Reviews for Fletcher Hotel Apeldoorn
Review 1:Pity, a wonderfull room, but small TV, same size as Laptop. If this could be changed i will give more stars
Review 2:Location Price/Quality Personal was very helpfull , Room 108 was nice, possible room was renovated. Breakfast was good, free parking ! , free WiFi !
Review 3:Had actually been here before and didn't realise until I arrived. And I was delighted to be back. Bar, restaurant and room all very pleasant. It was also cheap, so very good value for money. Nothing negative whatsoever here! Stay here! :)
Review 4:The room was very small without any comfort; still I booked a double room comfort; no comfortable chair, no bedlamps, yust a tiny table to work on.Noise from a ventilation or something outside.
Review 5:The road with hard traffic (Ring) is under the window. The kitchen is closed from 9 p.m. (too early...). The breakfast is really good but it's exactly the same every day - not a plus for a long stay.
Review 6:Nice location, good bed, good shower, spacious room (twin), good breakfast, very clean. Rent a bike service is in the hotel. Palace Het Loo is within 5 minutes walk and it's definitely worth to vizit.
Review 7:Lousy Bedroom. Although it was a Booking deal it is a shame that they offer such a bedroom like that. Tiny, not very clean, old. Although the hotel seems noce, I had a bad experience and will not stay there anymore
Review 8:Great Breakfast
Review 9:One of the staff was very cross and remonstrated with us because we arrived a few minutes late for breakfast on the first morning, even though we had arrived exhausted and frazzled the evening before after a fraught day on the Autobahn in Germany with a horrific accident holding traffic up for hours in the hot sun, though the Dutch motorway was uneventful. She must have got up on the wrong side of the bed because I saw her aim a foot at the door a few minutes later as we were at the buffet & she passed through to the kitchen with crockery and cutlery in her hands. Also, it was very hot and there were a few flies buzzing about and settling on the food. Our bathroom was a bit tired.
Review 10:A charming hotel situated in an absolutely wonderful neighbourhood. Staff very attentive and all English speaking though we speak a dialect of Dutch. {bar one young blonde lady] We parked our Citroen 2cv right in front in the disabled bay and actually booked an extra night as we liked it so much.
Review 11:Staff seemed slightly put out when it came to serving. The price advertised in the room for breakfast was for a 3* hotel so when it came to paying it was quite a bit more. The tv remote only worked if used directly in front of it. Although was nice wouldn't give such a high * rating.
Review 12:The room was very nice, with a very large bathroom. The coffee was with Nescafe caplets which was nice. The WiFi was free throughout the hotel. There was storage available for you luggage if early.
Review 13:Room facility is quite poor..No glasses ..no small ref.... And i requested king size bed..but surprising i got two singel beds..
Review 14:Kind and helpful staff..The Jacuzzi was great and private. .love it
Review 15:Absence of kettle in room - only coffee machine. If I could suggest one improvement it would be to add a kettle - or have one in store on request. The use of the tea machine is self service during the morning (breakfast) only and so our use of it was exceptional, and once the lady who had agreed we could use hot water only (we had brought our own tea) was off her shift, we had to keep explaining the situation.
Review 16:Staff were exceptionally accommodating - f.e. we had requested ground floor accommodation in advance and this was arranged. They'll go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Location is perfect - 10-15 mins to town and major attractions and right on the edge of forest.
Review 17:Warm room, on side of the road that has traffic all night. So opening a window means you're almost with your head on the road..
Review 18:Perfect location. Value for money.
Review 19:We had a small room and although the window opened, it was very stuffy and airless.
Review 20:Friendly reception. Great breakfast. Located in nice green area, park nearby.
Review 21:It was hot, so we needed the windows open for air. One room was on the street and of course was loud with street noise. The room that was on the courtyard was wonderful. Only wifi for one device per room.
Review 22:Kind and helpful front desk staff. Clean rooms.
Review 23:We had problems with the coffee machine as there was no instructions. Dirty cardboard cups and coffee pods were not replaced. Towels were not replaced on our 2nd day even though we left them on the floor. When we asked where we could catch the number 2 bus from we were told "I don't know" We were then given a map with Ape hill marked on it and basically told to find our own way. We ended up going in the wrong direction and the 15 minute walk took us over an hour.
Review 24:The location was great. 15min walk to Ape Hill (if you know the way) and 5 min to bus stop into town. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the young man on the desk on the Saturday evening.
Review 25:Wifi restrictions. Staff seemed stressed when the boss was there - they were more interactive and cheerful when the boss was not there.
Review 26:Not expensive, quiet area, bicycle hire available, friendly helpful staff.
Review 27:Room is pretty basic, more like 3 star. No watercooker, no hairdryer. Very small bed. Breakfast is very basic. Scrambled eggs looked very solid, did not try.
Review 28:The location is nice, just at the border of Apeldoorn, 20 minute walk to the centre. The restaurant is spacious. Nespresso machine in the room
Review 29:WIFI should be free; what was available was too slow. The room was too hot and it was not possible to alter temperature. Pillow too hard (for me anyway). Noise from refrigeration cycle. (Room 108). There should be tissues, shampoo, conditioner, etc in the bathroom. Water delivery in the sink too slow.
Review 30:Reception service
Review 31:If you like to be near the city centre, not your place. Free Wifi available only on the ground floor. Need to have a car to arrive in the city centre
Review 32:Very quiet. Located in a nice residential area. Easy parking. Proximity of the Kröller-Möller Museum and of Apenheul.
Review 33:The first floor room was very small and needed updating. You have to pay for the Wifi and to make it worst, you could only connect to one device!
Review 34:We decided to stay a second night and we were upgraded to a much nicer room on the second floor. Nice breakfast spread.
Review 35:If you advertise yourself as a B&B and there is no breakfast included, than don't advertise it. A rating of 7.2 is way too high in my opinion. It was an average quality level in my mind.
Review 36:I only slept in the hotel.
Review 37:Hotel is very simple. No frills. Wifi is not free and bad signal quality. Hotel did not acknowledge nor fulfill the special wishes made at time of reservation.
Review 38:Easy check in.
Review 39:My boyfriend was abused by a female staff member for using a Lipton glass mug for coffee And she said they were for tea only and pointed to the coffee cups She was very hostile and unfriendly
Review 40:There is only free wifi in the bar. Wifi in the rooms costs € 6,50 per day. Personel said they are, unfortunatley stuck with an old contract of the previous owner and this will change eventually. To my opinion no reason to not equip the hotel now with some additional accesspoints on each floor.
Review 41:Wellness facilities (open upto 23:00h), good and cozy hotel bar with complementary home made crisps and snacks, friendly personel.
Review 42:I disliked the high cost of a very average looking continental breakfast, which I did not partake of. We did not patronise the restaurant because it seemed too quiet and costly.
Review 43:I liked the location in that it was within walking distance of the town centre (30 minutes) and there is a local bus service too. The hotel is clean and the staff attentive.
Review 44:No comments.
Review 45:The location is just OK Parking places in front of the hotel are "short" if you got a longer car, as was the case with mine rented one, so you have to move your luggage and walk on the street.
Review 46:No wifi in rooms unless paid for as an extra. Breakfast was a bit on the expensive side.
Review 47:Clean and comfortable. Good size room with bath. Good choice at breakfast. Friendly staff.
Review 48:Could not switch off wifi in room..could do 1 week earlier as hampdhire. had to pay on arrival tv wasnt working on arrival but not informed by desk. room not as good as week before.
Review 49:The differences between when it was Hampshire and now Fletcher. Hampshire staff and facilities far far better, or at least that was my experience. What could go wrong did go wrong.
Review 50:got overcharged for dinner, they charged a bottle of wine which I didn't use/drink. advertised as 4 star on booking.com but fletcher hotels itself says it's a 3 star property ? dirty linen/bed, small room, no airconditioning, poor procedures ( fletcher only recently bought the property, before it was a hampshire hotel ) staff didn't know all the procedures yet.
Review 51:staff
Review 52:No drawers to put clothes in. Wifi only in reception area. TV could not get anything that didn't say you had to pay, location out of town.
Review 53:Staff very good and helpful but as it was out of town nice and quiet at night. Also a fan in the room as it was very warm when we were there.
Review 54:Total rip off for single traveller. I paid 60 euros per night for a hot, pokey room (think it must be a budget room charged at single room rate), whereas my friends paid 70 euroes for a luxury double room with air conditioning. I could understand if I was in a double room on my own but not the room I got given! Also payment was taken for both rooms from my credit card before we went to check out. I had euros to pay the bill with!! I stay in Apeldoorn at least once a year visiting an elderly relative but won't be staying at the Hampshire again despite it being the most conveniently situated for my needs.
Review 55:Not much to dislike
Review 56:Very friendly welcome, plenty of information. Excellent dinner and breakfast. A good stopover for onward travel to Germany. Handy for the palais Het Loo
Review 57:We were very disappointed with our room. Considering we had booked some time in advance, we were told this was the only double available. It was small, was in the roof and had a single velux window. Overall it felt like a servants garret. It was poorly furnished and decorated. The small wardrobe had no draws and possessed only 4 hangers. The bathroom was down some awkward stars with no hand rail. Several electrical items did not work or were faulty.
Review 58:Staff were friendly, helpful and informative regarding the local town and Het Loo. Our evening meal (the day we arrived) was very good.
Review 59:Very warm room, fungus in bathroom, no toothpaste.
Review 60:Location, environment.
Review 61:nice, calm place, personell very helpful even after midnight arriving
Review 62:Spider Nets everywhere!! i have not seen any Hotel room such dirty!!!

Review 97:Old mattress, bit sinking in, quite a bit of noise, probably from kitchen refrigarators. No soap in the bathroom.
Review 98:Pillows Duvet Mattress Lack of tea/coffee facilities in room
Review 99:Breakfast Staff Bathroom Communal areas Bar Parking Location
Review 100:Limited Menu

Review 106:The cost was expensive for the type of hotel.
Review 107:The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly
Review 108:Breakfast too expensive at 15 Euro per day
Review 109:Clean, efficient service. Good facilities
Review 110:Had to pay for wifi and tv use
Review 111:Quietness and an Excellent location
Review 112:Lift to 1st floor helped with luggage moving, as I was on a motor /cycle. Friendly , English speaking staff, in all areas and a restaurant with a tasty variety of food, helped by a cheerful waiter and waitress
Review 113:The staff were amazing! The restaurant was amazing! The Wellness center is amazing (you can book it out by yourself for an hour). I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.
Review 114:WIFi was not very good which you also have to pay for. You also have to pay for television chanels (English).
Review 115:The area of the hotel was fantastic, easy to get to town centre
Review 116:breakfast was awkwardly split up with coffee in one place/room, buffet in another and you eat in a third room. the choice of the buffet could also have been better
Review 117:wonderful staff
Review 118:I make this mistake EVERY TIME: When Booking.com promises a "Large double bed" this can mean anything. Our bed (room 138) was 140 cm across. This is not ever "large". NB this is not a complaint about the hotel, but about the Booking, com site.
Review 119:Room was comfortable, no noise from outside, beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff, good breakfast.
Review 120:Single room was a little on the small side. Room was very warm at night, with no air-conditioning. Noisy with the window opening onto the main road.
Review 121:Restaurant was very nice. Evening cuisine was excellent as well as the breakfast
Review 122:Located a bit 'far' from central station, but an easy walk from nearest bus stop. Exceeded my needs, as to amenities, but I did get a good price for the room.
Review 123:wifi very costly, its free in ibis budget hotels! No aircon in my single room and next to road so didn`t open the window. Walls thin so heard next door talking all evening.
Review 124:Great breakfast and bar food. Staff remembered me from a previous visit.
