Reviews for Hotel Restaurant Engelanderhof

Review 1:The friendliness of the staff and owner. I would very much like to return to the hotel one day and stay for longer to explore more of Holland with my wife. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. THANK YOU

Review 2:Nothing

Review 3:We stayed at the Englanderhof on the last night of our holiday on the way back to Calais. The lady at reception was very friendly and showed us to our room which overlooked the garden and perfectly suited our needs. We ate in the hotel and had a superb meal and we were not rushed which was pleasing. Breakfast could be taken either indoors or outside and gave us a really good choice.

Review 4:Restaurant a bit pricey, and the room could have been better insulated against external noise- TV next door and door slamming

Review 5:Excellent restaurant and friendly staff, the bedroom was well equipped and comfortable

Review 6:Yes, it is important to have a clean room, with a good bed and nice / flexible lighting in the room. But is also nice if the common rooms are nice and staff knows your name at the first breakfast

Review 7:We have stayed here twice before and found it always to be very clean and tidy with staff who are always willing to help. We will stay here again in the future and can highly recommend it.

Review 8:Issued with just one key. and perhaps the lock system could be up graded to electronic types.

Review 9:Friendly and helpful staff, Ease of public transport, cleanlinesses of all facilities, location, rooms basic but comfortable.

Review 10:We like the location, close to Apeldoorn and not too far from the belied recreation area There is no elevator so we needed help carrying our suitcases upstairs but that was no problem. At checkout time they again offered us help carrying our cases. We recommend the restaurant. It offers good value for the price.

Review 11:Wifi didn't Work in the room for my business work, but I immediately got a new room upon request. Dining alone I would not order a full bottle of wine and the house wine that was the only choice by glass was not really drink worthy. My steak was great, but my (tasty) apple pie was served without the ice cream and caramel as stated in the menu...

Review 12:Fine and spacy room and even better after I got a new room due to lack of Wifi in the first room. wonderful land lady. Nice garden with a little pond.

Review 13:- Abandoned tennis court looks like there is more potential

Review 14:- Excellent, unthrottled wifi - Very nice grounds - Feel at home in this nice, small & cosy hotel - Excellent breakfast for a 3-star hotel, close to 4-star standards - Excellent restaurant

Review 15:Nice welcome, comfortable room and excellent restaurant for an evening meal. Hotel in quiet village location yet within 2 miles of the motorway

Review 19:Very good food in the restaurant.

Review 20:Very lumpy pillows

Review 21:No bedsid table , lighting inadequate

Review 22:Receptionist very friendly and more than helpful, location car park and bike shed

Review 23:The steep staircase to the rooms located on the 1st floor can be a challenge with a heavy suitcase.

Review 24:The staff, the restaurant and the spacious room.

Review 25:Dinner prices were rather high, with a main dish ranging between 18 and 23 Euros on average. However, to be fair, all the restaurants we've been to were in the same price range. It seems that dining out is generally quite expensive in the Netherlands....

Review 26:We were upgraded to a deluxe room, wich was quite nice and surprising. Breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from. Something for everyone. The location was quiet with the center of Beekbergen just minutes away on foot (really is a small nice village) and Apeldoorn just around the corner by car. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Review 27:dated décor stairs quite steep/no lift bathroom floors very slippery when wet dangerous

Review 28:staff friendly nothing too much bother. spacious good sized rooms good location

Review 29:Very unfriendly waitresses and the restaurant is overpriced. Beds are small and not comfortable. Comfy sitting areas are sparse. Breakfast never changes.

Review 30:Location was fine and the outdoor setting for the restaurant was nice. Backyard is also nice.

Review 31:Restaurant was poor quality and overpriced with terrible service. Rooms are a bit small and sparsely furnished. Internet was quite unreliable.

Review 32:Close to Apeldoorn and Arnhem. Quiet surroundings. Nice lobby.

Review 33:A dog friendly hotel, easy to find, very clean and modern. Food very good and staff extra friendly.
