Reviews for Hotel Szara Willa
Review 1:Comfort - I brought this issue up on my last visit to Szara Willa in late 2013 and was promised that I'll be surprised on my next visit - surprise I was as nothing was done in over 2 years! Okay, I understand that it may be difficult to install an elevator (at present, there's a spiral staircase which makes it difficult if your allocated room in on the 2nd/3rd floor and you've a hefty luggage to drag). But there's no excuse not to install "total blackout" type of curtains. (I'm easily disturbed even with the dimmest of the light, usually I carry my blindfold with me but...) Breakfast/Room Service - Whilst everything tasted good (and we didn't have enough time to enjoy our breakfast) everything was rather cold/lukewarm. This could've been easily avoided by using insulated pots/crockery. Value - Compared to other similar properties/hotels, I feel that Szara Willa doesn't offer a good value for money. Having said that, we still prefer to stay here when visiting Opole mainly because of we know what not to expect.
Review 2:Location - very close to city center, Not sure about the train station though Customer Service - Front desk (especially at night) staff was brilliant! Had a rather negligible issue which was dealt with rather swiftly. Breakfast - We asked for room service (and a special request), everything was well presented and tasted good (and fresh - mostly)
Review 3:Bowling alley is making a lot of noise - the walls are shaking. Talking to the staff about a new room was impossible due to extremely poor English skills. Take this into account when booking - bowling alley open until 0100 on Fri and Sat. Apart from this noise, good place.
Review 4:Nice room - looking big with tall ceilings. Excellent breakfast. Nearly like a brunch. Pity they don't restock on some things - so don't come too late :)
Review 5:The room we had was above the bowling alley so, even though we were on the second floor the sounds of the machines could be heard. The town square is around 10 minutes walk away from the hotel.
Review 6:The Villa is a decent hotel in Opole which functions well for short visits or business trips. The pub downstairs is a good place for a few beers and snacks in the evening and the hotel also has a well equipped gym and a bowling alley. The modern Solaris shopping mall is just opposite the hotel with a multiplex cinema showing films in English with Polish subtitles.
Review 7:Poor breakfast, unpleasant staff in the restaurant
Review 8:Clean and comfortable rooms, wifi access, massage service, fitness centre, restaurant food, free underground parking, location, design of the rooms, value for money
Review 9:food wise ( breakfast ) was a bit of a disappointment - poor quality coffee maker not much of hot food choice...overall 4 out of 5 !
Review 10:i can recommend the hotel looking at the room condition ( comfortable beds, modern design ) and location
Review 11:No light on the outside terrace of the restaurant Hotel and restaurant outdated; but OK.
Review 12:Transfer to the airport Silence around the hotel Good quality for the food Good price-quality
Review 13:The hotel waa perfectly located for easy reaching the conference hall. The staff was extremely nice, kind, and professional. The rooms where clean and silent. I would recommend this hotel for sure.
Review 14:Only very small negative point: the carpet in the room could have been a little cleaner. Not that it was dusty, but it could use a shampoo, or something like that, I think. But overall, I found it a great value for the money, one of the best that I have had in any European hotel.
Review 15:Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, spacious rooms, and a gym to work out.
Review 16:The only issue is that there is no elevator from the lobby to the top floor ... you can however take an elevator from the car park to the top floor
Review 17:Location is excellent ... a few mins walks from the old town square and directly across from the mall. Everything is essentially on your doorstep. The rooms are very modern and spacious with every amenity you could need. Our room faced out the back so was very quite. The room also had black out blinds which were definitely a big plus in the summer months.
Review 18:Unfortunately my dinner, which I ordered to my room, from the hotel restaurant, was just lukewarm.
Review 19:Considering quality, price, location, free parking it's the best hotel in Opole.
Review 20:Garage was under reconstruction, while it was not announced prior to reservation. Finally I parked on the street instead of the offerred school parking place, since it seemed a bit unprotected. Bowling place is directly under the rooms, it is noisy.
Review 21:Good location.
Review 22:Bed sheets had some stains, as well as a delux room looked pretty standard
Review 23:Nice location, smooth service, and a great breakfast buffet
Review 24:Good price, confortable, bon service.

Review 26:I like very much this place, well situated, nice rooms, good service, after 3 nights spent in nothing bad to tell about it.
Review 27:nothing

Review 38:I have stayed in number of hotels in Opole and Szara Willa is definitely the best. Suprisingly cosy and proffesional for that small city.
Review 39:very nice and big room. very friendly personal.
Review 40:1) Price little high
Review 41:1) The lasagna was very excellent. 2) Nice Gym 3) Great breakfast 4) Very comfortable bed
Review 42:An elevator should have been of help since we had heavy luggages.
Review 43:Overall, the stay was good. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. The place seems empty all the time.
Review 44:The AC was not working, I had constant 23-24C at night in my room, dispite open windows (they open only a little) in March. Potable water is sold only in small bottles, I drunk 6 to sleep in such temperature, which turned to be 20% of my hotel bill extra. Breakfast was simple, yet some food seemed to be not super fresh. No low fat choices. The hotel really could use a good manager.
Review 45:modern hotel, centrally located
Review 46:No lift to second floor, no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast staff aren't friendly ( no greeting, no good bye). Dinner menu was extremely confusing, too much of choice . Around 200 items. I've ordered broth for starter which was extremely salty, had steam fish for main and aren't fresh. Would stay again but would eating out definitely.
Review 47:The view from the room, the room was very clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful . Good location.
Review 48:There is no lift to your room and it was a big hassle to carry all the suitcases down the stairs. Not for the elderly!
Review 49:Perfect location, close to all Amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Review 50:Poor breakfast. High parking fee for hotel guests! We had a"deluxe" asia- style room, which was rather standard (!) ifnot for gold buddhas around...
Review 51:Clean, eye-catching, silent at night. We were able to use SzaraWilla's bowling & fitness clubs. Very nice location close to themain square.
Review 52:I am not sure why conference chairs were being stacked in such a visiblepart of the hotel
Review 53:This is the best hotel in Opole. The price was good value and it seemslike a fairly new hotel. Rooms are well decorated and bathrooms veryclean and of a decent size.
Review 54:The freezer was empty; no drink in the minibar - we didn't have time to ask why it was so, but we found this odd.
Review 55:Beautiful rooms as well as the dining room! We enjoyed very much. I would definitely come again!
Review 56:No Lift, had to carry 30KG suitcase to 2nd floor via semi-spiral stairs! Breakfast; served in pub, pickled peppers and olives, tired muesli, lukewarm beverages and few types of meat - all of which was Pork, Well... Tea/Coffee making facility isn't inclusive in the room cost Curtains (you just can't cover the window fully) and shower cabinet (perhaps it was designed for disabled in mind) were among the worst I've seen in the hotel industry
Review 57:People at Szara Willa were excellent, special complements goes to Aneta @ the front counter and the housekeeping lady (don't know her name) (Aneta also sorted our to-go breakfast well) Location is very good too, 10 min walk to Rynak (City Square) etc Spacious, comfortable bedding, decent furniture, well built wardrobes Gym is free, 10% discount available (to guests) for sauna Other facilities comprise of tv, iron, stitching kit, shoe cleaning, and hair dryer
