Reviews for Best Western Museumhotels Delft
Review 1:Room directly next to a busy alley. Single glazed windows ment that there was a lot of noise throughout the night.
Review 2:Hotel located in the heart of the city center, clean rooms and very friendly staff.
Review 3:I wish the breakfast had some gluten free options. I had to bring my own bread down to eat.
Review 4:Great location. Comfortable beds. Nice upkeep. Friendly front desk staff.
Review 5:Poor Rooms OLD out of Fashion Hotel Separate buildings Super limited breakfast Price is way exaggerated With same room rate we stayed in Hilton the Hague on weekends!!
Review 6:Location
Review 7:Perfect location next to the old church. Our family room was clean and big enough. We had even a wonderful view to the church. Bathroom and shower were also good and clean. Hot water was working properly. WIFI connection had a good speed and no bottlenecks. Personnel at the reception were very pleasant. Price was reasonable for the stay. Fully recommendable. 200m from the hotel is a parking where you can leave the car for 18EUR a day.
Review 8:We feel a bit disappointed when told our room is not in the hotel we saw on the website while in another building a bit far from old town.It should be informed in advance when booking is making.Besides, there is no reception in another building which is inconvenient to check out.The young staff in new building desk is not quite helpful.
Review 9:In general, the staff is kind and friendly. The room is spacy and quite.
Review 10:Town clock chimed every hour and half hour... Didn't help sleep pattern at all
Review 11:Nice hotel, staff very friendly room ample sized and very comfortable
Review 12:The hotel is located within walking distance from the railway station. It is very comfortable, nice friendly staff. I recommend this hotel to visitors for business and pleasure!
Review 13:Rooms are smallish as are bathrooms but again, for a few nights that's not a problem
Review 14:Location, location, location. The hotel is situated in a beautiful old building with all its charming little staircases and hallways and steps. Not the most practical but absolutely lovely.
Review 15:Carpets in hotels are not a good idea (even if they are clean, they tend to keep weird smells). A simple kettle and tea/coffee bags would do better than the complicated Tassimo machine.
Review 16:Great location. Interesting (and convenient) mini-lift for the luggage. Bathroom cleanliness
Review 17:Room is near the alley where people passing by so it's a bit noisy
Review 18:One of the staff is very helpful and gives good advise on restaurant and how to get around.
Review 19:Great location next to the Oude Kerk and on one of Delft's charming canals. Perfect for exploring Delft and surroundings on foot or by bike. The lovely staff accommodated our early arrival which was much appreciated!
Review 20:No grab bars in shower. Sort of dangerous for elderly people, but rather common in Holland.
Review 21:Excellent breakfast!! Excellent Service!! Nice location, you can walk to everything!!
Review 22:Parking (not included & not part of the hotel) was several blocks away in a garage that was difficult to use & make payment.
Review 23:Good location & helpful staff. Local stores with wonderful fresh fruit & shopping very close. Quite rooms well decorated.
Review 24:Parking is very very tight and not included 13 euros extra for 24 hrs and breakfast not included extra 10 euros per person
Review 25:Great location except for the noise from the bars situated nearby. We stayed Saturday night and it was noisy until after midnight. The room we had in the residence was a bit stuffy due to the fact that to sleep we had to keep the windows close. Sunday night was quieter although because of some corrugated roof when the rain started that also made a noise.
Review 26:Lobby can be improved, staff nice yet they cjarged a member pf our geoup for smoking in her room.. We were 15 room group so Ithink they could have pardoned the penalty but only a warning would be a better treatment
Review 27:Breakfast, jistoric building, excellwnt location
Review 28:Check-in was listed from 2pm on Booking.com, but when we arrived we were told it was from 3pm, even though we had advised of our time of arrival via email. No apology was given for the confusion or incorrect information and it appeared that there was no compromise. We asked to deposit our bags while we were waiting to check-in and ended up just leaving them by the reception desk as no further instruction was given. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected the staff to be a little more forthcoming! On being shown our room I asked if we could request more tea/coffee for the Tassimo machine if necessary, as there were only 2 of each. I was informed that the limit was 2 unless housekeeping was feeling generous. Regardless of the great location and high standard of accommodation it's unlikely that we would stay here again given the less than 4 star service we received,
Review 29:Great location. Reliable Best Western standard of accommodation.
Review 30:They tend to give a room on a building at a remote location in bad condition if you are not a member of a group or so. Only after some discussions they accept to give a room on advertised building.
Review 31:In a location right on the edge of town one might expect parking problems. In this case there should be better indication that the nearest car park is some way away and expensive. It cost us 36 euro for two days
Review 32:the only con is that there is no AC. They did provide a fan and it was a little cool outside so we could open the window. But if it were really warm outside it would have been difficult to stay in room. No on sight parking.
Review 33:friendly check in, great price, great location and they offered family rooms! We enjoyed out stay here and would stay again.
Review 34:Our room was adjacent to a public walkway below which was well used by a few loud people in the middle of the night. This did wake us up, but was not the fault of the hotel.
Review 35:Hotel was very convenient for seeing Delft. Although Delft is not such a large place to get around anyway. Room was spacious and very large bathroom. There was a Tassimo coffee machine in the room, we wanted a proper cup of tea. We asked for a kettle at reception and was given one immediately with a smile. Would stay again in this hotel.
Review 36:Great service and my room had wiews over the channel and the old church. Very helpful and friendly staff wich tended to our need, especially for my ni e month old baby:) A little tight elevator, but it worked.
Review 37:Beautiful view of the church , but paid the price for this as the bells chimed on the hour and for a family room to be put right at the front wasn't good , we all got little sleep The beds were uncomfortable and the towel were all hand towel size. Pillows appalling. We asked the staff at the desk if the bells rang all night and they said NO. How could they not know this? It felt like the church was in our bedroom and the 6 chimes at 6am were the last straw. If you are a light sleeper, please do ensure your room is at the back . It will mean you won't get a lovely view but you will sleep.
Review 38:The Hotel, was in a beautiful location, right by the canal and a short walk from the shops and the cafes.
Review 39:Hotel looks as if it needs a renovation: some parts are a bit run-down. Also, the rooms and bathrooms, without being dirty, could do with slightly more thorough cleaning.
Review 40:Location, price, friendly and helpful staff
Review 41:Finding this place was not easy. Google diections are not enough. You need a GPS in good working order. Bed was way too soft. Otherwise, property was fine.
Review 42:Absolutely a great location and a very friendly staff.
Review 43:We were not made aware that the Museum Hotel was spread over 3 sites when booking. We had to pay extra for a room in the most convenient site for me with dissabilities to allow me to visit family nearby.
Review 44:The particular building we stayed in of the 3 sites was in a great location. We had however to pay extra for this.
Review 45:Single room had zero view but was quiet and clean. Only needed to sleep there so not an issue.
Review 46:Fabulous location in fabulous City. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.Even had a bath.
Review 47:The room did not have a safety box and the coffee maker was not working.
Review 48:The location was perfect and the staff were friendly. Everything was very clean and the Continental breakfast was good.
Review 49:The location was perfect for wandering around the old town. It's near all the museums and sites and surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants. We walked from the train station in under 10 minutes. It was easy and a beautiful walk - you spend the whole journey admiring the scenery.
Review 50:too close to church (which bell will 'loudly' chime every hour!
Review 51:hotel location is excellent, it's situated in the heart of old city very friendly staff great breakfast
Review 52:My room overlooked the alley, which did get pretty noisy at night - mind you, it was New Year's Eve so it might not always be quite as bad!
Review 53:Excellent location - multiple buildings but all close together and just a few minutes walk from the main square. Good clean facilities, friendly helpful staff.
Review 54:Excellent location close to the train station and _really_ close to the city centre. Very nice room with great views. Nice staff Very good place to stay. I would definitely stay there if I go back to Delft.
Review 55:to get the wifi, we need to call receptionist, didn't managed to get it because my phone was not picked up. The hotel has 3 different buildings, and the receptionist is only in the main one. My room was not in the main building, so it's a bit disturbing, especially when they didn't tell me in my booking. But we got a glass of mulled wine, so it was ok :)
Review 56:the bed is big, the staff are extremely nice, there is a coffee machine inside the room which was amazing! the location is awesome, very near to the city centre, breakfast is included!
Review 57:Nothing
Review 58:I booked this hotel as I was attending an event at the prinsenhof museum and it couldn't have been closer! It's also right in the centre of historic delft and within a stone's throw from all its sights and 10 mins walk from the station The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
Review 59:size of room size of bathroom, no place to put you things around the basin floor of room not flat no manual for the coffeemaker, could not put it to work
Review 60:Old town atmosphere
Review 61:Rather chilly on arrival ( extra duvet or blankets would be nice!) and not enough towels, and a blocked sink in the bathroom. Most disappointing was the very incomfortable sofa bed.
Review 62:Location, serviable staff.
Review 63:It is not ONE hotel but THREE in a row as a result of which the main entrance, front desk and foyer are on one street, there is another in the middle with entrance from a side street and our rooms on the third facing still another street- There being no interior comunication we had a five minute walk sun or rain by the side street to reach hour hotel where the foyer was permanently deserted after breakfast had been served and positively NO ONE to face any eventual emergency- All of it very odd
Review 64:Location was excellent with access to all places of interest as Delft is a very small town. The room was confortable though the incredible position of the furniture caused the foot of the bed to nearly touch the door!!!!, Breakfast reasonably good and the people serving it quite pleasent.
Review 65:No parking at Hotel and had to make use of public parking @ 14 Euro per night a few hundred metres away.
Review 66:Staff very friendly and helpful, Breakfast lovely, location is great and close to historic buildings, churches, restaurants and shops. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
Review 67:You will be in the middle of city, next to beautiful church. We were in middle house (hotel is composed from 3 buildings) with absolutely silence and comfort. Great hotel at all.
Review 68:This hotel is composed by 3 separate buildings, very different to one another. The old part needs a major update and a lobby, the others 2 have new rooms but even there the bathrooms need also an update.
Review 69:Great location. Friendly, attentive staff. Good, spacious rooms. Very clean everywhere. Good breakfast.
Review 70:Unfortunately the bell of the nearby church rings every half hour. You must get used to it, then it is fine.
Review 71:The location, the staff and the structure. Breakfast and internet access were good.
Review 72:The room was a really small one. The toilet was ok but I had to go through 5 steps to get there.
Review 73:I really liked the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was very nice. I really liked the position in the centre of the city
Review 74:No complaints
Review 75:The staff was helpful and accommodating. Rooms comfortable, clean and accessible. Located within easy walk of train station, buses, tram, Old City center, museums, etc. The perfect place for a stay in Delft.
Review 76:Didn't take breakfast at the hotel as €20 each seemed a bit steep! The old church bells seem a bit loud to begin with but to be honest you don't notice them so much after a while-double glazing would probably help though.
Review 77:Fantastic location for exploring Delft and the surrounding area-and the Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Review 78:Nothing, this is a great place to stay.
Review 79:The location of the hotel is excellent, central to Delft and also only a few minutes walk to public transport, e.g trams/buses/trains. The staff were very friendly and obliging. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were large, including the bathroom. Breakfast was typical Dutch and very nice, bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon etc.
Review 80:Run down hotel, rooms without air condition and the windows you can only open 4 centimeters...luckily the weather was cool in August during our stay. This hotel needs a shake up ( renewal), the rooms look filthy , the bathrooms are a disaster - when last did they renew anything....? My grandma has better shower ans water taps...
Review 81:The location and the staff
Review 82:Breakfast cost, same price for children and in average for four persons increase the price of the sojourn by 60%
