Reviews for Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel
Review 1:Nothing we didn't like , we had a great time however for the price you would expect in the bedroom all the toys you get in a 5 stars boutique hotel. TV, Mini Bar, Tea Coffee facility, Music player or dock station + strong wifi...
Review 2:The fire place in the bedroom. The decoration, the ambience. Food was delicious and the staff superbe.
Review 3:Nothing. Great for nature lovers. Heaps of birds and flowers to look at and enjoy. Nice buffet breakfast and 3 course dinner included in tariff. Jorge in dining room wonderfully helpful.
Review 4:Great location just above the MP railway station. Hotel porters help carry your luggage straight to your room. Marvellous natural bush and garden surroundings.
Review 5:Food was mediocre and sometimes not fresh. Wines and cocktails were horribly overpriced. Sauna just does not work.
Review 6:The location, and the land on property, friendliness of the staff. Particularly enjoyed the bird watching tour.
Review 7:What a wonderful hotel! Great food, excellent service and an intimate, lush setting. Well worth spending a few extra days here just to enjoy the location
Review 8:The orchids, the birds, the sound of the waterfall all combine to make this an idyllic property. I had a lovely walk with their resident Eco guide after we returned from the mountain and then a relaxing soak in the hot tub. We loved the romantic cabin-like room with herbal soaps and lotions!
Review 9:Besides the mediocre food on Easter evening (was the chef not there?), the noise was so loud in the dining room both nights that it was impossible to relax and enjoy oneself. The staff kindly set up a table in the bar, but the other people there spoke very loudly, so it was still impossible to enjoy the evening. I had no such problem on my previous two stays at this hotel, but those stays were during the off-season and there were many fewer people. Further, I preferred their former way of receiving guests where someone sat down with you, offered you a welcome drink and in a relaxed manner went over all the procedures with you.
Review 10:The property is stunning--small casitas located throughout the front part of the property--with 360 native orchid plants located throughout the cloud forest. The dinner our first night was wonderful (the Saturday before Easter); the dinner Easter evening was mediocre at best. The staff is very charming and helpful! Carlos at the reception was particularly great! Loved the Eco orchid and mystery tours with Rosa!
Review 11:We could not use an outdoor balcony because of heavy, sooty smoke from the fireplace downstairs. We were cold in the bedroom, except when in bed, and one tiny electric heater did not warm the room at night. Lighting was poor for reading.
Review 12:Natural environment, spacious room and bathroom.
Review 13:The hotel Needs an extensive facelift. The bathroom And shower need updating. The staff need to be trained. The food was not good. It is a very expensive all inclusive Hotel that is not worth what you pay for!!!!
Review 14:The setting was peaceful and perfectly in tune with the natural surroundings. We stayed two nights while visiting Machu Picchu and wished we had stayed longer so as to take advantage of all that the property has to offer.
Review 15:Absolutely everything about Inkaterra exceeded our expectations. The staff is warm and incredibly attentive, our room was absolutely beautifu, and the grounds were just breathtaking! The spa services were also excellent. We could not have been more pleased. We left pieces of our hearts at here.
Review 16:- the dinner in the restaurant is not that great. The food in the cafe is much better
Review 17:-We have been there with our young son and we got a free ugrade to a suite! - The tours from the staff are realy nice
Review 18:The food and the wine list. The wine list was appalling, the food mediocre.
Review 19:Everything! The rooms are spectacular as are the grounds. The service was impeccable, the staff attentive and kind.
Review 20:Great staff, very comfortable large rooms, on the edge of the village, quiet, good restaurant and bar. Overall just a peaceful lovely place to stay when you want to be near Machu Pichu and stay away from the crowds in the village. The early morning tours get you up to the ruins before the crowds descend on it later in the day. We booked one of the day tour guides from the hotel. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a fun day visiting Machu Pichu. Spa was excellent too.
Review 21:Wood was wet, fire didn't stay lit, there were no instructions on the confirmation about getting luggage up to the hotel.
Review 22:Aesthetic, Eco boost, food, fireplace
Review 23:Our room was located right beside the railroad track which meant we were woken from our deep sleep when the trains came through - this in spite of the fact that our room was $700 per night!!!
Review 24:Loved the location and surroundings!
Review 25:The food at the restaurant was among the best we had in Peru. The location was perfect, close proximity to Machu Picchu but without the crowds and surrounded by natural beauty (orchids and birds). The people were so friendly and helpful, especially Wiler. Oh, and the hot water bottles were a great treat for the cool nights. Thank you.
Review 26:Everything, Our room had a beautiful view and in the middle of the forest , the food, the staff, the place is magical. The chocolate they live in our room, and the bag with hot water to make our bed warm , I never seen that before.
Review 27:Staff were borderline rude and exhausted and rude. Hotel is primarily a tour group factory and buying room at the rack rate was a complete rip off
Review 28:Excellent location
Review 29:Great location for going to Macchu Pichu ( close to train station, restaurants, market and bus stop to Macchu Pichu). In a very lush, green and relaxing setting. I had a one bedroom casita with fire place. Fire place came very handy as it gets cold at night ( was there in June). Plus it adds to the ambiance. My dinner was included in the rate. The food at the restaurant was very good. Internet only worked in common area as indicated by staff at check in. Nice views from common areas outside. Lovely hotel.

Review 43:The property is incredibly beautiful, rooms were unique and well appointed, and the meals (breakfast and dinner were included) were gourmet quality.
Review 44:Hiking Machu Picchu in the morning and having Pisco Sours in the hot tub in the afternoon is worth the stay alone. Great staff, beautiful grounds and delicious food round out an incredible stay.
Review 45:Spending a lot of money per day to stay at Inkaterra - It is really expensive.

Review 47:The spa was very good and we really enjoyed the hot pools to relax in after Machu Picchu. The staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed the garden/orchid tour. The food was delicious and we loved our stay there
Review 48:If you have an additional child expect to pay an additional $170 a nighton top of the $544 for double occupancy. Just not worth that much.
Review 49:Very convenient location
Review 50:The locations, the decoration and ambience, the details, the quality of the accommodations, tours/information, food, and the respectful approach o nature and culture.
Review 51:This is really not a big deal, but I surprised that there wasn't a body lotion in the bathroom. For such a high-end hotel, I thought it was a strange omission.
Review 52:It was absolutely amazing! Loved everything about it!!
Review 53:When we arrived there was a confusion on my reservation. It was a little bit too long before it was clarified.
