Reviews for Hotel Juliana
Review 1:The entire hotel is a bit run down. Given the price this is still acceptable. Howerver the bath room was just disgusting and I did not feel very comfortable while taking a shower.
Review 2:The place is ideally located (next to the University).
Review 3:Very narrow stairs. No heating in bathroom. No vegs in breakfast. Very thin walls.
Review 4:Very close to tu delft, and to city center. Comfy bed and bathroom. Good wifi.
Review 5:Breakfast would have been a little bit better. There was not much variety and there was no toaster. It was difficult to have cold breads in winters :)
Review 6:Room was pretty nice, clean and cozy with all the facilities. Since I had work in University, hotel's location was very good (just a few min walk from university)
Review 7:Furnitures in the rooms are a bit old.
Review 8:The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the university and at walking distance from the center and the train station. The location is also very quite.
Review 9:The room was large, comfortable and facing the garden. Quiet and warm environment. Funny and strange the internal layout of my room since the entrance door opened onto the bathroom (fortunately the lady at the reception informed me about the peculiarity of that room avoiding my astonishment when entering the room I would have found a bathroom with sink, wc and shower rather than a bed...). The quality of the breakfast was good.
Review 10:Nothing in the bar - no stock; couldn't even offer a juiceor a snack; bar essentially unmanned. This really is a B&B arrangement -not really falling under the category of Hotel. Bathroom was filthy. No hairdryer, shower gel sachets difficult to get anything out of, no shampoo. Only hand towels, slightly bigger towels I think may have supposed to have been bath towels but more appropriate for someone the size of an average four-year-old.
Review 11:Location, Room okay; had tea/coffee making facilities.
Review 12:This was our first visit to Delft, but we were made to feel like old friends at the Hotel Juliana! At the end of the day, it was a pleasure to return to the peace and quiet of the hotel with its pretty terrace after sightseeing in town.
Review 13:Very clean and calm place. Nice breakfast. Tidy and fairly big bathroom. Located at a very convenient place, i.e. very close to train and bus stops, city centre.
Review 14:Our rooms were up on the top floor in the roof and got very hot, however fans were provided and to be fair it was exceptionally hot weather anyway.
Review 15:Lovely hotel within walking distance of everything. Comfortable, clean, and staff helpful and friendly. Free parking for cars is also nearby.
Review 16:the bathroom could have been better, but it was completely acceptable.
Review 17:Nice hotel, efficient staff, walking distance from city centre and royal delft factory in a very nice part of town. Very complete European breakfast (no scrambled eggs or bacon but nice cold cuts and bread with spreadables).
Review 18:There is no elevator, the breakfast is exactly the same every day and the supply is not very wide, the dush cabin is low for the tall mens, the bed-linen was dirty.
Review 19:Very good wifi.
Review 20:The staff were very friendly and pleasant. I had to leave very early to catch a flight and the staff organised breakfast for me in my room. They also organised an early morning taxi for me
Review 21:Electrical sockets poorly arranged and not accessible. Needed to move the kettle to make tea. Plastic cups for tea/coffee? Does not really match expectations. Needs some serious updating as a hotel!
Review 22:Convenient for city centre and free parking. Courtyard/garden was nice, the hotel could make better use of this facility.
Review 23:The "free" parking was about 300 meters away, but it was not a problem. It is an adequate hotel.
Review 24:Good breakfast and comfortable bed. We stayed here because we couldn't find anything closer to Schipol airport for an early flight the next morning. It is a 20 min drive to Den Hague and 30 min to the P3 parking at the airport.
Review 25:Old German toilet - disgusting! Bad unpolite staff. Claim 30 TV channels, but only 3 worked, the rest was code protected. Breakfast was really bad, like in Germany in the 1960's with day-old bread, "plastic" marmelade and boring cheese.
Review 26:Location
Review 27:The breakfast was very basic, no pastry or croissants, very limited options. No Lift and some stairs very difficult to climb, sometime even dangerous especially if you carry medium size luggages.
Review 28:Location was close to University, quiet, good wifi (free)
Review 29:Staff very helpful went out of there way to help.My partner asked for a gluten and wheat free breakfast in advance this was produced for us and we were told that she could take any surplice bread with us .
Review 30:This is not a criticism but the bar closes rather early in the evening.
Review 31:A great welcome from the hotel staff. Northing is too much trouble. Nice garden to sit in or have breakfast in. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of storage space. Very clean and plenty of towels provided
Review 32:It wa a bit cold in the room...the heating was not powerful
Review 33:Breakfast could do with some improvements, salads, fruits etc
Review 34:The shower was not clean enough
Review 35:Perfect for visiting the Unviersity
Review 36:The room was comfortable, the breakfast was really good.
Review 37:Price
Review 38:Kind staff, cozy facilities
Review 39:Welcoming, helpful, informative staff. only 15 min walk to town centre. Kettle in room, classic B&B. Great
Review 40:I thought the room/facilities were over rated & the room was expensive for size & facilities offered.
Review 41:No early check in
Review 42:Location location location
Review 43:Everything was perfect. Across the street from TU-Delft University and very near the town centre. Excellent staff, really kind and helpful.
Review 44:Close to the University, not far from Delft City Center, indoor terrace (probably) valuable during the summer
Review 45:Nice. Quiet. Comfortable. Affordable. With a touch of nostalgia. In the waking distance to old city centre, university, TNO, Thales.
Review 46:TV noise from room next door.
Review 47:Cosy size
Review 48:Clean. Reasonable price. A cute small garden.
Review 49:limited parking facilities
Review 50:Staff helpful & Informative fair size rooms garden to relax in Great breakfast Walking distance of town centre
Review 51:Steep stairs
Review 52:Breakfast was very basic with not many options. Paid parking
Review 53:Proximity to Delf Centrum Cormfortable and spacious room Room very clean
Review 54:The location is good, especially if you want to visit both the university and old town. The hotel also has an area to store your bike. Quiet street. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 55:As others have said, there is NO parking. You can park across the road but it is expensive. Free parking on Sunday. We parked 5 mins walk away at the University.
Review 56:Tidy hotel. Good size room and Dutch TV was mostly in English...only watched Match of the Day though! We were on ground floor with a view of the terrace...assume that might be a bit noisy in the crowded summer months?
Review 57:Advertised with Parking. There is NO onsite parking. Advised to drive down the road and park somewhere else. Where I "hopefully" wont get a ticket.
Review 58:Friendly & attentive staff. Good breakfast.
Review 59:Hardly anything. Maybe that one has to get the key before 11 PM, often meaning much earlier.
Review 60:The friendliness of the staff, the location close to my destination and the price.
Review 61:Bathroom could do with a better clean (although more than decent)
Review 62:Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and comfortable. Handy for university which is 10 min. walk and fairly near to the station.
Review 63:they close the doors at 2300, must remember to take the key with you!
Review 64:excellent location near TU Delft, not far from downtown either. nice stuff, good breakfast incuded. very quiet, peacful neighborhood.
Review 65:I made a reservation on two person’s room and I had child around 3 years old during this visit. However, the front desk did’t make any inquires about this and they have written that i have child also in the reservation. When we were on the breakfast room, the woman who was on the hotel made a big noise in front of other guest about we are using two person’s room for three people (for my 3 years old child). I didn’t know the rules or regulations, and it was an embarrassing situation for me. So I think the staff was rude and they don’t know how to talk to people on those situations.
Review 66:Slightly outside the centre but only a 5 minute walk away. We had a large room overlooking the garden, very comfortable & good value for the price. Also a good breakfast
Review 67:Staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, Biker friendly Hotel, free parking outside main door after staff phoned local authorities. Hotel spotlessly clean & the food was excellent. 10 min walk from Delft Center. Plenty of Bars & Restaurants, excellent place to visit.
Review 68:- comfy and spacious room for 3 persons - within easy distance from the city center - the university area is about 200 meters away where parking is free of charge - garden with a nice ambience
Review 69:1. Small room as same as other hotels in Netherlands
Review 70:1. Friendly and kind staffs2. located in a housing complex (very tranquil at night) 3. close to TU Delft
Review 71:Nothing
Review 72:A cosy old hotel with easy parking and good service. The breakfast wasgood, nice with old typically Dutch furniture and Delft Blue ornaments.Juliana, the former Princess and Queen was visible everywhere with niceportraits.
Review 73:The staff was very friendly. Room was clean & a good size for three adults. I would stay there again. Also, breakfast was very nice & relaxing. There is a cute garden you can sit in out back.
Review 74:Nothing for us
Review 75:Good location (10-15 min walk from the city center), friendly and kind staff, good buffet breakfast. The bathroom is spacious and clean. They provide towels and soap.
Review 76:The shortcomings are:small rooms, no small fridge in the rooms and not air condoning so be carful if you are visiting in a hot day like me :(. room service is limited and the location is a bit far from the centre, looking to the price you could find better hotels with the same cost.
Review 77:If the main thing in your trip is visiting the University of Delft, this could be best option. About 4 mints walking to theArchitecture building.Bed was comfortable and room was clean in general. Small flat screen and an internet connection 'not that fast'. The breakfast was standard, it was bead, cheese, jam, cereal with milk or yogurt, and boiled eggs. They have very good coffee served with breakfast.
Review 78:Steep, narrow stairs up to bedroom. might be difficult for people with mobility problems.
Review 79:Friendly welcome on arrival. Staff very helpful. Car parking easy (Staff did this for us.) Breakfast, plenty of choice & good quality. delightful breakfast room in a conservatory. Good sized bedroom. Very close to city centre & places of interest. would stay again.
Review 80:Breakfast was samely. Steep stairs, uncomfortable for carrying suitcases.
Review 81:Very nice atmosphere, friendly personnel. Very close to university and 10 minutes walk to the city centre
Review 82:A little faded around the edges. The reception closes at 11pm, so remember your key and don't expect any calls after this time.
Review 83:Good location (between Delft Technical University and the old town centre), helpful staff and clean (especially bathrooms). Has a nice garden space for use (in summer). Situated on a quiet street.
Review 84:A long walk from the city center, two single beds for a couple, bed mattresses too soft. Lack of espresso coffee, lack of toaster to toast bread.
Review 85:Close to the university where my conference was. Quiet neighborhood. Good breakfast.
Review 86:Require a large key ring and key however this is to be expected for afacility of this age.
Review 87:This was a quaint old hotel. It was kept, however, in very good repair. It wasn't far from the Delft market square. We had lots of space in ourroom and all enjoyed watching the birds coming and going out of thelittle birdhouses just outside in the garden. The breakfast buffet was delicious! The staff helpful and friendly. The set up was much like a bed and breakfast. The diningroom was warm and inviting. The coffee was brought to us at the table.
Review 88:No air-con (during a heat wave it was far too hot in room) and no fans(except the one in reception).Breakfast was rather poor: bread but no toaster, no fresh fruit, cheap yogurts, coffee a little tasteless and in pots that leaked when you poured.
Review 89:It was reasonably near the business venue
Review 90:Very friendly and cosy hotel with very helpful host and staff. Rich breakfast and nice spacious room for reasonable price in Dutch terms. Walking distance to the university as well as to the centre. If you stay for more than a night you feel home for which I would like to thank once more.
Review 91:Good location (10-15 min walk from the city centre), friendly and kind staff, good buffet breakfast. There is a bike parking in the back yard. They welcome you providing maps and tips on the city. They also have information in other languages than English. They gave us a better room than the expected at the same price. It was clean and spacious, with a kitchen and furniture. The bathroom is also spacious and clean. They provide towels and soap.
Review 92:Breakfast was a bit of a let down; supermarket bread, long life yogurts, tinned fruit.
Review 93:Quiet location, family run hotel. Kettle in room for tea/coffee.
Review 94:The staff were absoultely delightful and very helpful.Free on-street parking is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The old city centre is about ten minutes' walk. Nice, clean ground floor family-sized room and bathroom.
Review 95:Faded, outdated appearance of rooms.
Review 96:Very helpful and friendly receptionists, the only hotel staff on this stay to assist taking luggage upstairs to our triple room as no lift. Easy walking distance into the old town of Delft. Whilst no on site parking, overnight parking nearby is free, the location of other parking which is free all day is 200yds away.
Review 97:Very, very small cups with the in-room tea & coffee. Had to crawl on thefloor to plug in the kettle. No other facilities; quite expensive forfairly basic accommodation.
Review 98:Very friendly. Comfortable beds. Great shower. Wi-Fi worked well. Veryconvenient for tu Delft.
Review 99:The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Conveniently located. They have an iron and ironing board that can be borrowed.
Review 100:Clean and reliable and safe place to leave bags and bike.
Review 101:The breakfast is always the same.
Review 102:The hospitality of the staff
Review 103:far from the center
Review 104:close to TU University
Review 105:The staff,location and breakfast.
Review 106:Everything :)
Review 107:Room was very small - specially bathroom and breakfast was very poor.
Review 108:Hospitality - Staff was very friendly and Hotel was clean.
Review 109:nice, small and clean hotel nearby the citycentre ( 5 min.)
Review 110:The lack of onsite parking.
Review 111:The spacious staircase! The charm of an old building. The helpfulness of the staff.
Review 112:Staff very friendly staff. Close to lovely Delft. Fair breakfast.
Review 113:Only cold breakfast buffet. Warm soup would have been nice.
Review 114:It was really clean, peaceful and comfortable and good service.
Review 115:My kids were pleased with the facilities.
Review 116:No Parking
Review 117:The quietness
