Reviews for Moov Hotel Évora

Review 1:Narrow entrance/exit to underground car park.

Review 2:Excellent location and only a few minutes walk from the centre of the city. Attractive and well decorated hotel and rooms. Value for money breakfast.

Review 3:Brilliant location, helpful staff, the price/quality ratio is amazing, perfect stay to discover Evora and Alto Alentejo, especially Monsaraz, Borba, etc. There is a parking lot inside the hotel for 5 euro/day or you can park for free behind the city walls (200 m outside of the hotel).

Review 4:I stayed at this hotel for the second time. Wonderful hotel for a cost! Convenient rastolozhenie near the center, excellent garage! If you end up in Evora again, the choice is obvious, but this hotel! Thanks to the hotel!

Review 5:The heating was from the ceiling (like air conditioned heating) and you could feel the breeze of warm air all the time. I think it was with motion sensors because after a long period of absence from the room it was cold but when you enter the room the heating turns on.

Review 6:Very clean, they change the sheets and towels every day. 24 hour reception so it was very useful when you have a plane to catch.

Review 7:The (optional) breakfast is not expensive, but also not very rich of options.

Review 8:Very good location near the main city square. Not too far from train station (even though I recommend taking a taxi for 5 euros). Friendly staff. Good rooms.

Review 9:Some minor things: main electricity switch in the room works strange, they didnt answer my e-mail reservation for parking, bit noisy but generally ok

Review 10:Very good budget hotel, cheap and centraly located, garage parking for 5€/day

Review 11:I didn't like the fact that there was not iron to get my suit ready for an important meeting. I was told to go somewhere else to borrow one and that was quite shocking knowing how nice the hotel was.

Review 12:I liked the whole experience. Very nice and clean.

Review 13:We were just expecting a little more for our money.... more comfort, more amenities in the room (example: hair dryer) more towels and generally more comfortable.

Review 14:The location was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 15:The bed is giant but no space left in the small room to walk beside the bed. Rooms have windows on the busy street or on the central atrium. People goes in the central atrium late in the night and the sound is amplified so much that you can't sleep.

Review 16:Extremely good value for the price--clean, modern, quiet, and well located with safe (paid) parking and a very friendly, helpful staff. We plan to try the Moov Hotel in Porto as well!

Review 17:Negotiating the Evora one way system. The showers tiles on the bathroom floor and become discoloured and therefore did not look clean

Review 18:The location, underground parking and the design of the building.

Review 19:It was missing some basic elements in the room, such as a hairdryer, a locker, an iron. Also, it was really hard to get ice. Finally, the wifi was hardly working in my room.

Review 20:Nice and clean room, well located.

Review 21:Maybe a bit too essential, the room was really warm and could not activate the air conditioning, only open a small window. Pillows very flat and basic. maybe would require a bit of more attention to details

Review 22:Very modern structure with very friendly staff. Room was very clean and tidy. Definitely great combination quality/price.

Review 23:Great bathroom; comfortable bed; secure (pay) parking under the hotel. It would have been nice if the breakfast was included. It wasn't spectacular enough to pay for in my opinion. Location is good but it is a very tight and busy walk from the hotel into town. Hotel didn't have a good map or any tourist info to share.

Review 24:If anything to consider for improvements then - room size (booked a double for single occupation) could be a little larger - room furniture could help if brighter colors

Review 25:- Friendliness of staff - Car garage parking option - Location in walking distance for nearly all sights. Évora old town isn't that big. - room w window to the large inner court very quiet - room quite modern and clean (very functional interior) - among best values during my stay in early Oct

Review 26:A quality low-budget hotel. For the price, i.e. 42€ including breakfast it is a deal. Modern, clean, comfortable bed and good breakfast considering the price. 5 minutes from Évora's centre but far enough to be quiet at night. Staff are courteous and speak English, French an Spanish.

Review 27:There are only a few parking slots - typically occupied. Internet connection time out very short. You have to reconnect each time.

Review 28:Modern design of the hotel.

Review 29:A good location inside the fortress walls, and a short walk up to the central square. Very nice, clean, modern hotel with a nice continental breakfast. A very good location for your walks up and down the hills while visiting shops and historic cathedrals.

Review 30:Nothing except that we smelled smoke inside the room one night.

Review 31:Moov is located right inside the historical wall and easy to go everywhere. Around 15~20 minute walk to the bus station. Staff is very helpful and provided good recommendation on restaurants. We booked a quadruple room for two persons to enjoy bigger space.

Review 32:Moov is a contemporary hotel among many historical buildings. It is located just inside the walls of the centro historico. It has parking which we needed. The room was a suite with sitting area, clean modern bathroom open to the room--except the WC had a privacy door. The reception staff recommended restaurants nearby. Very well worth the price. Breakfast was continental--no hot items.

Review 33:Room was too small and there was no option between a simple sheet, thus freezing at night or a very heavy blanket, which was really too hot.

Review 34:Good position in the centre of Evora. Nice buffet breakfast and wifi.

Review 35:The shower is poorly designed and lets water flood the rest of the bathroom.

Review 36:Location, modern facilities, good cheap breakfast, parking garage, pleasant staff.

Review 37:No in-room safe. Use of hotel safe was inconvenient.

Review 38:The room was very clean and everything functioned properly. The front desk staff were very welcoming, helpful in providing traveller information and efficient.

Review 39:Interior/lobby slightly clinical-looking

Review 40:Convenient location at the edge of the old town center, so easy to reach by car. Underground parking garage for 5,- per day. Modern interior. Room was spacious and clean. You get a free tourist map with locations of the most important sights in the town. Nice hotel for a good price.

Review 41:It's very modern and therefor not very cosy/warm. After showering the bathroom was very wet.

Review 42:The location is excellent, perfect for discovering the city. Breakfast is nice.

Review 43:Our room was a little on the small size though the beds were comfortable. Would have appreciated a second pillow but given the nightly rate it seemed unreasonable to complaon.

Review 44:Exceptional value for money.Ideal location just inside city walls and few mins walk to main square. Free parking <10 min walk. Hotel also has car park but you need to book a space. Friendly, professional staff. The reception staff were especially gracious and booked restaurants and wine tour for us with a smile. We were very happy with continental breakfast and at €4.50 each thought it good value. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Review 45:The only problem was having to enter the user name & password every time you wanted to use the Internet.

Review 46:Great breakfast & staff all spoke English. Also this was the first hotel that had several TV stations In English, including CNN & BBC. It was very modern & well equipped.

Review 47:- the room was not perfectly clean (floor, walls, ...), it seemed if it was cleaned quickly

Review 48:- wifi in the room - brand new - enough space in room and bathroom - good bed - good matress

Review 49:Not much really, didn't always have great wifi but I always consider that a possible off day

Review 50:Easy to find , friendly efficient staff , well located , got all the basics and very good value for money

Review 51:The staff did not honour our parking request which was sent long before our arrival. Had to park on the street and get up early in the morning to move the car.No wi fi in the room.

Review 52:Location,cleanliness,value

Review 53:Room was small. Didn't like the furniture, it had sharp corners that we kept hitting by accident.

Review 54:Great location, hotel is simple but nice. Pretty good selection of food & drinks for (continental) breakfast. Liked the rainshower showerhead in the bathroom. Staff very nice & helpful.

Review 55:One uncomfortable bed out of four. Considering value for money, there was nothing that we didn't really like.

Review 56:Value for money on accommodation and breakfast. Great location. Functional rooms with decent sized bathrooms. Good shower. Three out of four beds good. Helpful multilingual reception staff.

Review 57:Nothing frankly, AC didn't work even after "repair", recommendation for Resturant was overpriced with poor food, breakfast was very limited and room was tiny. If you are trying to tour Portugal and want to see Evora find another hotel!!!

Review 58:The only suggestion I would make is to supply more than one pillow per person.

Review 59:The location - right inside the walls - couldn't have been better especially since we came by car. Easy access to all the sites and restaurants in town too. A very sleek and modern hotel. Good breakfast buffet. Nice lounge area for playing cards, etc.

Review 60:Would have been nice to have an evening lounge. The hotel maps were too basic.

Review 61:It was good value for the price. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. The location was easy to get to.

Review 62:Small rooms, non-descript "motel-like" furniture. Breakfast felt like eating at Ikea, but the food (except for the horrible sugary, artifical orange juice) was ok. Make sure you don't have a big car if you want to park in the basement garage - the spaces are tiny.

Review 63:Modern, clean, good value. Helpful staff.

Review 64:Worst breakfast ever - bread, pastries, cheese without any definable taste. Juice and yoghurt of low quality with artificial flavours - at least they had apples. Rooms so small that there was no place to put the luggage. Bathroom with airport character, no hairdryer, toilet paper consists of single tissues. The hip hotel image does not equal the faceless, impersonal charm of the accomodation.

Review 65:Comfortable parking in the basement at a fair price up to 2 p.m. on your departure day. Located in a good place, easy to reach, and quiet. Staff was as nice as professional - trained for business travellers that are probably the main customers of the mainstream hotel.

Review 66:Check in was slow as there were a number of people wanting to check in and only one (poor) chap on the desk. Windows were all overlooked meaning curtains had to remain drawn. I hate liquid soap dispensers! Room rate didn't include breakfast

Review 67:Great location if you wanted somewhere to stay in Evora but didn't want to face the steep and narrow cobblestone streets in a car or on a bike. Modern hotel with limited facilities but great value for money. Secure parking (though there is a fee).

Review 68:We requested to have a crib for our Infante. they dont have and the answer was like they will never have - we sleept in other 3 hotels in Portugal and never had a problem to arrange the crib. We dont recommend for jung familie with Infante.

Review 69:New hotel, very good place, nice hotel good position.

Review 70:Great value for the money. Good location just inside the city wall and an easy walk from the bus station. The room was nice and clean but very small. No coffee or tea kettle you had to purchase coffee from a mavhine in the hall with limited options however they did offer decaf as an option.

Review 71:This hotel is in a great location. I truly enjoyed my stay at this 'no frills' hotel. I didn't miss the amenities that other hotels offer. The room is a little small but I knew what to expect. The bed is comfortable. The hotel is nicely decorated. The staff was pleasant and gave me a great restaurant recommendation (Restaurante S. Luis, just a few blocks away). I chose to forego the breakfast only because I like to explore and immerse myself in the culture. Very pleasant stay. I highly recommend this hotel!

Review 72:- troubles opening the sliding bathroom door (it wouldnt slide)

Review 73:+ location + parking space (book it in advance!) + great beds + very clean + good breakfast + value for money

Review 74:There were very gluten-free options in the breakfast.

Review 75:The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was modern and very clean, the rooms were simple, but well decorated, and it was all very centrally located.

Review 76:Closed parking spaces were of difficult in accessing and manouvering if one has a large car.

Review 77:Good price quality ratio. Central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet, comfortable.

Review 78:Very close to central square. Nice underground parking. Extremely cheap for the quality level overall - this kind of hotel would cost triple in Copenhagen.

Review 79:The hotel is rather aseptic: anyway, the Holiday-inn feel is OK as it comes with all the related comforts (and you pay less than 50 euros). Wifi connection requires frequent log-ins, quite annoyingly so

Review 80:Good bed, good windows to isolate from heat and noise. Great value for money.

Review 81:Smart modern hotel in an interesting city. Excellent value for money. Great breakfast (at modest additional cost). If the hotel carpark is full, it is possible to park on the street immediately outside the Hotel with some luck.

Review 82:Wifi was not very strong in rooms, we had to leave the room to the hotel corridor to connect. Parking is not easy in the city, I recommend to park in hotel parking.

Review 83:- Very good location, close to everything

Review 84:I think the architecture of the building is different than everything we see in Évora. It's a bit dissonant.

Review 85:The breakfast really worthy for the price we paid. Well served and with some options. Nice staff and a short walk distance from the center.

Review 86:Wi-fi didn't work at all, at least in my room!

Review 87:We went for a friends wedding and we all stayed at the same hotel, large crew . The staff was super sweet, they allowed us to check in super early, let the hairdresser and make up artists work on the hotel, clean our room after all the party preparations (flowers, balloons and everything else) for us to have a perfect room to sleep after the wedding! Super enjoyable stay!

Review 88:Very well located, walking distance to the city centre and main attractions. Helpful staff most of them very friendly. The breakfast was good with a variety of items to choose from.

Review 89:New, modern hotel in the heart of an old city. Perfect location for walking to all the sights, extremely good value for cost. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Evora.

Review 90:Minor point. No keys, must input 8 digit code.

Review 91:A very nice place to stay in Evora. Close to train station, 6 euro cost. Short walk up the hill to the old town. Clean and a great value. Air conditioning worked well on 35C days.

Review 92:Location is perfect for sightseeing in Evora. The hotel is new and modern style with reasonable size rooms and bathrooms. Secure underground parking is very convenient, safe and cheap for just 5 Euros. Breakfast in the patio was very nice.

Review 93:Not really a criticism but you can only get a drink or snack from a machine. But that is the idea less staff and therefore cheaper. the important things like in the room are great

Review 94:good english friendly and helpful staff , good air con great shower all very clean right in the middle of town. Adequate relaxed breakfast is self service.

Review 95:The hotel was in the city centre so we were able to walk everywhere. The hotel was very clean and modern. The breakfast was extra 4.50 , I think it's a good value. There were cheese, ham, yogourt, fruit , pastries , coffee so something for everyone. The hotel offered free wifi for the guests and also had air conditioning. The hotel staff was very helpful and gave us good suggestions re: restaurant and what to see

Review 96:The wifi requires entering the username and the password each time you try to rconnect to the internet/emails. A bit annoying but no deal-breaker.

Review 97:Location is walking distance from everywhere. They also have a free parking which was great. Room is very comfortable. Big like!

Review 98:Very noisy street, so it was almost imposible to have window opened. Better to ask for the other side. No wifi in the room (in the lobby ok)

Review 99:- location - staff - equipment - air-con

Review 100:Regarding the hotel it was perfect, no complaints at all.

Review 101:We shared a room, which was very comfortable and big enough for the 3 of us. There was a lift, indispensible for my mom. There was also a convenient shower out of a bath-tube. The breakfast was pretty good as well. The staff was nice and the location was excellent, right next to one of the entrances of the city. This was particularly convenient because we rented a car and used the hotel's garage.

Review 102:Did not realise you had to reserve a parking space and the last one had just gone when we arrived, but parked in free car park by the petrol station a few mins walk away.

Review 103:Rooms small but very comfortable and with much needed air con. Great shower. Paid extra for breakfast and was enjoyable, could sit out in terrace area. Only minutes walk in to main part of old town and bone chapel.easy to find, can see it from the main road and roundabout.

Review 104:Very modern, light, bright, comfy room with good shower. Excellent private underground parking. The hotel has a good lounge & outdoor seating too. A short walk to good choice of local bars & cafes. our second visit and will definitely use in the future.

Review 105:Breakfast is rather poor and there is no bar/pub in the hotel at all. Additionally, they have quite strange system for door-opening and you have to enter a six-digit PIN everytime you enter your room.

Review 106:The hotel is brand new in a walking distance to the center of Evora. It's a budget so you cannot expect any spectacular things. It's clean, has nice design, staff is friendly and beds are comfy.

Review 107:Obviously been so modern it lacked atmosphere, but was value for money and very clean. A kettle in room for tea and coffee would have been good.

Review 108:Covered all the basics and was central with parking for all the key sites in town. Good shower. Would certainly recommend to friends.

Review 109:Nothing

Review 110:In a quiet location under fifteen minutes walk from the centre. Hotel is clean, comfortable and good value. The staff were helpful. The continental breakfast was satisafactory.

Review 111:Breakfast is not impressive at all. Parking can be used only till 2 PM, if you want to leave your car after check out.

Review 112:Interesting building. Very clean and nice smell. Comfortable rooms. Pictures of hourses everywhere. Private parking available (for extra pay). Good location near the city center.

Review 113:There was nothing not to like. If you fancy a cup of tea in your room take your travel kettle! Us Brits like our tea! There is a machine also if you want to buy one so not desperation.

Review 114:Perfect modern hotel in perfect location within easy reach of all sights, restaurants and bars. Evora is a charming and interesting place. Extremely helpful and attentive staff with friendly smiley faces and very pleasant. Rooms lovely and clean and quiet with comfy beds and bedding. Breakfast buffet continental and plenty of it. For the price this hotel surpassed itself and was perfect in every way. Many thanks for a great short stay. Will recommend.

Review 115:Some fresh prepared fruit. Some pictures that reflect the hotel's history. Some warm. Great value, nonetheless.

Review 116:Easy to access and secure parking. Everything OK but so stark and minimal it makes Inis look Baroque. I liked garage parking (at cost). If entering via Rua Raimundo, the metal garage entrance is in sight at the end of the bit of road After you go through the gate. The sign says "moov Parque. " the location was only z short walk up to the central square.

Review 117:The hotel was very beautifully presented with lovely photos on the walls and clean white decor and perfect-size rooms for comfort. Shower was modern raindrop effect - very envigorating!

Review 118:Clean, modern, comfortable hotel that is conveniently placed on the outskirts of the beautiful old town. Friendly staff. Good garage that is worth the 5 euros.

Review 119:Nothing!

Review 120:The hotel was very stylish and comfortable with lots of nice touches. The breakfast (additional cost) was very good. It was nice to parking underneath.

Review 121:Stairs to floors are not very visible- they seem to want you to use the lifts.

Review 122:Good postion and price. Parking in underground garage but book in advance in popular periods.

Review 123:- Sometimes wifi signal was weak so device would be disconnected

Review 124:- Friendly staff - Value for money - Clean and modern - Location - Facilities - Good breakfast for price

Review 125:The breakfast is very very basic but cheap. You could be anywhere in the world, in one of these modern & trendy hotels, which won't be to everyones taste, especially when visiting a heritage city like Evora.

Review 126:Good location inside old city walls with parking (if you pre-book). Very new so everything is clean & efficient. Pretty good value.

Review 127:Not a bad experience. Clean and modern but about as spare as you can get. I figure they economized everywhere to keep the price point low.

Review 128:The price was definitely right.

Review 129:Charge extra for parking, bad directions given to train station

Review 130:Very new, so clean and comfortable. Easy walking around the historic city, and good restaurants nearby.
