Review 1：The bed cover blanket looked a bit tired, if you replace it, it would give a room fresh look. There were no brosures in the room about hotel facilities and sightseeing. Also: the staircase and landings looked too empty - put some flowers or decorations there, otherwise the atmosphere seems a bit dull. Some weird smell in sauna (came from heating stones prbly)
Review 2：Very good location - everything in walking distance (Eesti sangarite monument; old castle and church). Staff very friendly, gave us a room with best view possible (over the park, Gauja valley) and let us check in 2 hours earlier. A decent hot sauna for viking nations.
Review 3：Hotel placed in the centre of the city max 5 minutes away from the concert hall and city castle. Rooms are not very spacious, but very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast is limited in choice, but everything available is very tasty and fresh. Possibilities for dinner are right next door till 23.00. Personnel is fantastic. Overall feeling is very positive!

Review 16：We booked 3 rooms for July 2015 back in November 2014, and they couldn't manage to have them next to one another, despite we had asked to. Staff is little bit 'stiff'. We had rooms on the top floor and these are definitely not the best ones. Hotel is clean, but old. Breakfast was good. Nothing more.
Review 17：Good location, but in fact, Cesis is not a fantastic location. Apart from walking around, there was nothing much alive' on a weekday in July.... Lucky that we spent only one night there...

Review 29：The hotel is in the city center near most of the attractions and just a few minutes away from the coach and train station, they also offer free public parking. We found it convenient that there were two restaurants in the hotel building, so it was easy to eat without searching a place for too long.

Review 32：Quite worn out room (303), instead of ordered double bed we got room with twin bed - 2 single beds simply put together each with its own bedding. Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. Poor shower. Breakfast. I could not say the choice was poor but the food was flat. Orange juice was made of hell knows what. It was hard to put together restaurant atmosphere with "sardeles" (only hot "meat" available) though the funny thing was that it was most tasty of all foods :) Ok, and pancakes were good! After all, if you wish, you can leave brakfast with full stomach in this place.

Review 36：My single room (206) was small and tired and in need of refurbishment. (if you're a single traveller probably better to pay the extra and stay in a double room). Stains on carpet in the hallway were off-putting. The TV picture was feint and pillow tiny.
Review 37：The hotel was very calm and atmospheric - surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast and breakfast room were both great. Hotel felt very safe. The cafe downstairs is cosy and the pizza is good. There aren't a lot of places to eat out in Cesis and the hotel restaurant always seems to be full so best to head downstairs!
Review 38：The carpet in the corridor needs changing and some re-decoration is needed; hotel looking a bit worn in places. Couldn't eat in the hotel restaurant on either night we stayed, because it was booked out, though we enjoyed the bar downstairs, which sold good pizzas. The room was big enough to put an extra bed in, but I wasn't able to book just 1 room for the three of us on Booking.com website, which I think should be changed for other families, or perhaps it is worth contacting the hotel directly next time.

Our room was spacious, had nice views and was very comfortable, with a big modern bathroom and plenty of hot water.The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served in a lovely room. The reception staff were welcoming and generally helpful. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to return.

Review 42：Location, you walk around the garden and pond, cross the street and your are infront of Cēcis castle. The hotel is lovely furnished in a style that fits its early 1900'charm. The complimentary breakfast was good and had a variety of food. I will stay here again!

Review 45：I have stayed in this hotel several times before, unfortunately thistime I was very disappointed. Our room was located on the top floor,previously I stayed only on the first floor and that was totallydifferent. Our room was really small, as well as the window, alsothere was no table in the room simply because there was no space forit. One of the walls in the room was scratched and had black stains onit. Also it was impossible to open the curtain because somehow it wasfixed in one "closed" position. And last but not least,pillows were very small and uncomfortable. So if you decided to stayat this hotel, I would suggest you to request a room that is notlocated on the top floor.

Review 117：A real hotel from year 1938 with excellent location in the city center. Friendly personnel and everything goes smoothly. Also have to mention the truly excellent restaurant on the reception floor (there is also a nice pub downstairs). The breakfast is really good, too!
Review 118：The building shows its age and lack of maintenance. 1970's era TV the size of an iPad. Dangerously slippery bathroom floor. Over-bath shower old and unusable. Rubber eggs for breakfast. Noise from the store room next to our room and from workers outside and the nearby cafe, from 0600 - 2400. No laundry facilities for guests, paid or otherwise.
Review 119：Location is excellent, being close to parks, the castle, the Old Town and the city centre. The building includes a very reasonable cafe/restaurant as well as the formal restaurant upstairs. Our evening meal in the formal dining room was excellent, although as is too common in Latvia, getting attention from the staff is not easy. Staff allocated us a ground floor room when they were told that arthritis makes it close to impossible for my wife to climb to the third floor.
