Reviews for Hotel Urban Brisbane

Review 1:Major disco seemed to start up about 3am - very uncomfortable

Review 2:For some reason, we were up grade, which was lovely. We were only a short walk into town.

Review 3:The floor lamp wasn't working; the radio clock had to be fiddled around with before it worked; there was a hair in the shower; there was a half-eaten open packet of chips in thr bedside table drawer; the minibar price list wasn't in the room; I put my order for room service breakfast outside my room before the specifed time and it was not collected and thus I got my breakfast late as I had to reorder it in the morning - nearly making me late for checkout.

Review 4:Lovely staff with comfortable rooms and excellent location.

Review 5:The room was good but really only for a business person as there were not enough chairs to sit on Including armchairs.

Review 6:It was near to parks etc and quiet

Review 7:I have stayed many times and believe it gives the best value for money. The staff is very friendly and have a professional working attitude. The rooms are always clean and the restaurant meals are of high quality.I have always recommended the Urban Hotel to others.

Review 8:I have stayed before, but this time the weather was very hot and my room was not comfortable. When I first entered the room temp was 24.6 degrees. After setting it to 20 degrees, it was still 23.5, 12 hours later. Would suggest cleaning staff leave air-con on 22 degrees running ready for next guest to adjust to their comfort if arriving the same day.

Review 9:The friendly and happy staff including the breakfast crew, made me fell very welcome

Review 10:We actually stayed on two different nights in two different rooms. In one room the shower was over the bath so they'd angled the shower head towards the wall to avoid splashes. Unfortunately this meant you had to hug the wall to get under the water flow.

Review 11:Large and comfortable bed. Shower had good pressure and temperature. We had a couple of things from the night room service menu and they were tasty. The portions were massive though, even the salad could easily have fed two people.

Review 12:Nil

Review 13:Loved the location, and the brilliant cheerful staff :D Nothing was a burden to them ... When assistance was required !!! I Recommend ANYONE to stay there !!

Review 14:car park was tricky, but parking was inexpensive.

Review 15:Very friendly and helpful staff, Relaxed atmosphere. Felt like home from home. Walking distance to city centre and river. Quiet and peaceful part of the city overlooking the park

Review 16:Dreadful car park: the worst I have ever encountered. columns don't allow space to manoeuvre...poor access into and from reception

Review 17:very comfortable bed

Review 18:None

Review 19:Great vibe in hotel lounge areas. Great staff, so helpful. Great food. Cleaning staff falling over one another to go out of their way to help. only a few minutes walk to the CBD or 2 minutes to station for quick trip to Southbank.

Review 20:We decided to have a drink outside in the verandah area. After our function. Told they were closing and many people were lining up for drinks Very unprofessional attitude, and no Tia Maria for night caps. Grumpy people!!!

Review 21:The car park is horrendous.

Review 22:Apart from the car parking everything was wonderful. The Thai Beef Salad was delicious. All staff were friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Review 23:I am a member of Hotel Urban and was told $160 per night best deal. So booked through booking.com the next day I got a text message from them (day of booking) that $119.00 per night.

Review 24:Friendly staff, (what a lovely man Malcom was, made you feel right at home) large rooms and beds. Great little bar and good brekky. My second stay here. Won't be staying anywhere else when I visit the city from now on.

Review 25:i didn't like the restaurant. staff were less than friendly/helpful & cleanlinessssss there could be improved.

Review 26:Check in staff member & our room.

Review 27:The food that was ordered from room service for both dinner and breakfast was cold. The nachos that I ordered for dinner tasted like they had chili in it which was not mentioned in the description and I don't like chili. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible for putting on make up and I am glad I was attending a work function and not a wedding as I found later my make up was terrible.

Review 28:It locates in a mountain top, which is not easy for walking to the hotel. The wifi speed is slow. 地理位置在山顶上,走路去旅馆很累~ wifi速度太差

Review 29:The hotel facilities are very good. The reception staff are very nice. 酒店设施很好,前台接待的员工很棒!

Review 30:My wife checked in while I was at a meeting. Unfortunately there was no one to help her with our luggage and when she asked was told she would have to bring it in herself.

Review 31:If you do not enjoy your stay at this hotel you must be very hard to please.

Review 32:Staff very friendly and helpful Very central and we loved the large balcony. Room was immaculate.

Review 33:At breakfast on the weekend was a buffet. $20 continental or $30 cooked. My partner only had 1 cup of coffee & I piece of toast. we were charged $20 for her to have 1 cup of coffee & 1 piece of toast. Ridiculous!!!!, this needs to be addressed.

Review 34:The parking is awful. There is very limited room to manoeuvre even a smallish car. Buffet breakfast on weekend is pretty basic for the cost. Wine glasses from previous patrons left in bathroom basin, unwashed.

Review 35:Lovely rooms, comfy beds. Weekday a la carte breakfast is much better than buffet breakfast on weekends. Outdoor bar seating area is great. Love the reception/lounge area, gorgeous.

Review 36:Did not like the Breakfast slow service and the eggs tasted like they where cooked in vinegar.Only had one breakfast had the rest in the city.

Review 37:Great location to the City and station. The room was well appointed and clean

Review 38:Gym is very small but adequate if you use at non busy times. Staff can either be extremely helpful or average it would be great to get consistency in the service as I have stayed here many times.

Review 39:location

Review 40:Pool area was a bit disappointing - cheap, rather uncomfortable loungers.

Review 41:Fresh decor, staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant good. Location perfect - walking distance to all main parts of Brisbane CBD

Review 42:- I called to book parking and was told there was no need. So when I got there they said they had no parks. So I had to park in the street and renew the meter every few hours. -concierge was rude and unhelpful with the above issue. Also no one came to help with the bags, and due to the location of the park we had to carry multiple bags and suit bags back and forth from the street. And then up a few stairs to make its bit more interesting. -lastly, the bathroom was not clean at all and there were clothes from the previous guest still on the floor

Review 43:The location

Review 44:Poor coffee.

Review 45:Fresh lillies everywhere. Very relaxed wining and dining outdoor setting. Super staff.Good location far enough away from the CBD but not too far.

Review 46:Had to pay up front so had to make 2 transactions for extras aswell at checkout. Charged credit card fee. Bar stopped serving food too early. No lifts from carpark or not clearly indicated.

Review 47:Comforr

Review 48:The view was great, the bed was great, the service was great, the room was great. Everything was just great!! Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Review 49:How come the WIFI fee isnt included in this modern day. and the breakfast was way overcharged, cant figure out the logic of the extreme price for those foods.

Review 50:Overall its perfect of the location. comfy room, nice staffs.

Review 51:Price of beer and wine and breakfast bit extreme . parking !!!! And exit confusing and a little scary.

Review 52:Comfy beds ,nice decor ,great position ,nice bar and friendly down to earth staff.

Review 53:The room was very small. Shower was kinda dirty (mouldy and the tap was rusty and broken). Would have loved a bath. Definitely think a "self serviced apartment" will suit me better next time.

Review 54:The staff were very friendly. Comfy bed which was made every time we went out and fresh towels. Value for money

Review 55:Hidden gem in Brisbane. Close to everything, great room rates, on site secure parking, friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Couldn't have asked for a better room for our two night stay in Brisbane. Will use again.

Review 56:Can't think of anything! All good.

Review 57:A lovely comfortable hotel to explore Brisbane from. Very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. A nice little balcony with a good view.

Review 58:TV disappointing. Went to Bris for the tennis and couldn't view any of it in our room. Very poor. Balcony water didn't drain away.

Review 59:The room was great. Comfortable bed, plenty of space in the room

Review 60:I was disappointed with the television and reception of the television. The carpark is also tiny and maneuvering was difficult. The bed was advertised as a king yet the rooms bed was the smallest king I have ever seen. there were also dirt on one towel but a replacement was provided. The WIFI was also useless.

Review 61:Incredibly friendly staff that were more than happy to answer every rookie question I had. Fantastic location. The Restaurant has some of the best Nachos I have ever eaten.

Review 62:Stale smoke smell in room, most likely comes through air con vents.

Review 63:Funky decor & new clean bathrooms. Bed was super comforta & room was dark & quiet.

Review 64:A minor thing: As there is no fan in the bathroom, it would have been good to have had some airfreshener in the toilet/bathroom.

Review 65:There was a mistake with our booking which the staff member we dealt with (we arrived about 1.30pm on 18 Jan) quickly sorted out, with no fuss. Everything else was what would be expected of this class of hotel. I appreciated not having to pay for some minor items form the food/beverages in the room.

Review 66:Mouldy shower, big pile of towels left outside hotel room on corridor floor (this was fixed quickly when we advised the staff on reception)

Review 67:Location was great, staff friendly, room quite modern and suited our needs well

Review 68:The ducted air con in the room a bit noisy (it is an old building) Still, on a 36 degree "Brisbane Summer" day it was heaven!

Review 69:Brisbane retro landmark hotel Gazebo stylish refurb open clean contemporary feel splashes of colour and wit. Great staff. Great value. Relaxed vibe.

Review 70:Would recommend to take a small car as car parking is a lil tight.

Review 71:Got a great deal on room, we had room service dinner and breakfast meals were great... defiantly recommend if you need to stay close to Brisbane private hospital.

Review 72:The pillows!! Lol the bed was super comfy staff were lovely coffee was excellent didn't find out till after we left that you could buy the pillows so would of got a few

Review 73:Mini bar was not restocked from the previous people that stayed there. In formed reception and they did offer to refill it but I advised them it was not necessary. The toilet also leaked making the tiles somewhat slippery in the bathroom. Staff very friendly and approachable though great location .

Review 74:The bed the view

Review 75:Our carpet was damp and the shower had a mouldy smell. Housekeeping kept knocking on our door at 9am even though our checkout time wasn't until 11am.

Review 76:Liked how dark the room was when the curtains were closed.

Review 77:Bathroom was very tiny. Water leaked under the shower door onto the floor outside the shower so had a puddle to step into when getting out.

Review 78:Everything else.

Review 79:The car park is a bit squeezy but was made worse by hopeless drivers/parking.

Review 80:Location was handy to city and nearby medical services which was the purpose of the trip all made easier by the hotels facilities. The Gazebo restaurant downstairs has great ambiance, great staff -esp Ashley who made us feel so comfortable. We had intended to go out for a night but heavy rain made us stop for a drink at the bar downstairs - we didn't go anywhere else -food was really good esp gluten free.

Review 81:No toilet brush only one gown & slippers when the room was for two people parking was an extra fee and was very hard to monerve, wifi was not free.

Review 82:The bed was amazing, good size room the staff were friendly large verandah, the gown & slippers ( but there was only one) good security.

Review 83:Took twenty minutes to check in as arrived at same time as a function staying the night. Not sure what could be changed to prevent that

Review 84:Location Quietness Bed was very comfortable

Review 85:A la carte breakfast downstairs was atrocious!! Took over 45 mins with 2 other people in the restaurant, the urban breakfast I ordered wasn't good. No butter for toast mushrooms were hard and shrivelled. Eggs were way over cooked! I was cranky I paid $42 for horible food!

Review 86:Bed and the room were great

Review 87:Parking - easily worst carpark ever. Urban even recognise this. $15 not great. Thin walls - lots of noise. Room advertised as a $539 room discounted to $195. Very misleading - no way was this room any different to the others...$539?? Are you kidding??

Review 88:King bed was great! Great comfort. Buffet Breakfast - Great - $30 a bit steep.

Review 89:The hotel was recommended for it's position and views. The position was great but I was on level 1 on the back side so no view from the balcony, this was a disappointment.

Review 90:I liked the restaurant and quality of the menu.

Review 91:Of course, the car park...watch those yellow pillars - but they do warn you. The pool area is good but we went there in the afternoon - no sun and water very cold...that's not a dislike though as the kids loved it.

Review 92:Staff were excellent, extremely helpful and the location is fantastic. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel are also great. Would recommend this hotel and will visit again.

Review 93:The only concern is the car parking and difficulty in manouevering into car parks.

Review 94:Good location, beautiful decor and comfortable beds. Lovely verandah bar.

Review 95:The mini bar didn't get restocked. Nothing major though.

Review 96:Loved the balcony size staying on the 4th floor, great view. Bed was great, as well as the bathroom, very modern. Would definitely come back.

Review 97:Great location. Walking distance from 2 rail stations and Queen Street Mall. Parklands opposite provide a little bit of tranquillity in the city. Staff friendly and accommodating. Clean and quiet.

Review 98:Not horrible, just a pretty average experience overall. No AC while we were there and no compensation offered. Staff seemed pretty blah.

Review 99:Handy Location

Review 100:Hotel's cafe/restaurant did not cater well for myself and a visiting friend i.e. we were informed of 40min wait for Monday night dinner - room service was good however meal rated average & glass of pinot noir was questionable - 1st floor rooms look straight onto bare courtyard and air ducts

Review 101:Nice outlook across Albert or Wickham Park & CBD if you manage to secure a room above Level 2 - Spring Hill FREE loop bus connecting to CBD at front door - convenient walk to a few cute cafes e.g. Sisco's on Boundary Street

Review 102:All of it

Review 103:Carpark was very tight and difficult to manoeuvre

Review 104:Location, comfort of rooms, views and staff friendliness

Review 105:Service, location & cleanliness.

Review 106:Very clean and tidy! Staff very friendly! Overall fantastic service with a smile!

Review 107:car parking was poor { lack of parking spaces }

Review 108:Great location. Efficient staff.

Review 109:Nothing

Review 110:Everything was excellent

Review 111:Tight car park

Review 112:Great location next to Roma Parkland :-) and only a little stroll to shops.

Review 113:Rooms need microwave and toaster Maybe layout overview

Review 114:Love the lillies and the decor. Beds were lovely and soft

Review 115:No bad experiences

Review 116:Purpose of stay was to be near BPH for husband's surgery and overnight stay. Hotel was chosen solely for its location close by

Review 117:Check out not enough staff 20 minutes i had to wait and no menue in the room

Review 118:Check in to slow

Review 119:close to city.. pleasant welcome by staff... Restrauant on premises.

Review 120:Room service prices were expensive and restaurant choices were somewhat limited

Review 121:Breakfast was fairly limited.

Review 122:The comfy bed.

Review 123:N/A

Review 124:Always stay here. Luv it!

Review 125:At breakfast the dishes were not kept full and the coffee machine wasn't working, with staff just standing around.

Review 126:Close to main CBD

Review 127:Quiet room & comfortable beds

Review 128:none

Review 129:Comfortable rooms & beautiful location sitting at restaurant looking over the park

Review 130:The beds and pillows were amazing
