Review 1：This is more of a suggestion for future guests than a criticism: ask for lodging closest to the parking area if you have a lot of stuff or trouble getting around. It can be a bit of a walk otherwise.

Review 2：Of the 5 hotels we visited in Portugal, this was by far my favorite. It's only 10 minutes away from town, but you feel so secluded. And the architecture is like no where I have ever stayed before. Absolutely beautiful. And peaceful. The food here was so nice that we ate most of our meals in the restaurant on cite. They put out quite a breakfast spread on the weekends. The same items are available during the week, you just have to ask the waiter for items that you don't see out.

Review 3：Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Very nice food, well prepared with the exception of a type of meet in one of the dishes that was a bit overcooked. Everything else was amazing. Gym is very nice and indoor swimming pool and Spa were also good.

Review 4：Airco definitely needs sorting. Despite constant, blast of both AC's set at 17 we could never get it anywhere near that. Would be very uncomfortable in summer. Bathroom amenities very very low.

Review 6：The sleeping houses looked like a ghost town when you walk in and you hardly see another guest there. Inside the houses it's not very comfy. Nice standard, but it feels very soulless. I disliked that you can only open the terrace door if you prefer to sleep with fresh air.

Review 14：We stayed in this hotel a year ago and it was again a wonderful stay. However, there were some details missing which give this place a more refined touch last year. - No more pillows in the pool area. - No more flowers besides the walking path between the houses. Weed everywhere, this gave an unwelcome impression. Can easily be avoided. - Boxes with rat poison could be seen spread out over the property. Please, put these out of sight of the guests. We did not see any rats or other bugs though. - Renovation works going on. - No more shop with local products next to the reception area. - Hair dryer missing from classic suite (on Booking.com it says it is included). We got one after asking.

Review 15：Still a great hotel were you can truly come to rest. As said, the minor issues can be avoided and don't impact the overall experience. - Staff was friendly and helpfull. - Great restaurant with delicious food (higher priced than the average Portuguese restaurant) and friendly staff. - Beautiful and silent location between the cork trees. - Clean, modern and spacious suites with large closet. - Close to Evora for sightseeing and eating out. - Good breakfast with lots of choice (no more pancakes though). We will definitely come back!

Review 29：Lack of towels on the SPA 2 days on a row. The staff offered a rope to be used as a towel!!! (that's not something you would expect from a 4 starts hotel & spa). Too expensive comparing with other hotel & spa options, specially having in mind that there is no water circuit and the Turkish bath doesn't work properly. There was a long wait at the SPA reception and sometimes there was no one at the reception.

Review 33：Almost everything: staff, the room, the confort. We stayed at new years eve and even though there was a party on the main bulding, we slept like babies without any noise. The room has an excellent architecture, with a living room area, toilet and a big sleeping room with acess to a small and beautiful terrace. The surrounding area is also charming, with small squared bulding landscapes, in the middle of sheep farms and cork forest, Alentejo as its fullest.

Review 39：The garden and the terrasses of the suites were in strong contrast to the rooms and hotel inside... They looked untidy to unfinished! The terrasse still had paint stains and the olive tree in the pot was dead. That olive tree fields look dry is fine, but the plants in the alleys and in front of the suites, if they had survived, were covered with weed! PLEASE hire a gardener, it gives such a bad impression compared to the rest of the resort.

The restaurant is if very high quality, both breakfast and dinner: the best we found in Portugal in three weeks travelling! Not only the food is delicious, it is also very well presented and the service is friendly and uncomplicated.

Review 50：Difficult to find on the GPS. Coördinates provided on booking.com are not accurate. We ended up in de middle of a dust road in a cork forest. Coming from Lisbon just follow the N114 to Evora until you seen a sign on your right 'access local'. Next to it is a sign of the Ecork hotel.

Review 51：Great location in the middle of fields with oak and cork trees. Quiet atmosphere (we were there during the week). Gorgeous interior design, in the main building as well in the suites. Suites are very nice with separate living room, bedroom and private patio. Nice pool on the roof of the main building (towels should be provided at the pool and not at the reception). Enough lounge chairs and beds available. Food in the restaurant was one of the best we had during our vacation in Portugal. Excellent. Breakfast has everything you want, good variety every day. Superb stay, if you want a relaxing vacation this place is highly recommended!

The privacy of the patio is nice if you want to sunbathenude but the shut-in cube feeling is a little claustrophobic. Peopleneed to look out at a view. Showers are always better when not over atub. The address did not work on the gps causing a lot of hassle findingthe hotel.
