Review 1：For the price it wasn't worth the stay and we paid $99 and got there rooms were from $89. In all honesty only worth $50.

Review 3：This is about Booking.com. Your practice of putting prices in US dollars, without the Australian price being shown, deceived me. I got a shock when my $159 (US) room appeared as $218 on my Visa. Next time I will be very wary of your website.

Review 5：Great pet friendly motel. Excellent from that point. No hassles. All pets well behaved. Basic accommodation but excellent because I could have my dog with me. Close to all town amenities.
Review 6：The two criteria for choosing the premises was that it had a pool and free wifi (intended for our 8 year old to use). On arrival, the pool was padlocked (it was a 28 degree summer day). When asked if we could use the pool, the vague response was "I think they must have put chemicals in the pool and that's why it's locked". Who "they" were, was anyone's guess as there were no other staff on the premises. To make things worse, the wifi could only be used by sitting in the office. My wife had to stand in the office in front of a very cranky receptionist to use the wifi. The website said that we had purchased a "refurbished family room". Refurbished from what???. The room was a 50s themed (unintentional I am sure) with a rating of one star (as was the energy rating on the fridge that had a seal that did not close). The bathroom sliding door (not that is slid) was dangerous, not to mention the ceramic soap holder had been broken and cemented back on the wall. Also, it was never mentioned that this hotel was "doggy day care". Turns out, that there more 4 legged creatures than 2 legged ones and my wife is allergic to animals.
Review 7：The wireless worked eventually, but the signal was not strong at the far end of the property. The rooms were basic, but clean.

Review 9：The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were well laid out for a family with a young child. Room was clean and fridge had bottled water and milk ready for a cuppa.

Review 16：The bed was a bit too hard. The mirror in the ensuite had a cupboard, but we couldn't use it because it had broken weatherboard behind which weren't covered up. When we opened up the cupboard in the bedroom we could see the cabling for the microwave, and fridge- not sure how safe that could be if little kids stayed in that room. The noise levels. The country train going past didn't bother me at all. However on the first night around 4:30 in the morning until they left after breakfast, the little boy in the next room kept myself and my partner awake. His 6 hour temper tantrum complete with screaming, yelling, whining and stomping was really quite impressive; and not appreciated after the long drive the day before. I know that was not the fault of the motel owners- however if the rooms had better sound-proofing than it would not have felt or sounded like he was right in the next room.
Review 17：Good location. We could walk to the shops in Horsham and the Grampians was only a hour away by car. We could park right outside our room.

Review 20：In our opinion this motel was rated inaccurately. It was a budget motel for people carrying pets. The term renovated was grossly inaccurate. Bathroom tiles were broken , main window frame hanging loose, bathroom cabinet back was smashed and refrigerator back formed part of wardrobe.
Review 21：The room was beautifully made up and spotless. Was very surprised as we were not expecting such a lovely property. Beds were very comfortable, a treat after a long drive. Breakfast was a nice addition too. Thank you.

Review 26：Despite being recently refurbished the room was tired and old fashioned. The fridge and air con were very noisy. Trains ran along the line a few meters away through the night, often sounding their horn. The pool is tiny and the area around it was not at all inviting. The promised cooked breakfast option was not available, nor was the option of breakfast in my room (also advertised). The wifi didn't work in my room (no 21, a long way from reception). Worst of all, in the middle of the night, I was woken by a crashing noise - I got up and looked around and could see nothing so thought it must have been outside. Took ages to get back to sleep with the various noisy things mentioned above, not ideal as this was my break in the middle of a solo 800 km drive. Got up the next morning and realised a huge picture had fallen off the lounge area wall and was now behind the sofa; the picture had been held on with tape, no sign of any hooks or nails! On returning to the bedroom area, I saw one of the two smaller pictures above the bed was also hanging off the wall, about to fall!! Had this actually fallen, it could have injured me. All in all, a very poor experience

Review 37：The room was destined online as recently refurbished, I don't call a coat of paint and new prints on the wall a refurbishment. And the motel was located between the highway and railway line, not an ideal position. Also the car park was gravel/stones.

The bed was so comfortable and the unit was very clean and welcoming . l would highly recommend this property to people and was excellent value for money and a great atmosphere.

Liked the replanted front garden and the tub garden along the driveway to the rooms. The continental breakfast was a bonus and most welcome as were the electric blankets.

Review 62：The bed was a little too hard and coverings not warm enough. This may suit people who prefer a firmer bed but made it difficult for me to sleep. The AC was also quite loud which meant we couldn't use heating whilst going to bed.

Review 76：My boyfrriend and I booked a double bed room with smerdon as a stop over between Adelaide to melbourne. We were given clear instructions on where to get our room key outside check in time (we arrived an hour later than the 9pm check in). When we entered the room' the heater was already on as well as the electric blanket. It was so lovely to walk into a warm room from the terribly cold weather, it was so welcoming and the room was comfortable and clean.
Review 77：The air conditioner was shocking!! So old, it blew cold air and was EXTREMELY NOISY !!! Actually frightened me each time it did it, which was often and regular. Why not put a small fan heater in each room?

Review 79：Rooms are old and tired, window air conditioner was ancient and didnt warm the room up much. Kettle had been boiled dry and required replacement (replaced straight away). Bathroom was tiny with no bench space for dilly/makeup bags, also no room to dry yourself, had to go out to the front area to dry myself and put on my makeup.

Review 97：The bed was low and really soft. 2 singles pushed together. One was soft and the other was hard. Not same beds so kept separating from the other. I ended up sleeping alone on the other single bed. Would pay to call and confirm bed configuration as it differs to what's advertised. TV is really small and in an awkward position to watch from anywhere in the room. The TV in the joined room is probably older than I am. There were cock roaches in the bathroom and the shower was horrible. The temperature didn't know weather it wanted to be solid hot or solid cold. It took about 10 mins to work it out to a proper temperature. The rate we paid was a bit excessive. I probably could have got a better room with better facilities for a portion of the price if I had looked around properly. Pool needed a clean as well.
