Review 1:There is smoking allowed in all public areas of the hotel and this spoils it for the majority of people who do not smoke. I would even say that I would not use this hotel again just because of that. There are no segregated no smoking areas and the non smokers have to endure the smog from the smokers which affects the enjoyment of the live acts, restaurants, gaming etc. This is not acceptable for a 5 star international hotel and it will have to change soon.

Review 7:There's no other staff like rey. Most of the staff didnt greeted us even we're all on the hallway, like the housekeeping people and even the Supervisors don't know how to greet on ALL of their guests. Mary of Fresh restaurant was so snobbish. January 1, 2016 our first breakfast for the year, she was the one assisting us. I asked for a green tea upon sitting on our table, she just said "okay sir", after minutes there was no tea, then i approached Mary again for a follow up of my tea. Same response. After minutes of waiting, there was still no tea served! She don't even greeted us a Happy New Year! And we didn't even saw a glimpse of smile on her face. by the way, upon checking in, our room doesn't have facial tissues and slippers. I just approached the housekeeping cleaning on the other room to give us those things

Review 8:The hotel's facilities are excellent and of high quality. I would like to give commendation to Rey of Concierge, the one who were on morning shifts during our stay, because he was so courteous to us, he even stayed and assisted us during the time where so bored waiting for our rooms to be available, he also gave us a tour in the hotel, we didn't felt that he was tired on staying with us, instead every question we asked on him, he always responded us politely.

Review 9:Cehcking in and checking out took a bit of time.there was no que for people with young children or pregnant women. I was carrying my daughter who was sleeping while checking in and nobody even approached me to go on a faster line or to go first.

Review 11:Due to the design of the hotel, there are no rooms with balconies. This is a pity because there are fantastic views of the ocean and city. If your a smoker book an appropriate room but you can't open the window!

Review 12:All the hotel facilities are new and excellent. But the price reflects this. If you are into tables,slots and gaming then this is one of the best in Manila with superb outdoor pool and eating options. Be prepared Westerners are in the minority in this hotel.

Review 22:1- After we check-in no one assisted us to the room. 2-Booking was made two weeks before our arrival for a room with garden view but was not provided during our stay instead was given a room with construction view. 3-Breakfast included in the booking were not specified that are only for adults and so children's breakfast were charge half-price. 4-Aside from swimming pool there is no other activity/play area for kids. 5-No available bidet or spray in the toilet.

Review 23:Comfort and cleanliness Luxury at the Sky tower.

Review 24:One problem we did have was the booking was for 2 Adults and 1 11 year old, however that information on the booking was not considered and the room only had 1 bed so we had to make use of the chair and footstool for the extra person to sleep. I had a query on the way it was charged to my Visa card but on checking when back in New Zealand that had been rectified.

Review 25:Booked a deal online as we wanted to stay close to airport. Good deal and staff on arrival(Jurgen) and departure(Jenny) were pleasant and great to deal with. As family and friends live in the area we will consider staying here again on our next trip.

Review 28:For the first time the bothered our sleeping time because they undergo a maintenace of the elevator in the sky tower that makes us feel mad... We played casino for 10 hrs then we got upset because of the noise of drilling in the wall... Inconsiderate... We paid a lot for our room for us to rest but what we got is we got lack of sleep... We called for the reception to call the attention and to complain then it repeated the other day...

Review 29:I like the facilities the amenities and the staffs...

Review 30:Room -there were unscrapped calcium deposits in the bathroom tiles which already turned black. Non-smoking rules - must apply to the whole non-smoking floor. Making the elevator waiting area a smoking area deffeats the purpose. The smokes does affect the whole floor and even enters the room. Guards - entrance guargs must explain why children are not allowed to enter the premises and must ask properly if guests are checked-in. They should not promote any commotions which embarasses us guest. Restos - the sunset pool resto, was making us ice tea right there infront of where our cabana is facing and we saw that he was using the same spoon to stir and taste the icetea! Dusgusting right! Housekeeping - opened our room door without hesitations if someone is in the room even if the no disturb sign is hanging on the door. When i reported to the manager, the only thing he said is "heres a calling card, next time tou stay and experience the same please call the manager in charge".

Review 31:The swimmingpool was very big and very clean. The private cabanas with jacuzzis' are a good plus.

Review 32:They have mistakenly overcharged our credit card by A$459 which we have filed a complaint for.shuttle service always try to squeeze in guests and asked my 9 year old kid to sit on my lap.shuttle service drivers do not follow traffic rules.very bad customer service in their resto bar where nobody takes our order and we have to approach the counter even to ask for water.credit card payment doesbnot wprk in that resto so i have to be charged extra for charging in the room instead.being a relatively new hotel, it is not well mmaintained.we have a busted lamp and a loose toilet flush upon check in with poor quality of room cleaning.

Review 58:The "king" bed is not a true king. I think you have to upgrade to get a true king. The hotel is not really kid-friendly as it smells of smoke in practically the entire ground floor where they have the casino. The hotel didn't look full and we saw rooms being prepped up as late as 9 pm but they wouldn't grant us a late check out beyond 1 pm.

Review 59:The facilities are superb. No trouble connecting to the Wifi. The breakfast buffet is great. You'll never run out of choices. And the Fresh restaurant where they have the buffet is a nice, bright place.

Review 62:I loved everything about Solaire specially the people who are helpful and friendly.I am a hotelier too and i have stayed and worked in many hotels but i considered Solaire as one of the best hotel to stay with and most probably one of the best hotel to work with!

Review 63:parking area from sky tower to car park, long walk from car park to sky tower and i have kids which we were walked along the casino which is not good for kids to see ...almost after security from parking to sky tower are games machines.

If you're arriving late like I did and you're hungry be prepared to go to one of the very few places where you can order basic food only. I didn't like that I was charged 10$ (450 P) to use the "business center" for an hour which consisted of a rented laptop, printing was 1$ each page which normally it's free especially at a nice hotel.I've paid maybe .15 cents at places before per page of printing but to charge $1 or (50 pesos) per page was simply ridiculously a rip off. Solaire should look into this and consider offering the business center as part of the guest stay like using the pool or any other amenity. I was disappointed, but I am traveling for business and needed a computer to handle an urgent issue. It was nice the casino offers a complimentary shuttle to mall of Asia every half hour for guests.

Review 68:Friendly very helpful staff and the quick check out and check in process was nice.

Review 69:There was construction ongoing near the spa area so guests inhaled toxic fumes coming in and out of the gym and the spa/locker areas. I wished they timed their construction work well and thought about the toxic smell it will cause to hotel guests. The steam room was not working.

Review 83:The staff were extrememly welcoming and helpful and friendly. I notified them in advance it was for a special occasion and they did so well. A surprise cake, the staff greeting us very well. We got a Bay view room in a top floor, so the view and rooms were so spacious and amazing.

Review 84:Check-in took 20 minutes, mostly standing in a very short queue. They were incredibly slow and then a bit frosty (but, the check-out lady was excellent). Then there was a very long walk to my room in the Sky Tower followed by major disappointment with the view. It was billed as looking over Manila Bay which is true if you stood right by the window and looked left but actually, the view was primarily of the tower next door (right into their rooms).

Review 85:The room was fantastic (view excepted) in terms of layout and fittings with a great bathroom. Very quiet, very comfortable. Also relatively (30 mins) close to the airport. The casino and lobby areas are spectacular.

The beautiful lady named elleiza at the Chk in counter is so nice and very very helpful!

Review 95:smoking,dirty chair and poor bed cover and mattress .i thought this amenities provide for gambler only. Taxi not provide to service, only use hotel taxi.

Review 101:We just found not enough staff on Reception insomuch as when we checked out we had to leave without settling our account , which was later deducted. When catching planes it is essential that there is enough staff to accommodate guests when they are in a hurry to leave. This is the only complaint that we had.

Will be trying a new place next time however
