star but that's it, real real disappointment for me as it was a pricey with nothing special to show for

The chef was obviously capable, but this boutique hotel was trying to maintain a 5-star menu that that would appeal to travelers from all over the world. . . while this effort was commendable, some of the food tasted frozen/reheated. (A relatively smaller kitchen would not have been able to maintain such a large stock-room) We suggest to offer some daily specials using local ingredients. Perhaps even a highlight of dishes from the Philippines in a 'moderne Filipino' presentation.

Review 87：This resort blended beautifully with the surrounds - perched on a hill overlooking lovely Boracay. The view from the apartment was stunning. The apartment itself was fitted out with a unique style that was classy and very appealing. The staff were hard-working and eager-to-please, yet relaxed and always ready to serve in a friendly, conversational style. Peaceful and serene, with an hourly bus down into the hustle and bustle of the main beach.

Review 90：Besides the gorgeous seaviews, the beautiful infinity pool and the spacious rooms.. We loved the staff! Everyone of them made us feel So welcome and were so accomadating to us. You could not ask for more genuine, helpful and thoughtful staff. They are like mind readers, before you can even ask a question they are bringing it to you or asking you if you want it. When we checked in we were offered welcome drinks and a fruit platter in the room. Any time we were sitting in the lobby we were approached n offered cakes, water and even glasses of wine. Cannot recommend this place enough

Review 91：Staff found it odd that I was staying there since I am Filipino and did not look like I could afford the place. Everyone else were European or American. I regularly got asked my room number when I walked around and used their facilities/services. A few times they would watch me to see if I can get into my room. Location was not great at all. It was very windy and it's all you can hear in the room.it was also far from the main strip where all the fun is. I went with my husband and our 4 year old son. We used the free bus service to get to station 3 and nearly spent anytime in the hotel room. Only recommended for those who like to stay indoors and relax.

Review 93：You really need washer/dryer units in the rooms or somewhere accessible on the resort. In the rooms would be preferable. The dishwashers really are not necessary, so you could substitute the washer/dryers for the dishwashers. Besides, dishwashers take away from business in the restaurant.

But what made our stay the best was the wonderful staff, especially two young ladies in the restaurant - Claire and Clairess. Claire was by far, the friendliest and the most gracious person we've ever met at a resort. You would do well to promote her to the highest position working in guest relations. She made our stay excellent and memorable!

Review 99：Restaurant menu is expensive, short and unimaginative. It’s like eatery menu with some very basic dishes, it does not make you want to try something else. Staff is not trained to make their own decisions. After I missed the shuttle bus to the main beach, I asked staff if someone can give me the lift to the road where I can catch other transport. I was told that they can’t help me. And there was at least two golf carts available and few staff members standing around doing nothing.

Review 101：We just went through Typhoon Haiyan while staying at Monaco Suites de Boracay. I would like to comment on the amazing staff of the hotel who went out of their way to ensure our safety and well being during a time when their own family were also in danger. The staff prepared for the emergency well and helped everyone to get through it with minimum impact. The hotel has a generator so there was still power despite the island being cut off. I am very relieved we chose to stay at this hotel and wish the people who helped us all the best.

Review 125：The two bedroom suite was very roomy with a rooftop as well as a spacious balcony. We had booked twin beds in the second bedroom but when we got there a double bed was there. The staff came and changed within the hour. The pool was lovely, the shuttle was pretty convenient. It was a nice touch to have the beds down at the White beach as well.
