Reviews for Boutique Hotel Traditional
Review 1:The lack of a tourist map of Astana. They need to up their staff knowledge of key things to see, bus routes etc. Even if Kazakh Tourism has not printed one, they could create one. It seems a great place for Russian speaking people. The staff were helpful and nice (in a Russian way). Takes time to get used to it but it has a warmth.
Review 2:If u want to go back in time to probably Tsar Russia, u will enjoy it. Drapes and curtains with a very silent lobby. I had a nice room with a view fo Khan Shatyr, the largest tent in the world. IT would be nice if a second round of coffee could be served with breakfast. Small things make the big difference.
Review 3:Apart from the hotel not having a record of my booking, the service was impeccable. Allowing me to check in early as the room was available and assisting with taxi bookings, as I don't speak Russian, made my stay very enjoyable and relaxing.
Review 4:Prices are high, although this seems quite true of most higher end in Astana. Bathroom could have been more equipped with say a bath rather than small self contained shower. A/C could have been stronger as well.
Review 5:Excellent service. Arrived at 4am . . they had a light dinner menu available and drinks. Restaurant connected to the hotel was very good as well. Was probably the best place i ate in Astana on the whole although I was only there for a few days. Rooms were nice, very clean and well decorated. Wifi was reasonable (4-7Mbps) and the signal was o.k. Location was central considering the size of Astana. I'd definitely stay here again.
Review 6:The WiFi was not great. Signal strength seemed fine, but something was blocking a lot of sites or causing them to crash. I became so frustrated I walked ten minutes to the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn, where the WiFi worked great.
Review 7:The view from my room was awesome, especially of the Khan Shatyr changing colors through the night, but also of the brand-new national theater and also the sunset. The room had an interesting shape, and felt sort of traditional and elegant, even though the building is clearly brand-new. The room did not seem to have AC, but was very comfortable and breezy, even though it was already getting quite hot in early June. I was quite comfortable.
Review 8:The worst breakfast ever with the most pretentious menu. The English translation is worth staying at the hotel for!!!!, but do not order the English breakfast, tasteless!! since when have red kidney beans on a lettuce leaf been part of an english breakfast
Review 9:Bedrooms very big. very good quality furnishings. Modern hotel made to look old style, WIFI good
Review 10:Non smoking room had a some smell of smoke. I am very sensitive to the smell but it was the only little inconvenience during our stay
Review 11:The staff of the hotel was very friendly, attentive and helpful. They provided service beyond our expectations. We were feeling really welcomed there
Review 12:Wifi of good strength was available in all facilities, just not thatfast as one would expect. Pricing is adjusted to 4*average; however, foreu business traveller expensive.
Review 13:Mmembers of staff were very professional and most of them also veryfriendly. I stayed for five nights and from very moment staff in eachsituation remebered my first name. I felt like a member of a largefamily. Clean bathroom, plenty of towels, nice shower cabin, warm waterin couple of seconds. Wake up call exact like a swiss watch. Enough roomfor personal belongings. Good sound proofing.
Review 14:Just a minor point: Food and servisse at the restaurant was good, but quite expensive even for Astana. I wish they had a smaller menu (e.g. a seasonal menu). With so many cost-effective restaurant options in the surrounding shopping centres I ended up only having lunch at the hotel restaurant once.
Review 15:The staff were very nice, helpful and professional. I do not speak Russian or Kasakh so a lot of mimicking went on, but we always managed to communicate effectively. All the transfers, etc worked very well. The hotel was in a brilliant location to visit most of the sites on foot. The distances are huge in this modern capital, but if you like walking it is perfectly feasable. The room was one of the most confortable rooms I have ever had. I travel 50% of the time and have stayed in many 5 star hotels over the years, but the Traditional Hotel completely exceeded my expectations in terms of confort and for a fraction of the price of the international chains. Unlike the impersonal and formulaic hotel chains, the Traditional offers a local touch and a lot of personality. I highly recommend the Traditional.
Review 16:It was not possible to book transfer from hotel to the airport in the late evening for early morning departure with the hotel's car, so you either book your hotel transfer with much time in advance, or book external city taxi (through reception it is possible).
Review 17:Breakfast is very good, with variety of choices. Room is comfortable.
Review 18:Some basic English skills would be helpful. The lady at reception told me taxi cost 2500 tenge, and than the driver charged 3500 and I had no more cash. It was a bit annoying.
Review 19:Acommodation was good, with a good shower, spacious room, comfortable bed (what is not that easy to find in Kazakhstan) and friendly and helpful staff. Location is fine, close to the show hall and not far from downtown modern Astana. The shoping centre accross the road has options to those not willing to pay the high prices at the hotel's restaurant (whose food is good).
Review 20:Rooms are not clean enough. The bed was very old and not comfortable.
Review 21:Prime location. Walking distance to Khan Shater. Breakfast is very good with wide local choices.
Review 22:Wifi on the 3rd floor was too slow to hold a conversation over skype. Nobody spoke English...but it forced me to practice what little Russian I know.
Review 23:Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Place was nice and clean.
Review 24:Poor knowledge of English nevertheless people did everything to help. Wifi wasn`t excellent, dropped out now and then. Not nice if you watch WK football ;-)
Review 25:perfect location very clean
Review 26:It was very warm in the room and the bed was very small
Review 27:The location was perfect and the old style of the hotel was very nice
Review 28:some problems with wifi reliability and beds are not very comfortable . Breakfast menu variety needs some improvement
Review 29:Breakfast is fancy but small. I prefer smorgasbord...
Review 30:Almost perfect! The best part of the hotel is staff!
Review 31:everything is just perfect
Review 32:breakfast only serve from7:30am
Review 33:location is good with many restaurants and shopping mall. easy access central district
Review 34:Poor Wi-Fi (not of a standard needed in a business hotel) and limited range of choices for breakfast.
Review 35:Comfortable bed, convenient location, friendly staff.
Review 36:Wifi signal is unstable, even if it shows a good connection, sometimes you cannot open any webpage, no matter are you in lobby or in your room. Restaurant which is attached to the hotel offers mostly russian and european meal. But those remarks are really little things....
Review 37:It is very rare when you find such a hotel like this. When you come in you understand, that you came not in a hotel but to somebodies house and admistrator Diana is like a real hostess of this house, very friendly, intelligent, polite and ready to help in any minute in order to make you feel very important and most desired person in this hotel. You will feel it in her each gesture and word. Other hotels should send their administrators to her for skills improvement training! Hotel itself is really like a boutique, design of hall, lobby, lift and room performed in very delicate and unique way, everything in ballance, no odd elements like too much gold or furniture which is quite popular in russian hotels. Breakfast is really tasty and fresh, served on order from menu. It was really pleasant, that they were agree to serve breakfast to my room in 5:40 in the morning due to my very early check out. You hardly will find such option in other hotels. They have their own shuttle to airport, costs about 16 EUR (4000 tenge) and can include this price into your bill for the room. If you think to choose radisson or hilton, you will find same standard as everywhere but here you will get something different what will give you unforgettable memories of this city, which those hotels unable to give.
Review 38:Probably the best choice in Astana if you are looking at: value for money / quality / service / ... Compared with the other hotels in Astana is this hotel very cosy and romantic!
Review 39:very polite and knowledgeable staff, fantastic interiors and rooms, great quisine.
Review 40:All things
Review 41:Nobody able to speak English Electrical continuous problems inside the room
