Review 1：First room the toilet would not flush so had to change rooms. In second room the toilet leaked over the floor our last morning. Both rooms had badly stained carpets.
Review 2：Best feature was the location - very close to Queensgate, shopping centre and bus station.
Review 3：Musty smell in bed cover. Removed it from bed so that it wasn't disturbing my wife's night. .

Review 5：The carpets were really old and stained, some of the items in the room had dried water stains, the bath leaked, day I checked in there was no hot water in the shower, there was no one at reception for check in and there was no bell to ring for attention, hotel smells. Probably one of the most uncomfortable hotels I've stayed in.

Review 7：On arrival the staff were blunt and didn't want to know us. The rooms were tiny shoeboxes and poorly facilitated. Then on departure the man on Reception didn't even want to call us a taxi and told us to walk to the station, he was very rude :-( On a whole we were very disappointed . It certainly was not how it is described on the websites.

Review 9：No iron in the room, but one was delivered when I asked for it. Room decor is tired, and out of date. Curtains look very old. No bath mat in bathroom. Poor repair workmanship in bathroom. Shower pressure varied and water temperature kept changing. When I checked out the woman in reception tried to charge me an additional fee for the booking.com commission.

Review 11：as they were advertising excessive sum's of money for an internet connection in my opinion they clearly don't know the western way and lack of maintenance as well. Some tuition would go a long way to there success in this business.

Review 13：The carpets in the rooms were filthy. Asked for a wake up call, which did not come. Hotel Chinese resturant was rated as 5 star, but we had difficulty getting our beverages, the rice never did show up, the scallop and blackbean sauce dish was terrible. Scallops were soft and tasted fishy. Definately not fresh.

Review 17：Getting a phone call late in the evening asking me if I was still going to check in. I had checked in at 4.30 that afternoon. Obviously, there computer system or communication with staff is not good enough?

Review 19：Perhaps the lack of a hot water supply in the morning may have been to do with the age of the hotel & its facilities. The staff did provide a discount though. The hotel generally seemed in need of re-carpeting and repainting.

Review 25：I got a phone call from the receptionist at 11.20pm asking if I was going to take up my booking. I rang her back from room 204 at the hotel and advised her I had already checked in and was in bed. not good!!

It took 3 choices before I got something I would want and in the end I asked them to tell me what was available because everything I wanted was unavailable.

Review 34：The room was just right for us and so very warm,slept like a log and enjoyed the experience because we did not stay around for most of our stay but everything worked well for us there. Staff left us alone to come and go when we liked and enjoyed the stay.
Review 35：I did not like the smell. Also when I would shower the water would leak out onto the floor. The last thing I did not like was the fact there is no utensils. Like a plate and a fork etc. Would be awesome to have.

Review 38：Upon arriving at the property I was greated by an unhappy receptionist / owner and the reception area smelt strongly of ethnic style cooking odours. Our room was very unkempt with flaking paint, think dust caked on the vents in the ceiling, mould in the grout around bath & shower and curtain hanging off the wall. The bath floor is very unsafe and caused a serious fall which has resulted in bruising and requiring medical attention. AND... to cap it all off we arrived back to the hotel on Saturday evening after being out for dinner to be greeted by the owner walking out of the front door and spitting on the ground in front of us as we entered and when I commented on this she just grunted and turned and walked away. I would not recommend this hotel at all. And considering it is constructed inside the old Lower Hutt Police station, one wonders if the previous "guests" of the Police would have had a more comfortable stay than we did...
Review 39：Check out wasnt done well, there was no one at the reception or came when i rang the bell. when i phoned they said they weren't coming down to reception just leave the key and go. Rather rude when check out was from 7am and i had to be somewhere and no info about check out at reception if they weren't going to be there.
