Reviews for Amadore Hotel Restaurant De Kamperduinen
Review 1:It is the third time that we stay here. Everything was fine again, only the supper was a whole lot less than the previous times.
Review 2:The location and very spacious rooms, a cozy bar!
Review 3:A pity that pool access with swimsuit is so restrictive. It would be nice to be able to have an early morning swim before setting out for a day of sight seeing, etc. but pool only opens at 10:00 and is only accessible with swimsuits until 12:00.
Review 4:Very comfortable rooms and nice hotel overall. Breakfast buffet was good but could do with a "highlight" everyday, something different - became a bit boring after 3 days
Review 5:Dinner in the restaurant. it might have to do with the dutch cuisine not being famous for great food, bute the tomato soup was an instant soup with some onions put inside. I couldn't eat it. The salad was ok, but a small portion for a huge amount of money
Review 6:Nice, big and clean rooms, with a kitchenette an enough space
Review 7:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we were offered a complimentary upgrade to a ground floor apartment, which was perfect for us and our dog. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly at all times, and made us and our four-legged travel companion feel very welcome. The proximity to the beach was perfect for long Autumn walks. The room / apartment itself was clean, very comfortable and tastefully decorated, making it feel like a "home from home". We will certainly be looking to stay at the Amadore Hotel De Kaperduinen again, and would recommend the hotel to anyone - with or without canine company!
Review 8:The only negative point was that our bedroom could have been cleaner. There was quite some dust overall and a spider web hanging in one of the corners.
Review 9:Although it looks like many guests get upgraded, we were upgraded as well to a studio with small kitchen and seating area. And with an extra bedroom with two single beds, which we obviously didn't need, as it was just the two of us. But hey, extra space is always nice! Staff was extremely friendly, both at the reception as in the restaurant we had breakfast (twice) and had dinner (once). And last but not least, it's pretty close to the beach.
Review 10:breakfast-room too small for the huge quantity of peple gathering there at the same time ( closes at 10.00!), who had to queue up to get to the buffet, which is too tight. access to swimming-pool restricted to nudists in the afternoon
Review 11:very good location and facilities. bike-rental ( but expensive)
Review 12:I would suggest the use of trays at the breakfast table to enable the guests to take everything in one go.
Review 13:Nice hotel, excellent staff, very good food, quiet environment, fair prices.
Review 14:Breakfast unfortunately disappointed us. It was the worst breakfast that I eat at the hotel
Review 15:The best bed in the world, beautiful room and bath with bubbles. Dinner was delicious, the best fish and steak
Review 16:Terrible "loung music". Please try something different ... or leave the guests in peace and tranquility. This kind of "no-music" is used throughout Europe in hotels, restaurants, etc. If we asked people around us about this music, nobody seems to like it. Maybe something to take into account.
Review 17:Friendly, non obtrusive staff!
Review 18:Entrecôte+fries+vegetables good but absolutely overpriced...
Review 19:Very nice and clean hotel near to the sea, good breakfast. Got upgraded to a suite without asking...thumbs up!
Review 20:The wellness area gets far too crowded on the weekend, access should be controlled and/or hotel guests should have preferred access or hours. We made a dinner booking and still had to wait for half an hour.
Review 21:The size of the rooms, the standard of the bathroom, general cleanliness. The proximity to the road, which some others complained about, did not bother us. You can see this on the map before you book. The isolation of the hotel was exactly why we booked it. 5 mins walk to the beach.
Review 22:- Surprise of 25EUR supplement for basic equipment in the kitchen like a saucepan, soup bowls. - A pitty that children of 10-12 years are not allowed in wellness during afternoon when in company of parents, but OK this was clearly communicated from the beginning.
Review 23:Plenty of room, perfect location, good wifi signal, very friendly staff, ...
Review 24:I have no negative comments
Review 25:1. Staff were excellent - friendly, polite, helpful. 2. Very good food - very comfortable and elegant surroundings. 3. Good sized room - very comfortable and well-appointed
Review 26:NA. Strongly recommended.
Review 27:The location is perfect, just five minutes walk from the beach. The room is clean and spacious. Although we ordered double room before, actually we got one apartment on the top floor with big terrace. The breakfast meets our expectation, btw WIFI signal is good as well.
Review 28:Beware the spa is actually nudist. We could not enjoy the pool, garden,Jacuzzi because we were not aware that the "no bathing suitsallowed" meant "co-ed". Than had to cancel a day of ourweekend stay (at a charge) because of it.
Review 29:Lovely emplacement. Massage and beauty treatments correct.
Review 30:Food in general. Pricey and without much choice at breakfast for a 4* hotel.
Review 31:Nice staff. Got an apartment with bunk beds in one room, which was unusable for the adults and the reception staff did the effort to change it. Very comfortable apartments.
Review 32:Very pleasant, polite and professional staff, especially at the reception. Great variety in breakfast. Nice and elegant interior of rooms. A small but nice spa area almost exclusively for adults. Very pet friendly, low extra fee and access of dogs in public areas of the hotel. Overall, definitely recommended.
Review 33:The restaurant was fully booked on that Saturday night
Review 34:The free upgrade from a simple room to a 2 bedroom apartment The breakfast buffet
Review 35:Kids below 16 are only allowed to swim between 10 and 12 as it is a nude spa for the rest of the day
Review 36:Location close to the Deltawerken
Review 37:nothing bad,
Review 38:very friendly staff, good food, close to the beach, nice spa area, overall good value...in the off-season anyway
Review 39:it will be great if the suite can include all kitchen utilities. It provide a stove without pot and pans and you need to pay for it.
Review 40:The bed. The steam room
Review 41:Sauna and surrounding facilities. Appartment.
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:What a stay! Fabulous is the only word I can find. Highly recommended! Thanks to all staff for making our stay so lovely.
Review 44:No wifi
Review 45:Staffs are very kind
Review 46:'stiff' atmosphere, price
Review 47:closeness to dunes
Review 48:none
Review 49:Room, facility, wifi
Review 50:Bathroom was a bit dirty (shower)
Review 51:Restaurant is very good
Review 52:Location, staff, diner, atmosphere
Review 53:Nothing to dislike
Review 54:The room was actually an amazing suite.
Review 55:We are upgraded to a big family apartment room and I greatly suggest this room to family's with kids
Review 56:No comment
Review 57:Reception, service in bar and restaurant. Easy parking
Review 58:two single beds instead of the requested twin bed carpet in the room
Review 59:Spacious rooms nice bathroom
Review 60:Wifi doesn't work. The Spa sounds more impressive then it really is.
Review 61:breakfast very friendly staff great fish lunch dishes
Review 62:Als Wellnesshotel nicht zu empfehlen.
Review 63:sauna was out of order
Review 64:Room and friendly service
Review 65:No complementairies to buy at the reception in case you frogot a comb or thootbrush. Necessary for high standard hotel like amadore in my opinion.
Review 66:The terras with the heaters when it gets chilly, the food, location is great. Short walk to the beach. Wellness is good and clean.
Review 67:We did not like that our children of 8 and 11 were not allowed in the pool and wellness area. When we made the booking via internet this info was not clearly given. This is ' poor'. Marketing.
Review 68:terribly noisy rooms, had asked for a quiet room as I was in great need for some rest but I was given a room opposite the elevator, near the motorway and the constant door banging and cleaners/guests constantly running up/down stairwell made it impossible to have a rest during daytime or an early night
Review 69:room size, it was really a small appartment, good beds, breakfast, location
Review 70:They advertise that they have a spa and swimmingpool. It is not written anywhere in the text that you need to pay for these facilities. When you get there they tell you you need to pay 15 euro per person to use it. This never happened to me before in a 4 star hotel.
Review 71:The swimming pool was not included in the reservation. It costs 15 EUR/person/day to use the swimming pool and spa facilities, even if you wanted to use the swimming pool only. Maybe this was written somewhere, I can't say, but the fact remains that I was unpleasantly surprised when I arrived. So I decided not to use the swimming pool.
Review 72:Good, clean hotel; staff very polite. Good, quiet location not far from the beach (although there are rooms that face a busy road - fortunately, ours wasn't one of them). Our room was upgraded to an apartment, which was a very nice surprise: a two-bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette.
Review 73:restaurant manager less friendly. The way of approaching people could be more professional and less brutal, also towards the personal.
Review 74:Good food, table service good and friendly. Nice location and swimming, sauna facilities very nice
Review 75:- Swimming pool was MUCH smaller than it looks on the photos - Required to be nude for the swimming pool and sauna's. It was also very busy. - Bed consisted of two split mattresses so you can't really sleep together. They did not have any rooms with beds of one large mattress. - We expected a bath in the bathroom, but there was just a shower. - Coffee machine and water boiler in the kitchen did not work.
Review 76:It was a really nice hotel and we had a really comfortable and spacious room. The breakfast was fabulous and the sauna's were really enjoyable.
Review 77:Some parts of the toilet and around it were not cleaned well. We had some old boiled eggs at breakfast and the staff did not inform us that breakfast was closing and took everything away. The drinks at the bar are a bit more pricey than average.
Review 78:The room is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The wellness is very relaxing and we enjoyed the food in the restaurant for dinner. The beach, the Emelisse brewery are very close. Also a very central place to visit other near cities
Review 79:Attitude of the staff who gave us faulty information and tried to charge us service that had been previously cancelled from our side. The hotel restaurant serves average-quality food for far above-average prices + the restaurant staff is rather slow (we got our soup 1h15 after we got our table in the restaurant + the whole dinner, composed of soup+main course, took 2,5 hours due to waiting!!). Would return to the hotel but would definitely avoid its restaurant.
Review 80:Location near the beach, comfort
Review 81:The hotel is right next to a motorway. While there wasn't much traffic at night and you don't really hear the cars inside it does spoil the view from the restaurant a little...
Review 82:Very nice room, big and quite fancy. The wellness facilities are nice, too. Good food and very friendly staff.
Review 83:Unable to book any treatments. No slippers in wellness area and no staff to explain the difference between the three saunas.
Review 84:Location by the sea and in the middle of Zeeland so good for sightseeing too. Good restaurant, pleasant staff, nice wellness area. Upgraded to apartment.
Review 85:Not really up to the standards for a 4 stars: no room minibar, no confort items (bathroom and room), wellness items (bathrobe, slippers) to be paid!
Review 86:Available staff, big room, long accessibility hours for the beauty center
Review 87:Very weak wifi reception in room; cleaning department was very present (i.e. ran into cleaning carts everywhere ); wellness only accessible with kids from 10 till 12 in the morning if you want to use bathing suits; you are charged 10 euros for a baby-bed per night. If you stay 3+ nights, you might just want to consider buying one and bringing it. Vending machine prices are ridiculous: two euros for 25cl of bottled Evian water.
Review 88:Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast, although it can get really crowded, is of good quality. Spa and wellness are luxurious, too. Beach is only a five minutes' walk from the hotel. Got a little gift for the baby upon entering the room (was placed in the baby-bed). Parking-lot is next door and free of charge.
Review 89:Noisy environment : hotel located at a busy express way and 2 parkinglots. Noise starts at 6 in the morning with supply trucks on the parkinglot. Air conditioning is not cooling the room, (only "atmospherecontrol"), windows don't open enough for fresh air (but theylet in the noise that comes from outside) Automatic light sensors in theroom are annoying. Breakfast is only so and so. Carefull when booking :the wellness may not be included in your room rate, this is not clearlymentioned on the website !
Review 90:Friendly staff Close to the beach and Veerse Meer.
Review 91:Restaurant! Food quality is mediocre and yet quite expensive. We asked to charge Our meals to the room bill and got charged a 5euro handling Per meal. This is a disgrace. We have never had this in any other hotel.
Review 92:We loved our room. Were upgraded it was very nice.
Review 93:We were initially "upgraded" to a family suite on the ground floor that felt a bit cramped. The regular double room we switched to was much nicer.
Review 94:Great location very close to the beach, light and airy room and helpful staff
Review 95:We had a secret deal. Otherwise staying at the Kamperduinen is rather expensive.
Review 96:Friendly staff. Food in the restaurant was very good. Very spacious room. Beautiful bathroom.
Review 97:shortage of parking spots outside indoor parking with fee bicycle rent relatively high extra fee for bathrobe etc service in restaurant slow and bad, it took 95 minutes to get our main course food ok but mediocre and pricy staff in restaurant not at all professional which is odd seeing that they claim to have 4 stars
Review 98:room ok
Review 99:Our room was extremely hot and our window was 1 meter from the restaurant area. Privacy can be a bit of an issue with 100 people looking into your room durring breakfast and dinner.
Review 100:Location near a beautiful beach and lovely (but small) wellness centre.
Review 101:Location, rooms
Review 102:Restaurant came across as expensive, but a bit unprofessional.
Review 103:Location and rooms were perfect.
Review 104:Very beatiful mrs. supervisor :) ping-pong restaurant
Review 105:Wonderful Breakfast Buffet
Review 106:rather limited winelist
Review 107:Eating room floor very dirty
Review 108:Close to the beach Nice room
Review 109:The cost of anything from the mini-bar.
Review 110:Friendly Welcome, helpful Staff, Choice and standard of food in the restaurant.
Review 111:Staying for two nights, we were allowed to access the spa only for one day.
Review 112:Huge room
Review 113:The taste of the morning Coffee
Review 114:The beds and the room
Review 115:Very nice appartement
Review 116:- Wellness far too small (only 6 beds for resting) - Buffett area too tight
Review 117:- Was close to the beach - Room had good size - Pet friendly
Review 118:Overall very nice and also a great breakfast
Review 119:Dinner buffet for 30 Euro p.p. wasn't worth it
Review 120:Nice location close to the beach
Review 121:Restaurant : value for money to be improved
Review 122:Friendliness of staff, confort in rooms, bikes
Review 123:The Weather! (not something the Hotel could do anything with!)
Review 124:Large spacious room Friendly staff Excellent breakfast Restaurant superb
Review 125:I was extracharge with 300 euro for 2 children ( 4 and 6 years ) for only 3 nights
Review 126:Staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. My compliments!
Review 127:The free upgrade to the penthous with our baby
Review 128:We got upgraded to an Appartment, that was awesome.
Review 129:All was good.
Review 130:Top hotel in general: luxury rooms, charming spa, excellent service, seaside location, good meals. I certainly recommend this hotel.
Review 131:The restaurant
