Reviews for Hotel Casa da Nora
Review 1:the room could be a litte bit more spacy and better equiped; but that 's not an issue if concerning a short stay
Review 2:very friendly staff, excellent restaurant
Review 3:Restaurant expensive for area and average. Watch even if you send back bread and appetizers they put it on your bill! Rooms very small but do have air con.
Review 4:Great base for 2 max 3 nights to explore Fatima and monasteries. Beds comfy
Review 5:Very nice apartment, pool and garden; special dinner at the hotel' s restaurant that serves delicious portoguese traditional food reinterpretated in a refined way
Review 6:Hot water a little slow going up to the top floor.
Review 7:Lovely family run hotel. Fantastique breakfast with homemade cake and real fresh fruit salad not tinned. Our kid loved the swimming pool, the cat with its kittens, the tuttels and the trampoline. Will definately go back if on the area again.
Review 8:Perhaps lacked an area ( other than round the pool) to sit in the sun and relax. Terrace was usually laid up for lunch or dinner.
Review 9:Location, very friendly staff and individuality of the hotel. Lovely pool.
Review 10:Beautifull location and friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet in the morning. Recommend the restaurant for diner, good menu and accompanying taste of wines for acceptable prices.
Review 11:True king size bed and soaker tub in our suite, overlooking river and fountains. Dinner in the restaurant was the best meal of our trip (try the house red - locally sourced and fantastic). Owner and her son are engaging hosts. Great gin and tonic. Quirky, quaint and comfortable.
Review 12:The shower was tight...European standard. Tough to say much bad otherwise.
Review 13:Refurbished mill works...enjoyed the view from our terrace. Wonderful restaurant...worked through a big part of the menu and didn't have even an average dish. All great.
Review 14:Not the easiest place to find - would have been stuck without an I-phone
Review 15:Excellent food - best we had in Portugal and that included some expensive restaurants and pousadas. wine very reasonable and we really enjoyed the bottle suggested to us. Popular with the locals for dinner.
Review 16:Breakfast was adequate but not special Restaurant: beautiful food but at a price The children screaming and dive-bombing into the river from the street, just outside our window
Review 17:Rustic old water mill, beautifully restored The working mill-wheel Restaurant with river view Excellent food The garden with good size swimming pool The pedalo, free to potter up the river a short distance The bedroom with wooden-shuttered windows The manageress, very charming and helpful The location, just 3km from Leiria
Review 18:We booked a double bed and got a twin bed without any warning beforehand.

Review 34:All staff, the boss, the shower, safe car, breakfast massive, exellent dinnerand value. I can say that is the best place to relax and be safe in abeautiful place. Thanks I ll be back next time.
Review 35:The breakfast area was very uninviting; musty smell with obvious mould in places. The only item that looked fresh was the bread ( meat and cheese were left out unrefrigerated ). No help offered with luggage and there was no lift.
Review 36:The main restaurant for dinner was quite cosy and the food quite good quality and value.
Review 37:Next to the hotel is a stream that due to the extreme weather they were having in Portugal was nearly overflowing, the drain covers on the road to Cortes had come out.
Review 38:Staff was very helpful, a cosy, quite little Hotel.
Review 39:Difficult to fault this hotel, but they need to get their menu translated into decent English for those who don't speak Portuguese. The very approximate translations currently used don't really do adequate justice to the dishes in question. Otherwise everything is first-rate.
Review 40:We absolutely loved our stay at Casa da Nora. The staff were wonderfully attentive, friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was clean, quiet and well-situated and the food and wine were truly exceptional. The price was distinctly reasonable for what we got in terms of accommodation and service. Thoroughly recommended.
