Reviews for Treetops Seaview Montville
Review 1:People kept parking in our allocated space every time we went out.
Review 2:The view from our bedroom and spa was amazing. It was like you were hidden away from everything but the main street was a couple of minutes walk away.
Review 3:Not enough light in the kitchen area couldnt really see much making breakfast needs a light of some kind.
Review 4:Everything else was lovely clean, beautiful view, quiet and relaxing
Review 5:No oven :(, view wasn't as good as picture, floor boards need fixing, cups were dirty.
Review 6:Nice staff and location, rooms were also quiet nice. breakfast hamper was a nice touch.
Review 7:This is overpriced, the facilities are extremely outdated, and are certainly not luxury as stated, the bedding is tired and worn, as are the towels, kitchen etc. The spa bath we ran through twice with clean water, and even the 3rd time brown gunk and debris came out of the jets, it was Disgusting! and unuseable.
Review 8:The only positive was the view.
Review 9:Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.
Review 10:The privacy and peacefulness was brilliant. We felt like we were the only people there. The views, spectacular. The hosts, pleasant and welcoming. We will go back again and again.
Review 11:Like the majority of older accommodation we have stayed at the owners forget to spring clean or revamp to maintain that fresh look. Unfortunately the worn out timber flooring, dust under bed and the fridge door seal that was black from grime detracted from what otherwise was a great stay. Also even though there was logs outside there was no kindling etc supplied to start the fire so had to scavenge for our own as it was a wet miserable day.
Review 12:My wife and I liked the proximity to town, the peacefulness hidden amongst the trees surrounded by the sound of birds and the view overlooking the coast. The fire made the room cosy, especially sitting in the spa enjoying the magnificent view with a quite drink. The hamper basket supplied for breakfast was very thoughtful and a great way to start the day. Even laughed when a possum tried to open the screen door to join us for nibblies.
Review 13:The spa was a let down, when we filled the tub and switched on the jets. Little bits of sludge filled the water. We had to fill the tub 4 times before it was reasonably clean.
Review 14:The view from then room was superb!!
Review 15:Timber floors in need of refinishing. Water damage from spa and balcony door not a good look. Not for the elderly, entry to the shower over spa probably not possible if not reasonably fit.
Review 16:Location, location!
Review 17:brown gunk came out of the spa aerator when first turned on property dated due to poor general maintenance - needs minor repairs
Review 18:the view, the fireplace, staff
Review 19:Not being informed that it was a very steep climb up loose gravel and sleeper steps which if work place health and safety visited would be shut down. No hand rails steps to high and do not meet building standards. And to top it off on leaving the groundsman was urinating between our car and the other. These people want to remember most cars have onboard cameras that are motion started.
Review 20:Veiw
Review 21:The bed was as hard as the knobs of hell. The whole room swayed when the neighbour was having sex at midnight or whenever they walked around. The fixtures and fittings were showing their age.
Review 22:The location was very close to Montville township.
Review 23:We enjoyed the views and the privacy of the cabins as well as is it convenient location in Montville. Its close to all the shops and restaurants of Main Street. We had wonderful breakfasts on the balcony in the morning. The staff and locals where both friendly and helpful.
Review 24:A loose step leading onto the veranda to our cabin (which had no warning) was quiet dangerous. Especially if we were an elderly couple.
Review 25:I loved how quiet and isolated from the other cabins it was.
Review 26:It was everything we had wanted for a romantic weekend getaway.. Especially the lovely spa bath overlooking the valley and the double sided wood fire!
Review 27:Very steep driveway but to be expected when you're in the mountains although may be an issue for older people.
Review 28:Loved the cottage with the spa and fireplace. It had a great view and good TV and DVD player for bad weather days. Short walk to cafes and restaurants in Montville.
Review 29:The booking was made a few weeks prior but around one week before the cost came down around $56 for two nights and a day before it was around $ 86 less than what we paid. Doesn't make you feel good when the booking could have been made later for a lesser price and it certainly wasn't offered to us at a cheaper price
Review 30:Nice and Private. Well presented Breakfast Baskets and quality products
Review 31:We had to go home
Review 32:Fabulous place to getaway for a few days.Relaxation, shopping and great dining in the surrounding area. Will be back again when we need an escape away from it all.
Review 33:as above
Review 34:I loved the double dos bath with the big open window out onto the view..... But could be seen from another unit do we didn't use it.... I loved the log fire but the glue was blocked so we had to leave the door open blowing smoke into our unit
Review 35:Didn't like the position of the shower too hard to get out as it was positioned in the sunken spar.
Review 36:Fruit platter & breakfast were excellent. The view was wonderful
Review 37:The building would sometimes shake with the wind or movement from guests next door. A bit off putting when on such a steep hill.
Review 38:The room and facilities were perfect for a couples stay. We really enjoyed the privacy and the excellent view.
Review 39:After booking we read the reviews which weren't all that good so were prepared for disappointment but we loved it and the only fault was please replace the couch....it is literally falling apart.
Review 40:The view was fantastic even though it rained. Having a romantic spa bath with wine, a fire, and looking at the stars was amazing. We felt totally alone and blissfully relaxed. We will definitely be going back.
Review 41:Cabin was clean and tidy, but tired and in need of maintenance, definitely not what I call luxury. All kitchen items appeared clean, but had a greasy feel and required cleaning before they could be used.
Review 42:The view was spectacular. Plenty of hot water.
Review 43:Although the cabins were clean they have a worn appearance. In my opinion they are about due for minor renovation. Hated the steepness of the driveway, but we realise that it can't be helped because of the location on a hill.
Review 44:The location and the privacy. Both my wife and I loved the wood heater and spa, and the fact that firewood was provided right at the cabin. The supplied breakfasts were great, delivered daily too.
Review 45:Have stayed here before so we already knew how good it is here. Great view. Town is very nice. Local area is very picturesque. Nice walks, local pub food is great
Review 46:There's not many lights around the place, we needed a torch to go out to dinner and the breakfast basket is disappointing :(
Review 47:The room is perfect, loved every bit of it. Very easy check in and out. Brand new furniture in the room which was a big plus and the spa bath is amazing.
Review 48:needs some maintenance, wood floor needs resurfacing, bench space in kitchen too small, cover plate on outside meter box needs fixing, made lots of noise during night with windy conditions,
Review 49:wood fireplace, made it nice and cosy. close to town, great view.
Review 50:The bed was advertised as 'king sized' but was a queen bed.
Review 51:The view was INCREDIBLE to wake up to each morning, it was quiet, peaceful and absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We definitely plan on coming back! :)
Review 52:No microwave dishes to cook eg.scrambled eggs easliy. Not into frying everything. Few mushies may have been nice and some tomato sauce plz.
Review 53:Easy walk to shops and cafes. Very warm inside with fire going, lots of wood so never went out. We enjoyed the spa, brekky and fruit platter nice. Plunger coffee and fresh fruit juice yum too. Slept well enjoyed sunrise with mist/clouds sitting on tree tops. Mum and daughter loved time away from husbands, baby and busy lives.
Review 54:Very expensive for the quality of the room. Booked a luxury Seaview room and it was very tired and in need of a total refit as it is old looking and the floor had burn marks on it. Just needs a total overhaul if going to charge those prices and call it Luxury.
Review 55:Great view and would have been great when they were first built
Review 56:I didn't get the room shown on the photos on the site, when I've booked. Leaking toilet, Smelling air-con, Damage floor, NO Internet so close to the village, basic kitchen, dirty room with spider web everywhere .We were very disappointed, even if to compensate the management gave us a discount after complaining. Not Worth the money you pay.
Review 57:The location, very near the town centre, that allow a walking discovery of the village. The view from the balcony.
Review 58:We think the lighting could be much improved - especially over the cooking area.
Review 59:The view was amazing and really enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. I enjoyed the seclusion but think the 2 days we stayed was probably about right.
Review 60:Great location walking distance to the restaurants and shops, yet out of the way enough to feel comfortable and alone with your partner. Lovely gift basket of goodies upon arrival and bacon and eggs breakfast each morning. The Gypsies Table restaurant attached to the reception area is also a must if you enjoy exotic meals. Was great for us! Thank you to the kind and helpful staff.
Review 61:we stayed in number 7 and the slightest bit of breeze made the cabin sway which was a bit unerving. Thought it was an earthquake the first time it shook - until we worked out it was just the cabin swaying in the breeze.
Review 62:Loved that it was secluded and we didnt see anyone else for the 2 nights we were there. Very private
Review 63:The bed was most uncomfortable!
Review 64:Very private, with a great view to the ocean. Was very quiet yet still within walking distance to the center of Montville
Review 65:There was nothing bad at all. The only thing was getting filter ground coffee and only having a plunger!
Review 66:The cabin was neat, private and everything we wanted for a long needed getaway. The spa in front of the big window is wonderful. The wood fire heater is perfect. Even though it rained all 3 days we didn't feel closed in due to the spacious open plan layout. The location is close enough to Montville and the other little mountain villages and all the shops and restaurants.
Review 67:Kitchen needs update, spa dangerous, driveway slippery in wet, bed and pillows need replacing, TV needs replacing. For the money just wasn't worth it. Charge less or fix the place up!
Review 68:Proximity to town, views, breakfast and fruit basket were good.
Review 69:Only thing we would improve is the lighting over the kitchen area would be a good improvement.
Review 70:The view was excellent and so piece full and everything else was good.
Review 71:walkup and down the walk way felt insecure . Loud noise of the pump from the spa bath. Poor selection of dvd's
Review 72:Privacy & the view . peaceful
Review 73:Nothing major. To be picky no stove facilities. But since I called up prior to ask what they had, I took food accordingly and cooked all meals which was just as good. And maybe spa entry. It was fine for us but I can see how it would be difficult for ppl with injuries or mature age couples with physical ailments.
Review 74:Location was superb. Private, serene & homely. It was a surprise bday for my partner who totally loved the place and said I exceeded his expectations haha. Beats staying a resort with lots of people, noise, lifts, traffic etc. A great change considering we just spent 4 weeks travelling the USA. Lots to see and do. And locals very helpful! Breakfast hamper was brilliant as it was one less food bag to take.
Review 75:Overpriced Plastic Green chairs on verandah Dirty under bed and can be seen from spa Paint peeling from taps Had to wash all dishes before leaving No nice champagne and chocolates like other places of same price Very steep stairs to drag luggage up to room No gel/ spa lotion Dirty air conditioner
Review 76:Quiet Private Nice breakfast basket Nice view
Review 77:Had a bit of difficulty getting in touch with reception before arrival. However staff were quite lovely. Would have liked a fruit platter as promised as we unfortunately only received a small plate with a few slices of fruit With not much choice.
Review 78:Quite, simple and the perfect place for a nice getaway. We love Montville and enjoyed our time exploring the area. The views from the balcony were amazing. Waking up each morning with stunning views outside the windows and a lovely breakfast was simply divine. We will be returning again soon!
Review 79:Very steep entryway and no undercover parking. Definitely need joggers to walk anywhere
Review 80:Great view, very quiet and secluded bush location but still close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Nice breakfast supplied and fresh fruit platter on arrival
Review 81:Treetops Seaview Montville is absolutely perfect for couples. From the design/layout of the houses, to the emphasis of privacy from the staff. The breakfast baskets delivered each day were a lot more than I expected.
Review 82:It didn't trouble us but a word of caution for those less agile, depending which cabin you are allocated you might be faced with a step of steps cut into the hillside with gravel and logs to access your cabin. Perhaps stress this when you book.
Review 83:The peace and quiet, you couldn't see the next cabin, as beautiful trees cover the property. The views across the hinterland to the ocean were spectacular from our cabin. You could enjoy the views from all areas of the cabin. Spacious outdoor deck.
Review 84:All was good
Review 85:Great views, wonderful fresh breakfast supplied, friendly staff. Great setup in the cabin and the possums were extremely friendly. Pub and other restaurants in walking distance. We did get a great price on Booking.com
Review 86:Needs upgrading, run down in spa area, could also include some hand rails for getting in and out.
Review 87:The spa with a view was wonderful, very relaxing.. Loved the breakfast hamper.
Review 88:our television was not working. stayed for 2 nights, and couldn't watch TV. wasn't happy.
Review 89:loved the whole stay! the place was super romantic & in a great location.
Review 90:The bugs. Dead bugs in the spa and on the bed when we arrived. We got rid of them and more dead bugs were there in a few hours! The place was clean so must have been sprayed and the dead bugs kept showing up every few hours until we left. At least they didn't eat our breakfast hamper....
Review 91:Loved the spa, views were amazing, local shops were good, local restaurants were amazing, food and service was fantastic! Breakfast hamper was an awesome bonus.
Review 92:There was a musky smell when the room was locked up for a while, I discovered the smell comming from timber blinds??
Review 93:I loved the veiw, the bed was comfortable but whished I had brought my own pillow. I loved our fruit tray and basket of breakfast goodies.
Review 94:The indoor stairs: it's a bit dangerous having a gap between the end of it & the fireplace. Something like a lamp/flower pot or something to fill the gap is needed to prevent people from accidentally stepping on that gap thinking they're stairs there. The TV needs more channel too! Oh & bring your own DVDs cause they haven't got much selection.
Review 95:My husband & I loved fhe place! You get the best view from our cabin! You feel so peaceful there & if you want romance, this place is where you want to be!
Review 96:Very poor TV reception. The only channel you could get reliably was SBS and NITV and most of the time SBS was not in English. Would benefit in having basic Foxtel channels. Driveway too steep.
Review 97:Overall good accommodation and facilities. Proximity close to town a bonus.
Review 98:So comfortable and private. The spa is amazing - you can sit back surrounded by bubbles and a glass of wine and look right out to the sea - so romantic!
Review 99:All taps and the shower leaked badly. The curtains where broken the blinds didn't open or close. TV didn't work from day 1. Kitchen wasn't a full kitchen as described. The pot was broken and leaked, the forks where all bent. The toilet smelt of sewerage and the smell came into the room. The air conditioner leaked everywhere when it worked. The possums made their home in the floor at the bedhead and where extremely noisy every night. The bed was a queen not a king as booked.
Review 100:The view was magnificent.
Review 101:Kitchen facilities are just OK to use - we cooked those eggs etc and found it all a little busy
Review 102:Interesting little room; cosy; I'll come back in winter; complimentary breakfast good; spa bath good..
Review 103:None of our requests were met not even brochures on the table. Don't expect to be fed after 4pm on Mondays as nothing is open except for cafe. Not ideal for anniversary on Monday.
Review 104:The views were sensational. The town had lovely people.
Review 105:Lighting in the kitchen was not so good for preparing food in the evening.
Review 106:We loved the spa with the view, as well as the balcony. It was perfect to sit out there to eat our brekkie and to be amongst the trees :)
Review 107:There is hardly any tv reception. The screen flickers and pops so nights get a little long. When the place is full of occupants the hot water is more like warm water and you don't enjoy the spa as much and the grounds man starts to whipper snip and blow the grounds at 8 in the morning.
Review 108:The views were breathtaking. The cabin was like something out of a western movie. Lovely fire and big spa bath all with a stunning view and we got visited by possum and her baby each night
Review 109:When we turned the spa on it spat out flacky pieces of something. Also hair came out. I know it's hard to keep a spa clean but this was one of the main reasons we booked. Didn't use it once. Also tv reception at times didn't exist.
Review 110:The view was fantastic. The closeness to restaurants and the town centre was great.
Review 111:Nothing really.
Review 112:The fireplace was great - it created a wonderful ambience. The spa overlooking the whole coast was awesome. great outdoor area for breakie and drinks. nice and close to all Montville has to offer.
Review 113:Being and older couple we would have appreciated a short hand rail beside the stairs between the two levels. Just for confedence.
Review 114:The peace and quiet, and the fantastic view.
Review 115:I would suggest that if treetops seaview and treetops are different companies that they should not use the same photos on the different websites. It was very confusing when one website offers a cheaper price but uses the same photographs as the other venue.
Review 116:Beautiful cabins.
Review 117:The cottage although well appointed was very run down. Some maintenance would make it so much better! However, we wouldn't hesitate to stop here again due to the location.
Review 118:Beautiful location with a spectacular view. Loved that it was within walking distance to Montville town centre and close to bush walks.
Review 119:Neighbours overlook balcony. Neighbours getting it on cause our apartment to rock...I assume we had the reciprocal effect on them...not a deal breaker but... Bathrobes too small old and stiff. AV gear just old. Kitchen appliances old and breakfast fare average at best.
Review 120:Fabulous views, nice spa with views. Bed was fine. Close to local restaurants...walk everywhere. Nice garden area. We didn't need the fire but it looked good for the colder weather.
Review 121:just the bedroom floor needs an update.
Review 122:Cleanliness, layout, breaky basket sparkling wine, fruit platter, chocs. staff very helpful. loo and spa with a view.
Review 123:There needs to be a small cooker or BBQ to cook the breakfast on the deck, more dvd's as reception is poor
Review 124:We stayed for our honeymoon and loved the location, view and breakfast hamper. Great value for money!
Review 125:TV reception - bad, even the radio stations on the TV were static.
Review 126:The view, the open plan with fireplace and spa bath. The peace and serenity and privacy were fantastic.
Review 127:Accommodation becoming a bit dated and could do with a spruce up and modernising. Some maintenance required. The verandah would be great with a small BBQ and day bed / hammock.
Review 128:Easy stroll into Montville. Fantastic view from Kookaburra Cabin. Spa bath located perfectly to soak in the view. Comfortable lounge with great fireplace.
Review 129:The room was just what we needed nice and cosy loved the spa and hamper for the morning absolutely wonderful I would defiantly recommend to friends view was great nice amount of privacy.
Review 130:Having to wash up dishes. The cleaner came in to bring the breakfast hamper for the next day and that was all they did. No tidying up was done. The bed needed replacing and the unit felt "tired".
Review 131:The location was great . The breakfast hamper was good. The fire was lovely and the view from the spa bath was excellent. The bath robes were good.
Review 132:I didnt like the fact we both got in the spa and we heard creaks and cracks cause With our weight and the water we were worried as its a big drop lol So we got out hahaha! Other then that its a nice comfy set up and with breaky includes was great
Review 133:I like everything it is a very nice set up
Review 134:Television had no reception, paid top dollar but had basic kitchen facilities a glass coffee table we could not see and kept walking into and aging spa with some jets not working. Not sure if there was some sort of blockage in chimney but smoke escaped fireplace and remained inside the cabin.
Review 135:The view was spectacular and very peaceful. I would recommend the venue to friends/family, however would inform them of the things I didn't like to let them make their own mind up.
Review 136:No early checkin or late checkout, the place was starting show it's age a little bit, not as much privacy as I had hoped, could see cars driving past as you are having a shower!
Review 137:The comfortable bed, the view, the fireplace, the spa and food basket. Nice and quiet with reasonable privacy.
Review 138:The lighting on the path didn't work backing it very dark and unsafe at night. Several lights in facility weren't working
Review 139:The view, the ability to relax in a quiet location with great views
Review 140:Access to the unit was not well maintained - the steps were falling away & gravel on the steps would have made negotiation by an inattentive or older person risky. Floor of the unit was not clean, neither was the fireplace.
Review 141:Montville is a lovely town and the views from the unit were impressive. The bed was comfortable and having a fireplace was delightful.
Review 142:Wasn't private at all, spa wasn't clean and the bed was harder than the floor!
Review 143:The view and location is great.
