Review 1：1. The arrangement in room 221 doesn't make any sense. They squeezed in two chairs and a table instead of just providing the guests with bead side tables. And one side of the bed is against the wall in a double room. What is that about? 2. When we arrived one of the bedside lamps were out and the tv remote wasn't working. Only means no one has checked either of those things for a while. 3. Sorry to say, but receptionists hair was the messiest I've ever seen. Cant have someone working in front of the house looking like that. She was nice and helpful but looks give away the low standards of the hotel. 4. Reserved king room with one double bed, but got twin room. Hotel was half full, maybe even less.

Review 4：The staff were kind and attentive and when I had to change my flight tickets home could not have been more helpful - and sorted it all out for me. Perfect situation - the best in Svolvaer.

Review 5：Sadly, housekeeping let things down a bit. Mugs and glasses not washed, beds sloppily made, pillows not shaken up. A pity as everything else was really good. One evenjng the restaurant was fully booked for a private party. Best to check earlier in the day.

Review 6：'Different' to most hotels as, from many rooms, you feel as though you're floating on the water. Our bedroom had a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the wonderful view. Some bedrooms look out onto a carpark so maybe make a special request for a sea-view. Svolvear is a lovely place to spend a few days and the Lofoten Islands are very special. Breakfast is buffet-style with a huge choice of dishes. No one goes hungry here! A short walk to town which makes for peaceful nights. Reception team were particularly helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 7：When I used laundry, I had to go to tourist office and bought a laundry ticket (100nok), then moved again to another place facilitated laundry machine. It's not convenient and I have to buy a detergent also.

Review 11：The worst Scandinavian hotel we have ever been. It seems to be normal in this hotel when: 1) You get very small and not enough clean room with “people legs view” on the first floor at the price even more expensive than several levels higher quality Scandic hotel in Narvic. 2) You receive keys from your room and day after other unknown guests unexpectedly enter your room with the same keys, saying to you that this is their room they was granted by reception. 3) You get absolutely not tasty dishes in the hotel’s restaurant (with one you didn’t actually order) at the same price as in the best restaurant in the city just several steps opposite the hotel. 4) You have to pay for the same room twice (full payment when checking out and same payment unexpectedly withdrawn from your card a week after) and then after several days calling / writing to the hotel about the wrong double payment cancellation get the wrong payment back with the currency loss about 10% of the total receipt (that no one will repaid you). Strongly recommend avoiding this hotel, where the personal have a great mess in proceeding with their responsibilities, just to save your pocket and good impression from the Scandinavian nature.

Review 15：Reception gave me a lovely quiet room overlooking the wateretc( on arrival I said I did not want a room overlooking the carpark). i was very happy with the room--and it is only a short distance from the Hurtigruten terminal where i had a boat to catch between 21.00 and 22.00. I would stay here again if I ever returned to Svolvaer. I was lucky to find 2more guests who wanted to hire a car to see the islands and they asked me to join them

Review 18：Luxuszimmer sind es keine, klein und mit Kunststoffboden, aber sie sind sauber und für normale Ansprüche durchaus ausreichend! In unserem Fall wurde die Fassade renoviert und damit der Balkonausgang blockiert - das wird sich aber (hoffentlich) bald ändern

Not the best hotel for a young couple -- as far as we could tell, we must have been the only guests that didn't get off one of several massive tour buses of retired folks. At check-out I asked for a written receipt and they couldn't provide one because the printer of the hotel (there's only one) was broken.
