Reviews for Kunstnerhuset i Lofoten
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:I liked everything there! The area in Svinoya is calm and have a beautiful view of the harbor. It takes 15min to center of the city but it was not a problem for us. The kitchen is available all the time and you can take coffee and tea for free always. The bedroom was totally clean, comfortable and charming. Bathroom always available and clean too. They gave us a late check out because of the Hurtigruten departure was late night and they don't have more hosts to receive, so they were really nice with us!
Review 3:A little far from the dock. You need to cross a bridge before getting there. If you're carrying a luggage, it won't be an easy thing.
Review 4:If you see it from outside, it's just a common house like you see everywhere. But when you enter it, you'll be amazed by its interior design. It's a wonderful place to stay for holiday. Rooms are cozy. You can enjoy the big living room and kitchen. The host is friendly and nice. If you're lucky, you can see the northern lights at the front door. I should have spent more days on the island.
Review 5:It's a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal or hurtigruten. Not a big deal just be prepared
Review 6:Awesome views from around the house. We arrived late but the girl gave us lots of information of things to see and places to go and was very friendly
Review 7:The downside of the location is the 15/20 minute walk to the ferry/town centre over an exposed road bridge
Review 8:Good cooking and cleaning facilities, tastefully decorated and simply furnished. Location on little island away from the centre with great views out to sea and coast.
Review 9:Everything's fine except the price...a bit pricy but every hotels have the same problem in Norway;) Ah, need some oil for cooking...
Review 10:Nice host, clean facilities, cozy bed, all-equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, tidy bathroom, free laundry washing, free bike rental(am not sure if it is available for than a few hours-I just used it for grocery shopping)
Review 11:We loved to stay at Kunstnershuset - it's a great way of meeting new & interesting people. The livingroom and kitchen are big and you feel very welcome there. There are studios for painters and the view is amazing from ALL windows!!!
Review 12:nice kitchen and common room, beautiful views
Review 13:The location was quiet, but the main town was only a short walk away. The atmosphere was really welcoming and it was a great place to work and relax.
Review 14:in darkness not easy to find
Review 15:warm and friendly with space
Review 16:Lovely place to stay. Great chance to meet other people. Nothing to complain about at all.
Review 17:Comfortable rooms, great location and the chance to meet other guests all a plus
Review 18:Thin walls make it a little less "private"
Review 19:Location is superb! Easy to get in contact with other travelers
Review 20:It was definitely my best stay during my Lofoten trip. The host was very kind and helpful and so were the other guests stayed there. It is not an ordinary hotel but it feels like a home for the time you will stay there. I recommend it to all open-minded traveller looking for an accomondation in and around Svolvaer.
Review 21:lack of staff at reception, relying on phone communication with some one in the building but inaccessible. Not very good if you don't have a mobile handy!
Review 22:atmosphere
Review 23:The curtains in the room as well as the toilet are a bit transparent.
Review 24:The room is clean with simple design. The living room is cozy and the kitchen is well-equipped.
Review 25:Nothing at all
Review 26:Great home from home atmosphere. Lovely place to meet interesting people. Everything you will need in the kitchen. Nice spacious lounge and dining areas. We would definately be recommending it to family and friends to visit.
Review 27:Location is not perfect, as there is a rather long walk from the ferry terminal (15-20min, including a loooong bridge crossing), but is by far compensated by its positives aspects. Being on an island separated from downtown can be a plus for some people, since the place is really relaxing.
Review 28:It feels more like a home than a hotel (it is actually a house). Rooms are big, clean and renovated, altough all doubles come with two single beds (no double beds). There is a big and fully equiped kitchen at your disposal (3 fridges, stove, full set of cooking tools, microwave, dishwasher), so you can buy your food at the supermarked and cook for yourself (which is a big money saver in Norway!). Shared toilets. Great common living room, There is a great artist atmosphere in the house. Free coffee/tea provided, which is a great perk considering its prices out there! (3-5€!!!).
Review 29:lovely place, very clean and friendly staff. perfect!
Review 30:Lovely house, Impressive scenery, homeowner very kind and friendly
Review 31:PERFECT place, perfect host-everything there was perfect!
Review 32:Not for the average tourist, but for a homely feeling in a beautiful house on an excellent location with a lovely hostess.
Review 33:Distance from the main island
Review 34:Value for money, coziness
Review 35:Hard to find the house.
Review 36:Friendly environment.
Review 37:This 'house' is more than a 'hotel', it's got a friendly athmosphere.
Review 38:No breakfast. No close supermarket. Bus stop closeby. But the worst is that no close supermarket closeby...
Review 39:It is lofoten. Very beautiful. Cheap
Review 40:I loved the fact that there is a kitchen and livingroom to use by all guests.
