Reviews for Hotel Casa Das Irmas Dominicanas

Review 1:The staff was most warm, welcoming, professional, and courteous. The hotel was very clean. My room was very comfortable. The meals were traditional Portuguese dishes which were very tasteful and hardy. The location was ideal, 5 minute walk to the Shrine. The Dominican Sisters were tops. Enjoyed being able to use their Chapel for prayers and being able to attend their community Mass each day.

Review 2:Beds are not so comfortable, air conditioning is temperamental

Review 3:Really great food "caseiro" style, the staff at this hotel are wonderful and the location could not be more convenient for access to the local town and Sanctuary.

Review 4:Wifi doesn't work. impossible to use your laptop. Simple breakfast. Noisy, every morning at 6 AM people start taking showers, doors opening and closing. Water of the shower idoesn't have a steady temperature, Airco can't get lower than 22 degrees.

Review 5:Close to the sanctuary. Clean.

Review 6:The Bed, it was this way everywhere we stayed in Portugal. Themattresses are terrible.

Review 7:The staff is friendly, the food is great. Book all meals there, there isno better in Fatima. This is probably the best hotel in Fatima, with theonly playground for children in the town. The wifi was non existent. Itwas impossible to use,

Review 8:Location is great for us on our pilgrimage to Fatima. Facilities just right for what we wanted. Suzel behind the desk was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Review 9:Best location to visit Shrine, the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Suselle and Marco. The Nuns around are also very helpful and to have Mass in their Chapel was inspirational.

Review 10:If you have problems with sleeping, then don't have the room beside the elevator

Review 11:If you one is going on a pilgrim tour to Fatima, then it is the right place to be. It is about 5 minutes walk from the Sanctuary of Our Lady. Friendly staff and ok breakfast

Review 12:Good location, helpful staff, clean place. Breakfast with coffee, buns, ham/chese, cornflakes and yoghurt included.Reliable WiFi, walking distance to main sight (300m), free Parking available. The slightly monastic touch of the place is to be expected in this city, therefore not a drawback.Accordingly the hotel is booked by a more serious clientele and not so much by younger travelers- which again does not come as a surprise. In Fatima this hotel can be recommended and we would stay there again

Review 13:The staff was welcoming and friendlyt from the first moment I arrived. The hotel was very clean. My room was very comfortable. The walking distance from the Shrine was 5 minutes. Sister Mary of the Angels, was most gracious. I loved the Sister's Chapel and I enjoyed attending their community Mass. All three of my meals were very tasteful and wholesome. The front desk staff, the dinning room staff, and the housekeeping staff were great. The service was tops. As a Lay Dominican, I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Thank you for making my stay in Fatima most enjoyable.

Review 14:The beds could be more comfortable / renewed

Review 15:The staff are great, the food is typical home-style, the hotel is very clean, the location is central, walking distance from all main attractions

Review 16:The hotel was beautiful, charming, and clean. The staff and service were the best. Breakfast was free and lunch and dinner were only 10 euros each. The meals were home-made quality delicious and included drinks and dessert. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the basilica. I loved everything about this experience.

Review 17:On the weekends, when large groups of pilgrims come, it can get very busy and noisy in the corridors up to midnight - there should be a sign at both ends of the corridors reminding people to be considerate of others.

Review 18:We were given a fabulous, spacious room and there was an overall "good feel" about the place, specially during weekdays, when it was so peaceful. Very clean throughout and good, hearty breakfasts. The receptionists were always helpful and charming, no matter how busy they were.
