Review 1：Breakfast starts at 7.00 am - no flexibility when I asked if I can get it at 6.45. The room smelled of tobacco; and there was an ashtray in it (for all I know, this is contrary to the law in Slovenia that bans smoking from public spaces).

Review 5：We stopped for one night on our way to Italy, everything was really good. Hotel is clean, stuff polite, breakfast very good. There is nothing much to see in NG but if you have car, there are lot of interesting sights around.

Review 23：The building looks good from the outside, but inside, in the aisles, you see it is a little older. Our room was a small suite with two bedrooms, quite comfortable.

Review 24：It was a bit over our budget, but managed to change our booking in the last few days prior to leaving to a package without breakfast. It would have been better to have had that option straight away. Whilst the twin rooms were bigger than the double rooms the air conditioning unit was above the door to the corridor which meant you had to keep the second internal door open. this was the sound proof door so the room was noisier. The air-conditioning unit was very effective, but noisy and so couldn't be kept on overnight. Our double room was quiet as far as noise from inside the hotel was concerned, but it was right beside the street light and was on the corner so there was a lot of street noise especially early in the morning. We were surprised when we treated ourselves to a family meal at the hotel that we had to pay in cash at the end of the meal. This was really quite awkward.

Review 25：It was very hot when we visited and the whole of the inside of the hotel was pleasantly cool and had a few seating areas where you could sit inside away from your room. When we booked three rooms for our family they were in the same annex but not directly together which gives is ideal, with a bit of privacy, but not having to search the hotel for your teenage children. The reception staff had excellent English. The hotel was always clean.

Review 28：Great location--allows you to avoid the high-rise anonymity of Nova Gorica. The hotel is also a pleasing combination of old and new. We had a whole terrace to ourselves and a view of the mountains. The restaurant is almost gourmet in quality, with super-friendly wait staff. Plus, get this, they do gluten free!

Review 60：The location was good, the hotel easy to find. There was a big free private parking. The room and the bathroom were clean and well equipped. The bar and the restaurant have convenient prices and sufficient possibilities. The personnel is kind. The hotel is a good starting point for visiting the historic twin cities of Goriza and Nova Gorizia and the franciscan monastery on the hill ! The breakfast buffet was also OK.

Review 62：The hotel is pretty central place, the room is nice and likely not worth the high price. We asked for a double bed reservation through booking website and received two separate beds. Spoke with the receptionist about it asked for a discount price, but we encountered a refusal.

Review 63：The cocks in the shower in our room were very stiff, it was difficult to maneuver them until you found the right temperature for the water. There is no fridge in the rooms, that was rather unconfortable especially if you travel with children and you would have to store special food. But we managed to get by...

Review 64：Sabotin is a very nice place. The building itself is very pretty, with its air of a former noble's home. The staff is very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Although we booked a room for 7 nights, we decided to stay only for 6 and they were ok with it, although they could have charged the 7th as well. On booking.com, I booked a room with twin beds (it appeared as the only double one left), but after they noticed we travel with a child, they called me and offered us a room with a regular double bed for the same price. The room itself was not very big and it was at the second floor, where the windows are rather small, but it was not a problem (the baby actually slept very well because there was less light in the morning). Breakfast is sufficient. The room was cleaned every day (although the bedding could be changed at least every 3 or 4 days). There is excellent wifi in the rooms. Nova Gorica itself is not that nice, but Solkan, the suburb where the hotel is located, is rather nice. Also, it is a perfect place to do great day-trips (Trieste, Venezia, Ljubljana, Postojna, Udine, Padova are all close, especially if you travel by car). You can also rent bikes at the reception of the hotel. It is not the cheapest hotel you have ever been to, but it very probably is the cheapest hotel you'll find in a quite expensive area of Europe.

Walking distance from thelovely town Gorizia Italy where it is possible do horse riding. I had anexcellent and relaxing holiday. The hotel is also in a quite position (no noise in the night). One hour by train from Ljubljana. Definitely Iwould go there again.....and the breakfast is awesome! But should havebicycles for customers:)
