Reviews for Hotel Bridges House Delft

Review 1:Couldn't get the heater to work, but I didn't bother to ask either.

Review 2:Good location in center of Delft. Clean room and bathroom and a decent breakfast. Staff was very helpful.

Review 3:the deb covers were dirty but they did not change them. TYhe secind day we left the room late (13:00) and they did not clean the room the rest of the day

Review 4:I was staying in one of the apartments on Koornmarkt. Everything was great: large well furnished living room, high ceiling, ok kitchen, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, calm and peaceful.

Review 5:Not one complaint!

Review 6:We had a wonderful two night stay here. It was an easy 5 minute walk from the station and right in the center of town. The staff were all friendly and professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a nice variety of good quality food at breakfast. We would absolutely stay here again if visiting the beautiful city of Delft.

Review 7:Noise in the night from students on the streets. Shower with very tiny water stream. Room could use some decoration.

Review 8:Price, breakfast, centrally located in the heart of Delft

Review 9:We must have been given the last and worst room in the hotel. Third floor with no lift and stairs that were like ladders! Not easy to get up to or down from if you've got two heavy suitcases!! The room was cold and we had to beg the receptionist for the a/c controller. ("It's not cold yet", "yes it is up here on the third floor!")

Review 10:Location. Very close to the centre of town.

Review 11:very noisy during the night - one can her people in the street till 3-4am. No lift and narrow stairs to get up on the upper floors - inconvenient to do so with suitcases.

Review 12:large room, friendly staff, central location, small and private hotel

Review 13:The room above ours was very loud. The noise level depended on the guest, of course.

Review 14:Clean, staff super accommodating, nicely decorated great location.

Review 15:Not a bad experience but didn't like the isolation from the main hotel.

Review 16:Very handy for town centre, market square, shops etc. My room was surprisingly a large studio apartment with a kitchen in a separate building from the main hotel. Great views of the canal.

Review 17:The location was great. We easily walked to the train and tram. Room was on the 3rd floor and the last flight up while it didn't have so many stairs it had very narrow stairs. Had a view of the canal which was pleasant. TV had many channels. Breakfast was okay, seemed to have less choices each morning though. Bed was comfortable. A/C worked when we needed it. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Review 18:Nothing.

Review 19:A very pleasant location, coupled with the fact that the studio apartment (rented from the adjacent hotel and picking up the keys from there) was large and comfortable.

Review 20:Not easy to get to by car, but then a great location once you have parked!

Review 21:Really nice small hotel with friendly staff and good selection for breakfast.

Review 22:The double bed was two single beds put together.

Review 23:Well located, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station but in the historical centre. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom was also roomy and clean. The breakfast was good, freshly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs, with cheese, cold meats and fresh bread.

Review 24:Nothing bad to say about our visit or the town.

Review 25:The Town and the Hotel exceeded our expections. The location was good, accommodation roomy and very clean with the staff being very helpful and friendly. We were very impressed with Delft being a typically old canal riddled Dutch town; small yet bustling with lots of bars and restaurants. Our visit coincided with the annual jazz festival which provided a variety of free music at various easily accessible locations which added a great atmosphere throughout our visit.

Review 26:Spacious rooms, lovely bathrooms, super comfortable beds. Drinks and coffee patois right outside but still quiet enough outside. Level parking by train station is close but not great with extra luggage. Narrow stairs up to rooms which adds character but difficult for some perhaps. Would def stay there again!

Review 27:Pretty much nothing. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some bigger hotels, but was very true to its own style.

Review 28:Very friendly Staff, great atmosphere. Great location. Great flair.

Review 29:Stairs

Review 30:Staff were really good , considerate and helpful in all regards , good beds steep stairs , good bathroom but only shower over bath which is a steep step in or out good ac

Review 31:Booking.com said their was air conditioning but there was not it was very hot one day.

Review 32:Great place to stay in delft. Loved the room, location, and the breakfast.

Review 33:The stairs to our third floor room were very steep and there is no elevator. Luckily we didn't have much luggage to carry up and down. The lights in the stairwell within our room flashed on and off in the middle of the night - possibly triggered by the arrival of other guests on the floors below. We really did worry about how to escape in the event of a fire. The only way out was down the narrow staircase to the main door. No other emergency exit was provided.

Review 34:A very spacious room with lovely view of the canal. Newly decorated and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Pretty breakfast room and a good selection of food at breakfast.

Review 35:Extremely professional and friendly staff. All problems were solved immediately and exceeding expectations. Cosy and comfortable room. Convenient bathroom. Very good breakfast. Excellent location in the center of Delft. 5 minutes walk to tram or the underground train station so you can easily reach Haag and other cities.

Review 36:N/A

Review 37:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very close to the center of Delft, and we were able to walk everywhere. We would definitely stay there again!

Review 38:No free parking nearer than a 15minute walk away. Unloading and loading the car required someone to stay with the car in a residence only or disabled space and the other to do all the coming, going and humping; it would have been difficult for someone on their own to manage.

Review 39:Convenience and facilities of appartment in the heart of old delft and just 2mins from the markt.

Review 40:Staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had a small terrace which was lovely. The location is very convenient for the station and in a lovely neighbourhood.

Review 41:Steep stairway, but the owner carried our luggage up and down for us. So helpful!

Review 42:Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Enjoyed opening the three large windows, sitting on the couch, and watching the canal traffic. Good bed, pillows, and bedding. Nice, new bathroom.

Review 43:Had a lovely few days back in Delft where we use to live.We stayed at the Bridges House Hotel located in a great area. The hotel was lovely very clean and tidy and the staff where very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was very nice with a good variety. We would highly recommend the hotel and will definatlly return in the future.

Review 44:There are no double windows on the street side and it can be very noisy at night with the people shouting around when leaving the bars. One of the two shutters also did not work.

Review 45:Very good location in Delft, and cosy place.

Review 46:Great location, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Although there isn't a lift the receptionist was more than happy to help people with their cases.

Review 47:If like me you are ambulant disabled the stairs are a problem.

Review 48:Excellent, friendly hotel with staff who go 'the extra mile'. Good location for the old town etc. we had a really pleasant suite.

Review 49:Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, few steps from the center. Although we booked a double room, they gave us a very spacious and bright suite with fully furnished kitchen.

Review 50:Cannot recall anything that we did not like. Sorry. Keep up the good work.

Review 51:The pleasant attitude of the staff and the location of the inn was exactly what we needed for our visit. Thanks for taking such great care of us.

Review 52:As reported before, the steps are steep. Going up to first floor the railing is made od a round pipe. To the second level, the hand railing is difficult to grasp. I would suggest that a better railing would be an improvement

Review 53:A great location along the oldest canal ion Delft. Many restaurants in the area. The underground parking is located close to the hotel. There are washcloths in the bathroom. One of staff took our luggage up to the second ( in US, third floor). That was great for us older customers.

Review 54:We came by car and you don't need a car in Delft. Everything interesting is within easy reach, there are trains to The Hague every few minutes and the car park we used was not particularly close to the hotel.

Review 55:We had a spacious room with a great view over the Oude Delft canal. We really felt part of the town. Lots of satisfactory rrestaurants and bars close by.

Review 56:nothing

Review 57:locate very center of delft, 7min walk to delft station, 3min walk to square market, nice breakfast, friendly staff, junior suit is very comfortable and quiet room.

Review 58:Staff should have explained that tea and coffee are available all day in the reception/breakfast area and that breakfast eggs and bacon can be cooked to order. Only learnt this from other reviews when we got home

Review 59:Good access to all attractions in Delft and close to the railway station

Review 60:Apart from the beauties of Delft, which are many, the apartment was excellent - spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, very central but very quiet - altogether brilliant!

Review 61:I liked the proximity to the train and tram, the view of the canal from my window, the excellent staff, the location to the town center. Also close to restaurants.

Review 62:the staff is great. very friendly and helpful. the hotel rooms are good and the location is perdect.. you get exactly what you expect from the amount you pay. definetly stay there if i visit Delft again.

Review 63:The breakfast was superb. It was made fresh every morning and absolutely delicious. The hotel is an easy walk to/from the train station. My room was the only one the main left, behind reception and adjacent to the kitchen. It was sometimes noisy in the morning, but didn't bother me much as I had to be up early each day.

Review 64:The room was a bit small... They forgot to switch on the heater before we arrived (so it was quite cold!)...

Review 65:Nicely furnished although a bit old-fashion. Perfectly situated near the train station in the very centre of Delft. A good breakfast...

Review 66:I stayed 2 nights in one of the studios, on Kroonmarkt. Very nice and comfortable place. Great living room, comfortable bed, fast WIFI, large TV, functional kitchenette, clean bathroom, central location. What else?

Review 67:Bad internet connection. The room I moved to was definitely too small, less then basic and not worth of the money I paid for.I also wish there was anything fresh( tomato, cucumber, salad for breakfast , as well.

Review 68:Friendly and helpful staff, The apartment was great worth of the value. Good location,

Review 69:It's close to the train station. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was perfect and the personnel is kind and polite. My room had a view to one of the city's church tower, which was lovely! It was one of my best experiences in a hotel in the Netherlands.

Review 70:staircase may be difficult for older people.....might be worth mentioning to avoid complaints

Review 71:great staff/lounge/wifi/location good space in room good breakfast good value for money

Review 72:Very steep stairs. I was on third floor which with two bags was quite a hike!

Review 73:Excellent breakfasts. Very pleasing breakfast area. Quaint and attractive

Review 74:Avoid room No1 in winter: it is very comfortable size but takes a while to warm up.

Review 75:Location in the old part of city, plenty of choice for dinner and drinks.

Review 76:Rooms large, bathroom excellent clean and very well furnished. Very good hot & cold breakfast. Location right on the canal, 5 min walk from the station.

Review 77:Nothing negative to say.

Review 78:Location was perfect and the hotel was lovely. Really friendly staff, good facilities and a really beautiful breakfast area. I will definitely return.

Review 79:The steepness of the stairs and the narrowness of some of their treads. One needed to be particularly wary when carrying anything.

Review 80:Friendliness of the staff and the relaxed atmosphere. The central location with easy access from public transport.

Review 81:Hotel is located in a really nice area, not too far from train station, close to the Old Church and still walking distance from the city hall and New Church.

Review 82:Nothing to not not like . .

Review 83:Excellent location for car-free ambling around the old town. Friendly staff and good service. Windows that actually open and heating that doesn't cook you. A very relaxing place to stay.

Review 84:They called me 21:00 to hear if I was on my way as the doors were closed at 22:00. I had not been aware of that. My flight was delayed but I got there on time thanks to the call. Super hotel

Review 85:1) The hotel required five (yes 5!) days notice for any cancellation or amendment. Most hotels offer 1 or 2 days max. When we needed to move our booking they were totally inflexible about this. I would not stay there again. Plans do change. 2) Dangerously narrow and confined main staircase, with very shallow steps and a risky sharp turn at the top. More suited to a loft conversion, not the main staircase of a hotel! Too dangerous when carrying bags.

Review 86:Location was very central. Room (a junior suite) was a good size.

Review 87:One day the room was not cleaned and we had to request help from the desk. No lift.

Review 88:Location was very convienient. Once the new train station is complete, it will be even better.

Review 89:More local information would have been good as we walked a long way to Delfft pottery well out of town. Also if you can't get up longnarrow stairs with your case it might not suit.

Review 90:Staff were nice and helpful room was clean and a nice bathroom.

Review 91:Rooms on the front are of course bound to be noisy so have rated quality of sleep as fair, but overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Review 92:Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location by the canal and bridge. Tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms.

Review 93:I did miss not having a kettle in the room for making a hot drink first thing in the morning and later in the evening after Reception had closed.

Review 94:All the staff at Bridges House Delft were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. My room was comfortable, breakfasts were a good start to each day's sightseeing and the central location was ideal. I was so fortunate that my visit coincided with Open Monuments weekend, with organ recitals at the Oude and the Niewe Kirk, a guided tour of the Headquarters of the South Holland Drainage Board (in the only house in Delft with a stone facade) and the highlight for me - the biennial Delft Tattoo - wonderful! I plan to return!

Review 95:Not much too complain. Only the wi-fi was slow and the connection would break. Everything else was fine

Review 96:Delft is a wonderful city and this hotel allows you to explore it by foot since it's so close to the center. The view is very nice, to the canal, and the room was incredibly spacious. In the little kitchen you can cook your own, and it has a great bath

Review 97:The green algae on the canals and we found Delft very quiet and sadly disappointing after a few very enjoyable days in Amsterdam, a place we had fallen in love with.

Review 98:Hotel and Greek restaurant on the canal boat outside.

Review 99:wi-fi

Review 100:last minute booking with many doubts. Instead we found a clean hotel and friendly staff. We slept in romantic room with canal view and we had a very rich breakfast.

Review 101:Catching my breath after a walk up the stairs , but easily resolved by losing some weight and training

Review 102:almost like staying at your own home , what more could you want from a Hotel

Review 103:Internet dropped off occasionally Amenities in room (coffee, glasses) weren't refilled without asking

Review 104:10 minute walk from train great spacious family room pretty decor great location for seeing Delft

Review 105:No air conditioning. It was a hot day and we had to keep the windows opened to refresh - therefore we could here the train during the night and also had some mosquitoes inside the room.

Review 106:The size of the room and bathroom, the staff and the breakfast.

Review 107:Absolutely nothing

Review 108:The location is outstanding. Very friendly welcome on arrival. All staff go out of their way to make your stay a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. They certainly go the extra mile regarding customer satisfaction. Room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable , with a bed that was very comfortable. The breakfasts are superb , with nothing left out. Fruits , cereals , cold meats , cheese , your choice of eggs, variety of breads , jams and yoghurt. We have travelled to Delft many times and fortunately found this hotel last year - this is the 2 nd year we have stayed here , and will definitely return many times in the future.

Review 109:If I could give excellent "plus", I would. I had researched other places in a similar price range, and to be honest, the Bridges House had not been my first choice - but the others I wanted did not have available rooms. As soon as I entered the Bridges House, I felt I could not have done any better! In fact, I had extra time in Delft, and strolled around to look at several of the other hotels I had researched online. NONE of them compared with the Bridges House for location or decor. It is just one block off the main square, perfect location to be in the center of things but not noisy. The others were slightly outdated in decor, and a bit dark/gloomy in the lobby/breakfast rooms. Bridges House is freshly renovated, with crisp white and cobalt blue decor. Very charming, bright, super clean, modern, and cheerful. There were some pieces of antique furniture here and there, which lent charm without being "heavy" or dark. The beds were extra-long and super comfortable, and the bathrooms felt like a 5-star hotel, with new fixtures like rainwater shower, etc. and spotless. The lobby/breakfast area is a nice place to sit and chat and plan the day, with a view of the canal outside. From the time of booking till we left, the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly, answering e-mails promptly and comprehensively. I was a high-maintenance guest, I'm afraid, and had lots of questions about the rooms, location, etc. because I was traveling with my elderly parents and my Dad is somewhat disabled. They dealt with it all very patiently and graciously, and gave my parents the quiet Junior Suite on the ground floor, opening onto the breakfast room/lobby. It had a large bathroom and french glass doors opening onto a private sunny courtyard, as well a a roomy seating area. It was also equipped with a small fridge. They were We could not have dreamed of something better.

Review 110:The stairs going to our room are pretty steep and our room was in the attic, not really what I expected for a Junior suite.

Review 111:Great Breakfast, eggs, bacon, anything you would like. Walking distance to Train Station. Close to many restaurants.

Review 112:Extremely steep stairs - between 2 and 3 floor one can say rather about a ladder not stairs. Wifi didn't work on 3 floor (to weak signal), and personnel couldn't repair it. We paid a lot for a room but we had to pay additional fee for drinking water and posibility of making tea in room (kettle) - it should be included in room's price.

Review 113:Wonderful location in a beatiful old city. You can feel history all the time. Beatiful view from window on roofs and tower of New Church. Clean, nice, but small room (32).

Review 114:Poor WIFI connectivity

Review 115:Welcoming staff at the reception and for breakfast, nice and big enough room with view on the canal, clean, possibility to get fried eggs with bacon for breakfast

Review 116:Noise from the outside tavern Noise from the loud conversation at the computer post in front of our room No air conditioning and the room gets very hot and stuffy

Review 117:Location Charm of the place Nice staff Generous breakfast

Review 118:You can't have the window open because of smoke from the hotel kichen chimney. Very crammed and small stairs. Hard to climbe even for a young man. Wifi not working in other places than lobby.

Review 119:Noisy fan in bathroom, when light was turned on.

Review 120:The location was amazing. The decor was wonderful. Room was nice, clean and not fancy. Bed was comfortable. Morning breakfast was good and interesting other guests while eating.

Review 121:Stairs. They are very upfront about not having an elevator. If you are a chronic overpacker like me, getting up to the third floor with a large suitcase may be a challenge. Older knees than mine (54) might not appreciate the stairs to the top floor either, even without luggage. Still, room 300 was beautiful.

Review 122:Beautiful location, lovely town. Good breakfast, very nice staff. Room 300 is very nice, spacious and airy. I will be back.

Review 123:Very nice place! Relaxing, well decorated, good breakfast!

Review 124:no

Review 125:Absolutely perfect. I will come back again

Review 126:broken bedsheet, we felt monitored by the staff, apparently dinosaurs upstairs

Review 127:great location& functional wifi and parking.

Review 128:Not a problem for us, but stairs very steep and narrow. Certainly wouldn't put us off booking again.

Review 129:Everything.
