Review 1：This hotel seems to date from around the 1960s/70s and it's showing its age. The lift rattled and banged made us a bit nervous. The bathroom was spotlessly clean but in bad condition. The bedroom was tired with peeling wallpaper but once again spotlessly clean.

Review 2：This is an excellent hotel if you are looking for a cheap place to stay near Pisa airport but also right next to sea Lucca Viareggio and other lovely places. There are 2 places to play golf 2 minutes from hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and the whole place is kept very clean.

Review 3：distance of the beach from the hotel is definitely not 300 (260)m as it is written, but 800 - but it's not as big minus, the journey is not ok non-functional WiFi in the rooms (not just our problem) OK signal only in the hallway or reception, although They convince staff to the contrary breakfast rich, but still the same even if you pay € 16 for (hotel´s beach) deckchair to and umbrella you can not choose your location (lifeguard tells you that you can not go to the chairs to the sea and you can only go further from the sea). The advantage of free beach :possibility to order a deck chair and umbrella, site selection (15€) or you can bring your owen deckchair, umbrella...

Review 17：The hotel is labelled as 4 stars... maybe this was true 40 years ago. Nothing changed since the 60s!! Old beds, old toilets, old furnitures. Everything is old and need to be updated. It reminds the "shining" hotel.

Review 18：The breakfast was the only positive thing

Review 19：We stayed last year and for the same price had a great room on the 7th floor. This year, the room was small, the children had to sleep in a kitchen, we were right above the loading bay, which was very noisy from very early. Right opposite the window was a fair which was also noisy to early in the morning. The room was on the 1st floor and there was no lift, and no offer of a porter to carry our bags. The resort itself suffers from Mosquitos, which can be problematic, but not a reflection on the hotel. This is not a 4 star hotel, closer to a 2 star with a nice lobby. No tea & coffee in the room, which at the price i would expect as a minimum.

Review 20：The location to the beach and restaurants was good. The parking out of peak season was readily available. The staff on the front desk were helpful. The breakfast was also quite good. Nice to have a pool too.The hotel lobby gives a great impression and overall is very clean.

Review 21：This is ok hotel in resort of Italy that has its best times long gone. This please was just like from Jack Nikolson's Shining movie. Its seemed quite empty for its size and was not a bit modern or anything. There was no investment into interior of hotel for two decades at least. One night ok but no more than that.

Review 65：It's old and dirty, definetely needs renovation. It reminds the hotels from the times of a deep communism. Room were big but dark with very old and ruined furnitures. In the breakfeast the coffee was ugly, and it was a big-5minutes line to the coffee machine. The breakfeast rather poor. In reality the hotel is much older and dirtier that on the photos. I would not turn in this place again.

Review 72：As I said in the "like" portion, the hotel was dated, which I know may be a problem for some. Also, the elevators didnt really seem too safe, as one of them felt like it was going to fall every time it stopped. Realistically, the hotel wasnt that bad, and the staff was helpful.

Review 73：The hotel was located within walking distance to the Tirrenia town center, as well as some good local dining choices, and the beach. The hotel was a bit dated, but the balcony, the pool and the view from our room made up for it, plus we werent in our room very much, so it really wasnt an issue. The bed was still comfortable to sleep in, and we found a couple English-speaking channels that we could watch, and understand when we were relaxing for the night. Finally, the breakfast was very good, with freshly made pastries and fresh fruit set out, plus there was also a coffee/espresso maker, that gave you the choice of about 10 different drinks. All in all, it is a good hotel to stay at, if you are not looking for a luxury room, that you are going to stay in the entire time you are on vacation.

Review 76：The continental breakfast means ham and cheese. The staff purposely turned off the wifi because they didn't like us hanging out in the lobby. The only place you can get wifi is in the lobby. I had a paper due and couldn't do it because they turned it off. We had a large group of softball players and a lady desk clerk told us we can hang out in the room by the bar while grilling outside and other staff got mad and made us move. They are very bitter people. Don't make any mad or they will sabotage you.

Review 80：We do not recommend this hotel at all. We were hugely disappointed andcontemplated leaving in the night for fear that at the exposed electricscould cause a fire.It is not 4* at all. It has the potential to look like a nice place from outside but inside the main reception the fish tank was so green you could barely see the fish which was a small indication of what was to come. We were booked in to the apartments which turned out to be down the road a bit. The apartment had MOULD in the bath, on the fittings and services, the taps and metal objects and even the bottom of the bath was RUSTY; in the bedroom the wooden items (drawers, wardrobes) were different wood and DID NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. Even the pictures were tacky clip frames with wrong sizes photocopied pictures falling out. Worst still the lights were falling apart with the bulb fitting loose and WIRES WERE EXPOSED (yes - I am not exaggerating); the toilet, when flushed, screeched for minutes afterwards. Outside our 'balcony' had a view of huge pipes obscuring the view of bushes. The outside wall had paint flaking off, cracks and even parts where bits of the EXTERIOR WAS COMING AWAY!When I went to the Concierge to discuss the issues, I expressed my dissatisfaction suggesting that there was no way that this hotel should be rated four star. THE HOTEL RECEPTIONIST AGREED IT WAS NOT 4*. The manager refused to come and speak about the issues. I have videos and photographs which I will be adding to YouTube showing how poor the quality of the hotel is.It was also not suitable for 4 people as advertised either. They had put two beds in the through room between the bathroom and the bedroom which also had the 'kitchen' and dining room table in so you could barely get passed between the bed and the dining room table and the walls either side.They also indicated before hand that we would need to book and pay for a garage space for our car but it turned out there was plenty of other parking.

Review 82：The layout of the room was poorly designed: bed area and bathroom both small with a large dining kitchen area between, more than 2/3 people needed, but much too late now. Staffing level seemed low and therefore the staff seemed to be working very hard although this did not affect us.

Review 83：The whole experience of staying for 10 days at Grand Hotel Golf was good. Our room in the apartment block was spotlessly clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor and furnishing were clearly of another era but this lent charm and comfort to the hotel because it had not been given a "makeover". This probably explains why the rates are very competitive.

Advertised as a Golf hotel, with a 9 hole course next door, it was a shame that there were only two sets of golf clubs available to hire and both were very old and generally useless. Most disappointing and only one round was played when 2 or 3 were planned.
