Reviews for Hotel D. Dinis

Review 1:Breakfast was lousy no choice what so ever. Light bulbs broken loose cables sockets hanging off and a building site outside bedroom

Review 2:The only thing I liked was that you had free wifi although that died off as hotel became full

Review 3:Nothing.

Review 4:Very close to central bus station. Newly renovated hotel. Although my room was facing a heavy traffic street, the sound proof window kept me out of the noise. Clean, Good breakfast and excellent wifi connection.

Review 5:Everything was great.

Review 6:We were lucky to get room 301 which has views of the castle, especially great at night when it is lit up. friendly staff and a great variety of breakfast items.

Review 7:Parking a car at this hotel was difficult. It is located on a small alley type road and the incline of the hill is very steep.

Review 8:desk clerk was very helpful

Review 9:The room was great! Just please take more focus on the shower, there are some chemicals needed against the wet consequence... Still I definitely would go to this place again!

Review 10:The staff was great, the room was surprisingly spacious, the location is central, the wifi was free, the breakfast was just a little of variety but perfectly enough for being included! We really felt comfortable! The room was well-cleaned, but the bathroom needs some more attention as described the water starts to distroy the clean image.

Review 11:Continental breakfast. For me it was fine, but it can be too modest for some people.

Review 12:Located close to the bus station. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

Review 13:We went to Leiria for the 'Entremuralhas, gothic festival in Aug.' the hotel was easy to find well located, everything within walking distance. The staff was amazing! The hotel is all renewed from the inside. The bed was new and very comfortable. The toilet was sparkling clean and modern. The couple in charge of the hotel were very helpful and sympathetic. I will definitely return and would recommend to anyone!

Review 14:This hotel was clean and quiet and close to the river and the old town. The owners were very welcoming and while their English was limited we still managed to communicate OK. They provided us with a good breakfast each morning and a friendly smile whenever we saw them.

Review 15:Easy walking to places of interest. We also used Lieria as a base to visit Nazare, Alcobaca, Batalha by bus and the hotel was a five minute walk. Our room had a great view of the castle and an unexpected bonus of a fireworks display with the castle as a backdrop.

Review 16:You may face a language barrier here since the most of the staff members do not speak English. If I hadn't studied Spanish, this would have been a slight problem.

Review 17:The peaceful and clean room that felt safe for a woman traveling alone. Great location right next to a beautiful river and the historical center of Leiria. Friendly staff. Fresh bakery products at breakfast.

Review 18:Everything was simply perfect. Staring from the location of the hotel - it's 5 minutes away from the bus station and in the city center. The rooms are confortable with everything needed. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to everyone who would like to visit Leiria.

Review 19:No complaints. All was very good.

Review 20:Great location and value for the money. There is an amazing restaurant called Pe-Do-Rio right across the street. It is a must.

Review 21:The hotel has a poor access and there aren't enough parking spaces

Review 22:The internet signal was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Thank you!

Review 23:Internet is a little bit slow. The old ladies and gentlemen at the reception table cannot speak English. And also the comforters are a little too heavy making it uncomfortable on bed. To add more, the hotel is rather hard to find without internet and google map.

Review 24:Receptionists are nice and warmhearted. Location is wonderful. Breakfast room is filled with sunlight.

Review 25:Possible downside for anyone who is mobility tested, incline up to the Hotel and Car Park.

Review 26:Initially thought we would have a problem as husband uses sticks but there is an elevator.Worth the extra for the balcony and the view.Breakfast included and the people were friendly and helpful

Review 27:Parking is a little tricky.

Review 28:The staff were very friendly and helpful during our 8 night stay. The location is excellent, right near the path along the River Lis.

Review 29:You have to sleep with enormous quantity of light entering the room. Very bad after 6 am. A shame in such an excelent hotel.

Review 30:Cleaness, bathroom, breakfast. Friendly staff.

Review 31:Parking is an issue. I had to park on the other side of the river. But this was my 2nd stay at the hotel so I need what to expect. The hot water was not working for about 45 mins. After calling reception they said that there was a problem and they were dealing with it. Once done the receptionist called to say all good.

Review 32:The price and the balcony. Good decour.

Review 33:-isolation of sound between room is not good enough. - there is no tea or coffee in rooms or at the reception -the staff hardly speak English, some of them speak but rarely seen.

Review 34:-the furniture -WiFi is unbelievable( very fast) -the location -the Price

Review 35:The entrance is located in a very steep street, but if you have a good phisycal condition, will not be a problem.

Review 36:Very good location, close to the center of the city.

Review 37:The final approach is a sharp right hand bend onto a steep road. Take a wide swing and be wary of poor road grip if very wet!

Review 38:Everything was fresh and as new, a good breakfast was provided and the staff were helpful. The location was only a short walk to the heart of the town although travelling by car, the one way traffic system made it difficult to locate the hotel initially. Five parking spaces are provided at the hotel with other spots nearby. Overall - exceptional value.

Review 39:Good location and nice staff. Hotel kept very clean. Our room had good views and everything was new in it. Friendly family hotel in a lovely town. Good value for money.

Review 40:A bit noisy beause of the road which is very close from the hotel. Rooms are not very big.

Review 41:The owners are very helpful and nice. It is clean and modern.

Review 42:shower was a little small, but a minor issue for us because we are small. Parking was tricky. Had to make a sharp uphill turn at the hotel (on a busy street), then go up to the parking area. Was good for getting out though.

Review 43:modern clean room, helpful staff, breakfast was a great bonus for the price and served with a smile, american tv stations, air conditioner, comfortable bed, parking close by, wifi worked well. Lady putting out breakfast and manning the desk was delightful though she spoke no English.

Review 44:The older man at the reception spoke practically no English at all (but we managed anyhow). The remote control for the air conditioning was missing and since the man didn't speak English, we didn't have the energy to go and complain about it. So the room was quite warm. In the evening the wifi didn't work at all but in the morning it was working. No hairdryer. Very basic breakfast (as in all the hotels we stayed at in Portugal).

Review 45:Excellent value for a 2-star hotel, we paid 42eur/night. The hotel was very clean and nicely done. Good location. We managed to park the car in street parking (free) nearby.

Review 46:Nothing really. A lively bar? But it was January, so not many people about!

Review 47:Good position for the town and restaurants.

Review 48:Location. Renovated rooms. Friendly staff.

Review 49:The staff was very helpful and the location was excellent.

Review 50:It's up quite a steep hill

Review 75:The city view, the bed comfort, the breakfast, the hospitality

Review 96:If you are taking a car, be advised that depending on the hours it can be difficult to park.

Review 97:Very confy room! Everything was clean. Breakfast was great for the price.

Review 98:everything was great!

Review 99:The staff was fabulous! We were lost and they actually walked downtown to find us and lead us back to the hotel! The room was clean with a great view of the city. We had a wonderful time in Leiria and would highly recommend staying at the Hotel D. Dinas - great value for the price!

Review 100:The hotel is not very easy to find, especially when you are driving late in the evening. The breakfast was not very varied, but for the amount paid for the room, it is understandable.

Review 101:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - they speak better French than English. The room was very clean and newly painted. Even though, there was not enough space, it was nicely managed to fit the furniture. There is a TV set in the room and a small fridge. The parking is convenient, even though the road to the hotel is quite steep.

Review 102:There was no hairdryer in the room and the wifi password could/should be given when you check in...but besides that I recommend it!

Review 103:The Hotel is right in the center of the city and has some good restaurants, etc close to it. The rooms are quite confortable and they seem to be new (re-painted, new windows, etc). Great quality for the price!

Review 104:- Very small bathroom and WC - Very wet air in the room - Cold - no heating by the beginning of April - No elevator - No fresh vegetable for breakfast

Review 105:- Very good location, just few minutes from the city center - Nice view from the window - Clean - Nice and helpful staff

Review 106:Breakfast was a bit blah. It could see a bit of improvement.

Review 107:Staff was absolutely wonderful. There were renovations underway in the morning, but they very kindly explained the situation and were very apologetic. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Windows are soundproofed. Had a very comfortable stay.

Review 108:Steep and narrow access to parking - only 4 spaces.

Review 109:Excellent location, hotel breakfast (included in price) much better than at other, more expensive hotels. Owners (friendly and helpful) didn't speak English so we conversed in French. Very good value for money.

Review 110:Too much noise coming from the street.

Review 111:Very friendly staff. Central location, very good price. Easy and free on street parking very close to the entrance.

Review 112:No elevator, but this is a small price to pay.

Review 113:A very nice place with helpful staff. A nice room with city view. Good location in the center. Free private parking. A good deal.

Review 114:Hotel is just renovated. All new. Perfect location, great modern design of rooms and bathrooms. Very clean. Best breakfast we had in our 2-week trip in Portugal and Spain. Owner is very friendly and helpful

Review 115:No fresh juice.

Review 116:Great hotel, Rather small, but with all the necessarily luxury you need. Great value for your money. Good location near the centre An the busstation.

Review 117:There are only 4 parking spots designated for the hotel, which are in a very steep street. However we were lucky to always find a parking spot very close to it anyway.

Review 118:The owners are a very kind and friendly couple. The hotel had been recently renovated with simple but stylish design. The breakfast was good and served every morning by the lady owner. It's a 5 min walk from the center. Overall very good quality for the price.

Review 119:Doesn't have an elevator. Climbing 3 floors with an exhausted 7 year boy was an hard task. I had trouble with the door lock. The key kept getting stuck and wouldn't rotate. The clerk, although polite, seemed a little far-off.

Review 120:The location and price. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Review 121:The shower's door was not wide enough to enter or exit confortably. Some rooms do not have air con and a lift would realy be wellcame (we have already climbed to get to the hotel) But for €28, who cares...

Review 122:The price! Location is central and rooms are good and clean.

Review 123:no lift but the senhor carried my luggage.

Review 124:I highly recommend this hotel. Very clean, spacious, modern bathroom, including bidet and hairdryer. Quiet, well-lit room, comfortable bed, window with black-out curtain. Very central, just a few minutes walk to everything. Great value, includes breakfast. The energetic, cheerful senhora who manged the breakfast is very nice - will offer to make toasts (even crepes one day) in addition to what is laid out (coffee/tea, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, jam/butter, fresh fruits). They speak English.

Review 125:For the price I wouldn't complain about anything. I found in Portugal generally the breakfasts were of quite limited choice and this was no different but that would be the only thing.

Review 126:Very pleasant staff. Excellent value. Quiet-ish location with just a short walk to the centre. Very nice and clean room. Parking convenient but limited.

Review 127:Everything looks a little bit outdated. The building and the adjacent area is not romantic.

Review 128:Silent location, friendly staff, pretty clean

Review 129:Nothing

Review 130:Location, location, location
