Centrally located in the heart of Burnt Pine, Cumberland Resort and Spa is an intimate boutique resort set in tropical gardens. Soak in the heated swim spa pool, relax in the sauna or enjoy a massage and body treatment at the day spa. Guests have use of a resort rental car.
You can explore Norfolk Island at your leisure in your allocated resort rental car, or stroll a few minutes to trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. The friendly managers can assist with local tips, tour bookings, activities and dinners. A free half-day guided island tour is included.
Free breakfast provisions are provided for your first morning. These include eggs, bread, fruit juice and milk. A welcome drink and seasonal fruit is also provided upon arrival.
All villas feature a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and modern bathroom facilities with a spa bath or a spa-style massage shower. Each villa includes flat-screen LED TVs with cable channels and a DVD/CD player, an iPod docking station and private BBQ facilities.
Guests are provided with free use of a computer and mobile phone, and a free daily WiFi allowance. Snorkelling equipment is also provided.
Norfolk Island Cumberland Resort is 5 minutes' drive from the Kingston World Heritage Area. The beach at Emily Bay is less than 5 minutes’ away. Free airport transfers with a personal meet and greet are included.

Review 3：I must recommend this place as we (4) spent Christmas week here and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Rael and Angela who made our stay run smooth by meeting us at the airport and by making advance preparation for us and then making several bookings for restaurants and tours. Snorkelling is a must do at Emily Bay and they even have the equipment on hand to make this happen. The hire car was perfect and enhanced our stay.

Review 4：Rats in ceiling noisy at night. No sound proofing at all between adjacent rooms.

Review 5：Great location right in the little town. Modern rooms, two bathrooms (but only one functioning toilet), reasonable cleanliness.

Review 6：We received a very warm welcome, and felt like valued guests. The managers were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and private, with 2 outdoor courtyards, full kitchen, lounge, bedroom and two bathrooms. Fresh bananas, grown on site, were always available for us. The property also has two common rooms for guests to use. The pool was a wee bit disappointing, but with the beautiful Emily Bay just 5 minutes away, who needs it?

Review 13：Everything! Fabulous staff, included hire car, starter breakfast provisions, picnic basket and rug, kitchen facilities - all of it was fantastic! Couldn't be happier!

Review 14：It was a pleasant surprise to find a good selection of breakfast provisions including fresh eggs, bread, spreads and juice had been provided. The kitchen was well set up with some thoughtful touches such as food storage containers, a picnic set and food wrap. We also appreciated the interest and friendliness of the staff.

Review 15：The bedding had a distinct sour smell, which was very off putting. Half way through my stay when house keeping took place, most of the towels were replaced with fresh ones, bed was not refreshed with fresh linen, I had to ask for this to be done, surfaces of glass tables had a smeared look about them, no hot water for showering the first night of stay. I could hear the people next door all the time and every car that passed during the night when trying to sleep.

Review 16：Close to main town shopping district, an easy walk. Everything you need for your stay is at hand in the accommodation. Rental car on site was very convenient as was transfer to and from airport by Cumberland.

Review 17：Photos on the website included another property with a lovely spa and sea views, but it wasn't clear that this wasn't the facility we were booking, which led to disappointment on arrival. * We understand this has now been addressed.

Review 18：Car rental included. Close to town (including supermarket, shops, restaurants & cafes). Friendly staff, very responsive to any requests. Unit was newly renovated, very nice, lovely bed linen. Welcome breakfast supplies etc (bread, eggs, butter & spreads, milk, juice, tea & coffee). Pool (fairly small, but warm).

Review 19：Outlook is a planted fence I.E. No outlook I guess the benefit ofclose to town?!% added to the credit card not great. We (4) stayed in expensive villa 'Romantic' - expected roomy accommo. - tiny. My gosh was the hostess OTT, believe us no one appreciated her VERY long romance dialogue. The 'pool' doesn't live up to the photos taken years ago? Very run down and we wanted to get the jiff out. Also the spa on the website, where is it, never saw it at Cumberland...

Review 22：One of the managers, Ian, picked me up at the airport and gave me an excellent 30 minute "orientation tour" of the south end of this lovely island. I was in Villa Unit 2 which was huge: 2 outdoor patios, 2 en suite bathrooms, king size bedroom, large lounge/dining room and a kitchen. It was very comfortable. They also had a selection of more than 400 DVD.

Review 23：Rooms needed a bit of work eg. shower door didn't close, leak under bathroom sink. The heated swim/spa pool was a bit murky. The main living room was very dark with inadequate lighting. Free DVDs very outdated. Got extra Foxtel channels but TV in bedroom not tuned in to receive them.

Review 24：Nice and close to town centre. Hosts were great - very friendly. Free seasonal fruit on offer. Plenty of room in unit. Free rental car (although insurance was extra).

Review 25：I would have liked the bed linen to have been change more than once a week and the actual owner who was supposed to be there when Lillian and Ian had their day off to open up the office and be available for enquiries and purchase of washing tokens etc when time stated

Review 28：The staff were fantastic ,nothing was too much trouble . The unit was clean and comfortable ,and I very much appreciated the starter breakfast pack. Lilian was great in sorting out the car and booking trips, she recommended one in particular which turned out to be the most enjoyable. Perfect hosts!

Review 29：Staff were friendly and very helpful. We were apgraded to a two bedroom suite which was excellent and had all facilities required. The location at Burnt Pine was central and only a short walk to good coffee shops (the Olive was very good). The car provided was old but quite satisfactory for the short distances on the Island. For example only seven or eight minutes to the historic Kingston area and Emily Bay for great swimming.

Review 30：Hard to think of something we didn't like, I guess the potholes in the roads would be on the list. The other thing we didn't like was leaving!

Review 31：Lillian and Ian were fantastic hosts they made sure our stay was superb. The location was very central, great to have a car included in the rental, the free fruit in the "cage "was a nice touch. The people everywhere were so friendly and the weather, walks, food were all great.
