Reviews for Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa Dine Out
Review 1:Timeshare sales.
Review 2:The staff went above and beyond my expectations. From bellboys and front desk on arrival, to bar and restaurant staff, housekeeping. If I ask for something it way always taken care of. Great job everyone.
Review 3:The "vacation package" (timeshare) pitch was very pushy whichalone would have been tolerable. However it became borderline creepywhen a male salesperson came out, the way he seemed to down talk thefemale salesperson was very insulting and degrading.
Review 4:Location was within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars, beach, etc. good value of lodging, food, and drinks with all inclusive package.
Review 5:Our only bad experience is that Booking.com had too many people booked in each room and didn't square it away with the front desk, so that was a huge hassle.
Review 6:What's not to love?
Review 7:I didn't like that they have an all inclusive dinner menu for the guest and a reg menu for others at baja lobster.. I went to dinner there 5x . On our all inclusive menu it had lobster tail as an option. But for some reason they were always out of the lobster "we didn't get any lobsters today". But you see other guest eating and ordering lobster. They even had lobster displayed out. Just say you didn't want to give us the lobster even though it was included on tmour menu. I have never wrote a review ever. But I went there for my 30th birthday and my friend went there for their honeymoon. They had the same problem. So easy for you to take our money but won't provide with your services. I go on vacation every three months, I live in New York meaning I go to nice restaurants and I have never complained. Would I recommend this place to a friend or client ... Noo just because of that. Don't make your employee lie about an item on the menu.
Review 8:Fermin, Felix , abad, Carlos from the palapa were great !!! Carlos the concierge and Pedro the bell boy as well.
Review 9:All inclusive was fantastic. Food was very good and the drinks were top shelf. The staff was very attentive and always friendly. The hotel was clean and the room was nice. The value for what we paid was excellent. The Lobster restaurant had real lobster tails. I crushed those every night. If I go to Cabo again, I'll be staying here.
Review 10:WHEN CHECKING IN I WAS TOLD I HAD 2 ROOMS RESERVED! I THINK THIS WAS BOOKINGS FAULT. GYM AREA FOR WORKING OUT WAS TERRIBLE! POOLSIDE MARGARITAS WERE TERRIBLE! FREE WIFI ONLY IN LOBBY!
Review 11:GREAT POOL AREA, ROOM WAS SPACIOUS, FOOD WAS GOOD-ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST!
Review 12:When you went to order your food at the restaurants they were out of what they specialised in. Eg. out of lobster at the lobster restaurant
Review 13:The location and our room
Review 14:Need to have WiFi all around the facility, it is already paid for so should be included in the fee for the resort stay.
Review 15:Love the closeness to the down town area, all inclusive should mean ALL, had to pay for meals at the included eating places in the Gold zone area.
Review 16:Timeshare older couples complained about younger people being there for Spring Break so management didn't allow the well behaved college kids access to one of the swimming pools even with their parents. Ridiculous! We were paying for 9 rooms in our group and the timeshare folks were paying for one room.
Review 17:Location was excellent!
Review 18:In the survey, I was asked about the FREE WiFi, none was provided, although $50/ week is not bad...and not a negative per-say. The only short coming is the Fiesta is a decent hike to the beach, in any direction: no direct route. Other wise the location is a gracious attended gaited, stair case from the Marina, the heart of Cabo. The Fiesta is walking distance from A Triple D, Guy Fieri show case restaurant, to the mom and pop, curb side eateries...ALL good! Sorry this was supposed to be the bad response!
Review 19:The staff is great. Been to a few spots of interest. The staff is unparalleled. The Fiesta was rated as all inclusive, the employees, top to bottom make it so.
Review 20:We didn't get the room we paid for because they gave other guests free upgrades. I booked through booking.com and they state that you WILL be charged 2 nights in full on your card at time of booking, but only charged 1 night. We had to come up with an extra $270 that we didn't plan on when we checked in. I highly suggest you print out your bank statement that shows what you paid so you have it handy at check in. Our mini bar was rarely stocked fully and sometimes no coffee or creamer was left at all.
Review 21:The staff was excellent, especially, the poolside chef and all the waiters. We really like Joaquine (spelling?). The concierge, Reynolds, was also very helpful. The check in staff were not very friendly. I was there for my 50th birthday and requested a king room with a soaking tub, but there were none left. When another guest came up complaining about their room, she was told others were given the free upgrades. In my opinion, no free upgrades should be given until all people get the rooms they paid for.
Review 22:That my holiday ended so soon ! I met many reaallly nice people from Kansas, Seattle, Texas who invited me to tag along with them...you guys were lovely! You must go to Medano beach! So much fun:) Don't believe the travel blogs about the locals selling their wares along the beach - they were all very pleasant to barter with.
Review 23:I appreciated how much the friendly staff at this Spa went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. You must get to the SPA ! The massage was sooo glorious... To REYNOLDS: A thousand Thank yous ! You are the premiere concierge ! Thanks to you and that lovely man who raced my forgotten bag to the airport just as my plane was getting ready to soar. It is one of my greatest regrets - that I did not pay the driver more than he asked for :( I promise to pay it forward...
Review 24:No wi-fi, except in the very large lobby area.
Review 25:The staff was excellent. Smiles and helpfulness were standard. They really seemed to enjoy their jobs and made you feel very welcome. The food was great and all the restaurants. Breakfast poolside was fabulous. It's not a giant resort so everything was close. The Marina and downtown Cabo is out the front steps of the pool area.
Review 26:My money back
Review 27:Quoted one price with 'bookiings' Charged much more! Charged for 4 rooms $$3,200 Quoted $2,600 Double charged at restaurant!
Review 28:All-inclusive restaurants are so-so and service is inconsistent at best.
Review 29:Great spot if you like being close to the marina and the shops. Plenty of dining options nearby.
Review 30:All-inclusive food sucked! Continuous 1980's music videos at pool bar - no NFL playoffs?! Free internet was intermittent. Had friends from another hotel with me and the night staff wouldn't allow them in with me to use restroom or get the rest of their group.
Review 31:Room and property are nice. Pool bar staff was nice. Drinks were good.
Review 32:The constant peddlers were a nuisance and the food for lunch and dinner at the only four choices of restaurants was not very good. The cab fare to and from the airport is not part of the package, and this cost an extra $150.00 plus tip round trip. The prices for excursions were also very high at the resort, so one must shop around since everyone gives a different price. We found everything more expensive than in the Washinton, DC area.
Review 33:the location, the friendly people and staff.
Review 34:Had a great stay. We were in the delux suite with an amazing view of the marina. The food was okay. My recommendation would be to take advantage of the free drinks at all of the all inclusive restaurants.
Review 35:Some rooms are a bit tired and need updating. A couple of the all-inclusive restaurants had poor service.
Review 36:Nice pool area and view of Cabo Marina, great if you want to be near the action,(shopping, marina restaurants and Cabo nightlife...good security at Resort.
Review 37:Terrible wi-fi! Billing not clear. Tried to charge us items that were pre-paid
Review 38:Jack the waiter is excellent! All the wait staff at the buffet and pool bar are great!
Review 39:Our room needed updating, Felt a little tired. Next time I will ask for an updated room
Review 40:Excellent location to Marina, water activities, Restaurants and night life. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, Several remember your name which is impressive!
Review 41:The breakfast was average. Breakfast staff demanding tips everyday was off putting
Review 42:Zoar the concierge was extremely helpful. Great location and pool.
Review 43:Pancakes & french toast were cold everyday.
Review 44:Very nice location.
Review 45:Security staff was pretty rude, if you want to bring in a guest (although I have a room for 2)
Review 46:Location
Review 47:The constant pressure sale tactics
Review 48:Location to activities
Review 49:It was a great value for the money but the service at the other dinning facilities were lacking on attentiveness and definitely enthusiasm.
Review 50:No free wifi. Only available in the lobby which was outside and it was hot
Review 51:The all inclusive option is wonderful
Review 52:Too many employees of the hotel that there job was to get you to buy into a time share with them Very aggressive and sometimes rude
Review 53:location
Review 54:Poor television and wi fi reception, very erratic
Review 55:Pool area Food was awful Very slow WiFi and only in lobby
Review 56:Sunshine
Review 57:The time share people were a pain in the neck!
Review 58:The location was excellent and I liked the decor of the room, and nice and clean!
Review 59:The only free wifi was in the lobby. You had to pay extra if you wanted wifi in your room or pool area.
Review 60:Only get free wifi in lobby area. Would be better if you got it in your room and pool.
Review 61:Great location and nice pool.
Review 62:Food and price
Review 63:The property was nice and well kept. The beds were very comfortable.
Review 64:weak hot water in afternoon
Review 65:Internet connection was very poor, both the paid and the free connection
Review 66:Great staff, great room and food.
Review 67:They were a little light on bars
Review 68:wonderful location
Review 69:Excellent location, very close to the city so you have lots to do. All staff are incredibly accommodating. All-inclusive has good choice of restaurants. Pedro, you were awesome!
Review 70:Everything was excellent. From check-in until check-out they all take very good care of you. The food was very good, the pool is perfect. It was my first stay at Marina Fiesta but I will definitely stay there again.
Review 71:My room was on the 4th floor and up some steep stairs. I didn't realize I would have to go upstairs, so I rolled my suitcase myself to the room. It was unbelievably difficult to pull it up the steps.
Review 72:The location at the marina and just outside to good restaurants.
Review 73:would have liked more traditional Mexican food. I didn't go to Cabo to eat spaghetti, burgers and sushi. There wasn't 1 single lobster dish offered at Lobster cafe. No chili relleno, tamales, tortilla soup, bunellos ?!? pools and bar closed at 8PM...no exceptions.
Review 74:location was excellent. breakfast buffet excellent every day.
Review 75:All inclusive did not include the only true Mexican restaurant on theproperty. The included La Cantina only had two entrees on the menu butmostly snacks. Enchiladas with spinach or chimichanga with spinach. That's it for the "included" Mexican fare at a Mexicanresort's restaurant. Others included were Italian, Japanese,Bajalobster fine dining with no lobster except for lobster lasagna, andCaptain Jack's steaks and traditional American food. Although partof all inclusive, surf and turf items on menu was not included. One itemon Italian menu also not included. Fast meals at poolside buffet for allthree meals. Most meal service was good, but had several instances ofslow service, very long waits for food, even got some cold food. Waiterat La Cantina brought wife the wrong order but didn't take it backand did not apologize. Also hate to differ with James' review, butour room floor was not clean the whole week. Although paying $1,600, wewere put in the older back building with no view of Marina or ocean, just houses and unfinished construction site. Noted several times tofront desk that ceiling fan over beds did not work right. They cameseveral times but did not fix it (wall rheostat was bad). 3 times themaids did not come when we had the "Maid Service" sign in ourdoor lock ( I made sure it was not the "Privacy Please" one).At check-in and three times during the week, they called to try and getme to come take my Welcome package from Hacienda Encantada (new resortthat mf owner also owns). They said I was an owner and tried to give mea card to use he facilities. Told them I am not an owner, I paid to rentthe room. Still called 3 more times to try to get me to timesharepresentations. Got charged an additional $75 usd at checkout that Inever quite understood. All taxes and service charges were included inthe payment at check-in per the Booking.com confirmation.
Review 76:Location in Cabo is right in center of activity. However, Cabo'stourist area only extends a few blocks off of the Marina so most resortsaround the Marina are good locations too.
Review 77:toilet runs when you want to conserve water. Bed has plastic or something over it that makes it hot Have to wear a wrist band in order to eat and drink
Review 78:Loved the location - love the closeness to shopping. Loved an all inclusive that had more then one restaurant to chose from. Found the one that fit us and that we would have gone back to - thats the lobster place where they had a lovely green salad and exceptional service!
Review 79:Can't think of anything I didn't like
Review 80:It was super clean, and the location by the Harbor was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful property and the rooms were well appointed.
Review 81:I didn't like the Time share push, and for some reason we never had any body lotion in our room after the first day.
Review 82:The all-inclusive food was great and the staff friendly friendly and helpful.
Review 83:6' deep pool. All the people on the docks trying to pull you every which way to buy cigars, trinkets, time shares, boat rides, cheap jewelry, etc...
Review 84:All inclusive. Variety of foods and restaurants.
Review 85:Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced. Not a singlebartender or server wanted anything to do with helping guests. Terribleterrible service trust me.
Review 86:Room and view were great
Review 87:The food in the all inclusive package really was not good at all. Jack's was HORRIBLE, the Tequila Meuseum and Pesto's were just okay -- not great. At the fancier "Baja Lobster Co." my medium-rare steak was well done and my husband's salmon was raw. By the time we left -- I was so tired of LaPalapa's limited selection. The alcohol included really wasn't the greatest either. It's funny, but when we left my husband couldn't wait to have a Bud Light... if he doesn't see another Tecate for awhile, he'll be happy. It is also unfair that people get up and put their towels on chairs and then don't lay out for HOURS. It should be first come-first serve basis only. Also, do not waste your money on a massage. I paid $100 for a "deep tissue massage" and it was basically a woman rubbing oil on me for 50 minutes. She spoke no English so could not understand when I tried to ask her to work on sore areas. The walls are also paper thin. We had young girls in the next room and they woke us up swearing and banging every night between 2-4:00 AM.
Review 88:The location was perfect -- really, the best aspect about the Marina Fiesta. We were in an updated room and it served our purposes just fine. The pool is great.
Review 89:We kept finding mosquitoes in our room which quite annoying. Since wewere there on off season the main bar closed at 6 which we thought wastoo early and the lobby bar closed at 10.
Review 90:The staff was very helpful and friendly. The walk to the beach was veryshort as well as to the downtown bar area.
Review 91:The spa services were mediocre. My friend and I got pedicures andmanicures but the nail polish used was either old or of really badquality. The polish didn't completely dry even after hours hadpassed so inevitably the nails were ruined within the next day; the toenails almost immediately....I Would not get that service there again, especially not for $55 and the bad quality of the product. The room was nice but housekeeping did a poor job cleaning. The bathroom floor, especially in the toilet area, was muddy when we arrived and even after the cleaning was done, on three separate occassions, the muddy marks remained. It was quite astonishing actually.
Review 92:The location was great and the staff were friendly.
Review 93:You weren't able to have guests and that was very inconvenient.
Review 94:It was close to everything.
Review 95:Took a while to get service at pool.
Review 96:The bed was so comfortable; easy access to shopping, beach and clubs.
Review 97:Nothing
Review 98:Several different restaurants to choose from. Pool bar great! Short walk to swimming beach. Marina at Cabo San Lucas lovely.
Review 99:Concrete around pool. HOT on feet make sure you have sandals.
Review 100:EVERYTHING
Review 101:Center of Cabos. Close to everything. Marina focal point from hotel room. That was nice!
Review 102:wifi is the biggest joke here!
Review 103:food, people, pool, staff, location, beach
Review 104:Check in and Front Desk Staff really let the place down and provide anot so inspiring first impression apon cheek in.
Review 105:Inclusive restaurants food was below average. reception staff try to sell timeshare on arrival
Review 106:Great location relaxing atmosphere
Review 107:Staff
