Review 1：The hotel is quite rundown - stuffy carpet, old furnitures and low quality of bathroom amenities which i faced the spoilt shower twice. There was a leakage also in the bathroom where the water dripped through the light. I have complained as i'm worry about the safety from possibility of fire if the power tripped but they told me not to worry as the water was from the air-conditioner. I felt quite ashamed (on the overall quality of the hotel) with the friends from Singapore who have been invited by us to join our northern gateaways.

Review 8：The standard rooms we were given were in poor condition. Had unpleasant smell, stains on carpet, wardrobe cabinet doors that doesn't shut properly,stains on toilet bowl, sink and tiles.

Review 16：This hotel needs some refurbishment. Many things don't really work. The safe in the room was not working, we need to flush twice to get the bowl clean, there is no lamp on the desk, no international socket plug. The aircon either too cold or too warm. The restaurant staff not attentive, and we were disappointed by the mango prawn salad without the mango.

After smoke he jus passed by me and went up without helping me. When i ask to change da room they reject me said will send up a cleaner.but i waited for 15 mins i din see any one coming. 4) old facilities and the shower tap broken. Again my hubby called down to ask to fix it. Then we waiting again.no 1 coming up. I was rushing to a wedding. 5) lastly i cannt stand it cos i was rushing to a wedding dinner .immediately call down to make noise said i gotta change a room. Finally they agreed. And send up the key immediately. But the staff (indian fat man bell boy) just pass the key to me. Without saying anything without showing us where to go n went down. I n hubby was stood there n shocked. Wondering what kind of terrible service of this hotel 6)car park underground very dark n scary n no lift to come up to lobby. 7) feel not comfortable n seems haunted 8) poor facilities. Old room.neeed alot of upgrade and maintenance.will not come back again. The most worst hotel i even stay! Not worth for 4 star rating.

The omelette was not there every time we were there for breakfast during our stay. Breakfast spreads are limited to local, nothing much. Overall the hotel is old and needs room for improvement.

Food:- 4) food during breakfast limited, not many choices Value of money:- 5) I do get cheaper rate RM480 for 3d2n, BUT the hotel CUT almost facilities, such as:- a) slipper, b) laundy bag, c) toilet kits except shower/shampoo/soap/shower cap, d) morning news paper. Internet/free wife 6) They offer me for high speed internet for only 2 username but unfortunately I cannot log in both username given. Cannot log in the wifi from day 1 until check out day. Totally different with flamingo by the beach hotel provides me, during last visit in June 2015. FYI, flamingo by the beach is located next to copthrone hotel.

Review 50：Very old furnished hotel with old bathroom , every thing looked squeezed till the last drop. Every thing is functioning well, but compared to the value of money you expect much better than this. They announce that the are making renovation but we didn't saw this during our stay. The old furniture give you a sensation of poor cleanness although the housekeeping is doing their best to keep it clean.

Requested for room clean up as early as 8am, when we returned at 2pm, room still not made up. But the housekeepers did come after that but we were tired already we couldnt spare some time for them to make up the room. The aircond in room not cold enough even when we set it to high, the temperature still felt the same. Ironing facilities was at another floor. Lobby to car park needed a bit of walking and climbing stairs. The room was old, the bedside lamp was broken. We wont be returning

Review 85：room blackout during 12 midnight. at first no one answer the call for a couple of minutes. then, we manage to reach someone.. and 5 minutes later the technician arrived. thanks to the technician in charge for the promptness!!

Review 86：The pillows given was so smelly, got yellowish stains. after we complaint, they changed it immediately for us. Toilet is somehow not comfortable, a little bit dirty especially in the bath tub and the water mode was hard to control its either too hot or too cold.

Hotel should give more discount for such kind of room, and categorized the room as "partial sea view" to avoid dissatisfaction. Check in time was strictly 2pm. I wished the hotel is more accommodating like what most hotel practiced. In fact, at 2pm, most guests still have to wait in queue. They don't get to enter the room till later time. The reception gave the reason that the room is still not cleaned, but when I went up to the floor at 2pm, there was no cleaner to be seen.

Review 107：I feel the hotel was a bit rundown, in the room both bed lamp where lose not in place and the room was dusty. The wash room was not so clean the side edge of the bath tub have stain. The FO staff have a fake smile on her face. My observation before my turn there was a call ( the guest asking for internet username) she mentioned " When you check in that time the FO staff never provide you the username and password?" Then i did my check in process after we got the room key, she just left us and talking to her colleague,then i called her and ask for the wifi username and password. The service was not close to 4 star.

Review 108：I liked the location of the hotel its very near to restaurant and easy access to visit other places. The housekeeping staff was fast in delivering our tooth brush and paste.

Review 113：Room had partial seaview. When I booked, I expected a full seaview. My wife hails from Kota Kinabalu, a city with a long seafront. She was somewhat disappointed with it. Ironing facility located at a different floor - an inconvenience to a mother with a still-breastfeeding child. Rules on attire should be relaxed for Muslim men who observe the teaching of Islam regarding wearing shorts in public, which is a no-no. Water pressure could be improved. Took a while to fill the bathtub.

Review 114：I've come here for four times already. The room comfort is maintained. Congratulations. Also the food. No complaints. The porter, Mr Jeevan, is most helpful. His loyalty should be rewarded amply.

Review 115：The staff seems stress... Not in a friendly mood rather quick-and-go kinda attitude. By 8.30 am, most of the food are finish at the buffet, very slow to top up and the staff that cooks the omelette is slow as well.

After that, no one came to take our orders. So we left without ordering anything. The rooms are not properly cleaned. The bathrooms were dirty and the shower curtains smells. The room and bed covers smells. The carpets were not vacuumed and it has hairs and dirt on them. The floorboards were dusty.

Review 119：Room cleanses, they provide the new towel and when i want to use it i saw many long hair all over the towel. Imagine you just enter the room and when you walk on the room floor u can see hair going between the toes and that was really disgusting. meanin they have not clean the room properly. Their balcony built in a manner that you do not feel you have privacy.

Those who have given this hotel a poor review need a reality check - it's an older hotel on this stretch of coast, however if you can't put up with the odd cracked tile in the bathroom or a suite of rooms that isn't decorated in this year's colours, then stop whining and stay somewhere else for triple the price. There have even been criticisms of staff courtesy. Nonsense - they were all fantastic. Some guests should remember that courtesy works both ways.
