Reviews for Zenzez Hotel & Lounge
Review 1:Nothing!
Review 2:The building was incredible. Historic, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The room was wonderfully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also wonderful and probably one of the cleanest I've ever seen. Can't believe this isn't 5* accommodation, it might as well be! I also asked if I could check out later as I was celebrating New Years and they let me extend check out until 1PM, an extra 3 hours! Absolutely wonderful staff.
Review 3:The owner is so friendly and welcoming. He will make your stay perfect. The rooms are really nice, cozy and comfy! The breakfast is delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Review 4:None
Review 5:The friendliness of the staff, the care shown to us regarding the food, a willingness to do whatever it took to make us comfortable, which was very little due to the wonderful accommodations.
Review 6:Be wary of an over scented room. We arrived early enough that the staff aired the room out. If you are allergic or bothered by fragrances let the hotel know in advance.
Review 7:A good example of a boutique style hotel. Friendly staff and relatively convenient location vis a vis Oranje Park and the centre of town.
Review 8:Having to leave.
Review 9:Very friendly welcome to beautiful house.Lovely lounge and garden and fantastic cakes.Owner was very good at booking good restaurants. 9try Sizzles)
Review 10:We had a wonderful stay at Zenzez, it is a beautiful hotel and we received a warm and kind welcome from Paul and all the facilities and accommodation was excellent. The style and ambience of the hotel was top quality, we enjoyed a really comfortable stay in beautifully designed and apportioned bed rooms. The breakfast was also lovely.
Review 11:We expected a room for 4, instead we got 2 rooms, forcing our children to sleep in a separate room without a bathroom or television. We found an old sock under our bed. The shower kept filling up with water, forcing us to take very short showers while standing in a puddle of water.
Review 12:The design of the room was good
Review 13:nothing
Review 14:I stayed at Zenzez with my family during my trip to Apeldoorn in mid-July 2015. We all like this hotel. The manager Paul is a nice gentleman. He helped us a lot during our stay. The hotel is located in a quiet area. The environment is so good. We had a family room. Children liked the child room very much. We would like to recommend this hotel to anyone who want to visit Palace Het Loo or Kroller-Muller museum.
Review 15:Beautifully restored typical Dutch house, friendly accomodating staff, fantastic internal design. Walking distance to Apeldoorn centre. Nice breakfast.
Review 16:Incredible hosting. Biological wine. Local cheese, the best croissant outside of France, but even with all this, it was the kindness and attention of the staff, as exemplified by our host, Paul.
Review 17:No elevator! But they help us to take our luggage! And the water goes slowly at room 7 I think, afraid water will come out during shower!
Review 18:We love the style of the hotel, very elegant! Host was very nice, make you feel like home! Worth the money!
Review 19:Excellent location in a quiet residential area of the city. Great attention to detail from the bedding to the breakfast, and really nice owners and staff. Home baking, simple but tasteful décor, and genuine customer care.
Review 20:What a beautiful place to stay. Owners are very attentive and courteous and attention to detail is incredible. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful decoration throughout. Great value for money. Would definitely stay again and recommend whole heartedly.
Review 21:A very cosy decoration, excellent comfort and facilities. Staff is very welcoming. Location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the city center. We stayed in the large balcony bedroom and excellent ay to enjoy a sunny weekend in aperdoorn.

Review 36:Attention to detail, nice breakfast
Review 37:Very friendly staff Nice rooms Walking distance to the town Fresh and nice food Cozy lounge
Review 38:Attitude, size, nearby excellent restaurant, breakfast!
Review 39:Cosy, warm, clean and smells nice. Best croissant I've ever had.
Review 40:Rubbish box is only in a bathroom.
Review 41:Confortable room, friendly staff and most recommendables are bed & Croissant!
Review 42:Size of room is a bit small.
Review 43:Super furnishing, very cosy up to small details. Breakfast pleasant - everything fresh and not the usual buffet type.
Review 44:The building is old and need renovation. All walls and carpets have tobe changed. Bathrooms are new and clean but the smell is horrible.
Review 45:Hotel is good locaded and it has parking which is free of charge.Breakfast is ok.
Review 46:Rooms a little bit old and no desk available for study work in the evening. Breakfast limited. Rooms old. Some noise from people comming and going to other rooms.
Review 47:Location close to the business location I was visting. 200m to downtown Apeldoorn. Free wireless internet worked OK. Competitive price. Bathroom recently refurbished.
Review 48:I think the tv's need updating, a nice flat screen above the bed would have been comforting rather than the small one on the chair which was hard to watch.
Review 49:Friendly and helpful host who tried to help wherever possible. Excellent wi-fi, conveniently located within easy walking distance to town. Apeldoorn is a lovely place which I hope not too many more tourists hear about as I like to keep it as my little secret! Rooms are spacious and breakfast is fantastic!
Review 50:Nothing I could fault, maybe larger bath towels would be nice but only a personal preference, hotel standard size.
Review 51:Quaint hotel, close to town but quiet with spacious rooms & bathrooms in Art Deco design. Friendly & great location! Would highly recommend to anyone, have stayed here several times & always been pleasant stay which we look forward to.
Review 52:There wasn't anything we didn't like but tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would be useful.
Review 53:It was not too far away from the town centre, and there was a very good restaurant at the bottom of the street. There was off street parking, and it was a very friendly place.
Review 54:The medewerker was very friendly. Hotel was quiet and you have not been disturbed when you were in the room or during sleeping, to clean up the room etc. So it is a good place to sleep 8hours a day and relax. City centre about 5 minutes walking distance. Nothing negative to claim of.
Review 55:The locks on the doors use oldish keys which are weird to operate, not a big deal.
Review 56:It is a very quiet and cozy hotel on a residential street. Very calm there. Our rooms on the first floor were quite comfortable; we had two rooms (family of four) each with a door leading to an outside balcony. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The included breakfast (buffet) was delicious. All in all, given the price of each room, it was a very nice stay after a visit of Het Loo palace and Apenheul ape zoo (highly recommended for kids of all ages).
Review 57:No air conditioning, the weather was unseasonlly very hot.
Review 58:It was a quiet boutique hotel, more like a guest house. Music played over breakfast was a delight. The bathroom was good quality.
Review 59:Hotel Abbekerk is located in a lovely upscale part of Apeldoorn. We enjoyed walking in the residential neighborhood which borders the hotel and admiring the beautiful architecture of the well-kept homes and the gorgeous flowers. We were in Apeldoorn to visit Palais Het Loo, the Kroller-Muller Museum and the Open Air Museum in Arnhem. We were central to all those sites which was our intent. In addition, we were so grateful for the kindness of the hotel proprietor, John Jensen, who gave us directions, and went out of his way to advocate for us with a mix-up in train tickets to Bruges, our next stop. His good-nature, engaging personality and excellent English made us feel welcome and comfortable at the Hotel. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful....enough that we did not even stop for lunch. Another positve: it has a parking lot. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.
Review 60:Room was not correctly heated, sound isolation was not correct. It was like grand-mother's place: when you come late, you have to be very silent. For old people, this hotel is perfect. For younger people, I don't recommend it at all
Review 61:Noisy street B&B style rather than hotel
Review 62:Location Friendly
Review 63:About 20min walk from both the train station and the palace which is very nice located. The view in the neiborhood area is great!
Review 64:the steep stairs
Review 65:Very friendly service Wonderful old house
Review 66:The room was decorated in rather dark colours; lighter colours would give it a more homely atmosphere
Review 67:the location is great
Review 68:The facility in the room is a bit out-of-date.
Review 69:Friendly staff, quiet location and very personal and attentive service.
Review 70:- Noise of the street (bring your heard block)
Review 71:- The luxyrious shower- the cool vintage style - strong wifi signal
Review 72:No resturant.
Review 73:A hotel that looked nicely old fashioned but was very modern underneath.
Review 74:Very comfortable with generous rooms with original features of the well looked after period building. Car parking on site was very useful.
Review 75:The breakfast
Review 76:Nice little family run hotel with a very helpful & cheerful owner.
Review 77:it was very rlaxing
Review 78:breakfast mundane and rooms lacked a woman's touch I.E. no facial tissues
Review 79:nice quiet location and large rooms
