Reviews for Hotel Festival Plaza Playas Rosarito

Review 1:The music from the neighboring night clubs is so loud, even ear plugs didn't help. It finally stopped at 3:30am, but I hear on peak weekends, it goes til 6am! Felt like I was sleeping inside a club. None of the amenities or features advertised actually existed (restaurant, spa, pool drained, etc.). No air or heat in the room. We slept with scarves and jackets on, fully dressed. Mattresses were very hard. Hopefully the hotel management reads these reviews and attempts to make some changes.

Review 2:They were one of the few hotels w availability over New Year's Eve.

Review 3:The hotel is a little tired looking still like it did when it was built in the 80's. The restaurant and bar/lounge areas are non existent-not really that bad as there options for good eating/drinking within walking distance.

Review 4:Good location, clean room with a view. Staff was friendly, always greeted with a smile. Covered secured parking.

Review 5:The place is a ghost town. The pictures are misleading. Jacuzzi is drained and looks like it hasn't worked for years. Everything is old, outdated, dirty and needs to be renewed. Half the hotel lost power all night and had to eventually switch rooms. Brown water came out of sink in bathroom.

Review 6:Location to clubs. Although clubs are now dead.

Review 7:No air conditioning , No coffee in the room or lobby. Poorly maintained, Staff very rude and UN-cooperative. Very small rooms, priced high for the amenities, they provided.

Review 8:It is very near to the beach and main market.

Review 9:There was no AC it was super hot at night and a lot of mosquitos since we had to leave the window open. Would be nice if they put an AC or at least two fans in the room. My kids and my self came home with mosquitos bites all over legs and arm. Key word AC!!!!

Review 10:Hotel was real clean quite. My kids enjoyed the pool the whole time we was there. I will book my room again in this hotel. The view of the hotel was so beautiful.

Review 11:The hotel is very old.rooms are not clean toilet knob broke pool area very dirty the hotel rooms smell very bad like humidity not a 3 star hotel

Review 12:The location was ok

Review 13:Poor plumbing, run down facilities. Says pool bar but there isn't-- actually no bar except next door. They don't give you a border fast pass unless you're there for 2 days and didn't allow me to buy one... It was $100 for one night of no AC, poor plumbing, no bar, and no one night fast pass?

Review 14:The location - awesome spot for anything.

Review 15:Clerk and maint. Location is good

Review 16:Weather turned out to be to hot. The property does not have ac. The noise level loud have window open and door to have a breeze. Mgmt poor not flexible. Maint and clerks r good. Never recommend this property only if ur drunk

Review 17:Where do I start. I didn't like that ther is not many spots for parking. You have to park away from the hotel (all though secured) but had to walk all the way back to the hotel. We got valet parking but did not like that they had to take our car out of hotel because the underground parking was full. They should have mention that. There is no fridge no coffee pot. It was very noisy at night. For a family vacay with small kids we don't reccommend. My kids and I had trouble sleeping. Thenhearing laughs and footsteps of loud people coming in to their room after the clubs finally closed. The outside looks old and NOT like the pics on internet or fliers show. Thewheel of fortune in back is broken and old. We saw people in the pool but was not interested in going in although wewanted to be refreshed.

Review 18:I was told that breakfast is very good at Festival Plaza but Saturday was very busy and we didnt want to wait 1hr to have breakfast. The room is "okay". We had free wifi and the view was very nice too. We really appreciated the big ceiling fan because it was very hot and humid and we could not open the big window due to the loud music and fireworks from all the clubs.

Review 19:No speakers to play music at the pool and the Ferris wheel wasn't working.

Review 20:Clubs were in walking distance, the bar was next door, cheap, and Jorge (bartender) was really cool!

Review 21:Unfortunately their was no a/c and I happened to go on one of the hottest weekend in Rosarito. By keeping the window open all night we could hear the clubs downstairs partying until 5 am.

Review 22:First thing is first. The view from our room on the seventh floor was spectacular. Everything was conveniently acessible by walking from the hotel. The valet staff were very nice and friendly.

Review 23:The quality of the hotel. No AC, rooms were not booked together as we requested, everything in the room was old broken. Paint was chipping, poor wifi connection, building was in very poor condition. This place needs major remodeling. Prices are way to high for the poor quality place. Will not be staying there ever.

Review 24:Safety

Review 25:Reviews said music from clubs was very loud. Not only is the music loud but the bass is so high you feel the boom/thump all the way up to the 7th floor. Keep in mind there are 5 or 6 clubs doing this until 4am.

Review 26:Our room was on the 7th floor. Spectacular view!!! Staff was very professional and super friendly. 3 minute walk to clubs and beach.

Review 27:The noice from the clubs, music loud, had to pay for parking, got no sleep. When we checked out, they denied us the fast track for the border.

Review 28:Close to everything, free WiFi and the securities where very nice and friendly.

Review 29:It could have been more clean and the sheets could have been more comfortable, made me feel like I should have brought my own sheets.

Review 30:The hotel was close to everything so it was easy to keep up with activities. The room had a nice view and it was big enough for us.

Review 31:Wifi kinda sucked

Review 32:The location was close to everything had a great view of the ocean .. Room was a little old but nothing to complain about loved opening the window to let the fresh air in .. Awesome view

Review 33:I didn't like that the pool section was close , an that the wifi wasn't working most of the times

Review 34:The view , an that everything was in a walking distance

Review 35:Worst hotel experience ever!! Pricey room($120), wristband entry, and they charge ($16) per guest to visit up in your room! Valey guys put 11 miles on car! Apparently the parking structure is offsite and not the garage at hotel..

Review 36:I liked the location and walking distance to the bars, stores, taco shops.

Review 37:They didn't provide any bottle water in the room or a mini fridge. The all the a joining places to eat or have a drink were closed. The Spa was open but no one was there.

Review 38:The view was great of the beach and ocean.

Review 39:Loved that I could walk to and from the beach to my room. Passed a lot of interesting people on the way but overall it was a blast thanks festival hotel!

Review 40:Pool was ice cold and dirty. Hot Tub was cool and dirty. Bed was sagging in the middle. No vending machines, so had to walk to store for things. No coffee or coffee maker. $5.00 parking per night, even though we were staying there.

Review 41:Beach View (although we have one at home)

Review 42:We came in Dec and it wasn't as alive as it would be in the summer or if there were more people vacationing. Our fault. The hotel was really nice and would choose to stay there again next time I'm in Mexico.

Review 43:The room was large and the view of the ocean was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy to find and right in the middle of shops and restaurants.

Review 44:We were all badly bitten by mosquitoes. Out of season everything in the hotel was closed -- the jacuzzi was cold, none of the bars were open, no food was prepared or served in the hotel.

Review 45:Location

Review 46:Our room was kind of narrow and needed a new or at the very list a clean carpet. The pool needs some maintenance, the color of the room was very depressing, shower heads had pressure, but very little water came out, new curtain in the shower is needed it was falling.Restroom needs major work, pool needs a heater the water was very very cold, and dirty.

Review 47:Short walking distance to shops bars and beach.

Review 48:Parts of the hotel were closed, the rooms really need to be upgraded and the entire place needs a facelift.

Review 49:The location is perfect, great security people.

Review 50:Rundown, Old, not kept up, Poor, Ugly, Erie, no drawers, terrible pillows, slippery bathrm floor... NOT worth the price. LOUD CLUB MUSIC UNTIL 4 AM..could not sleep. Not air-conditioned, hot uncomfortable

Review 51:Checking out, staff

Review 52:No A/C in the rooms..had to sleep with windows completely open

Review 53:Great customer service in front lobby, underground valet parking, beach view is really good you have all the nightclubs around you walking distance

Review 54:First of all, I made reservations online because I wanted to surprise my kids but we were the ones surprised. Pictures of this hotel online looked super but when you see it in person it's super old. I really don't know why they have this property abandoned. It's a 70"s hotel but they haven't remodel at all. I reserved it for 3days, it was hot and couldn't leave windows open cuz of noise from next door clubs.(hotel with no A/C) not good at all. This could be a place maybe for singles not with family. But besides all this, we tried to make our vacations better by the beach. Tnx to all the people there

Review 55:Location it's great but when you have kids all you want to do is relax and this place you can't relax at all. We went to the beach and other near by places to make our stay better, so we couldn't think about our place lol. Thanks to the personnel they were great.

Review 56:Place was super run down. Uncomfortable. Looked shady. Electricity and water went out for about 6 hours!! And not so much as a courtesy notice. Service was bad. Music from the clubs doesn't stop blaring til 7am,even on a Sunday. Don't stay here unless you HAVE to. Never mind, just don't.

Review 57:Great location. But that's where it ends.

Review 58:The staff is EXTREMELY rude... Specifically the blonde lady at the front desk. Power went out at 6pm which is not really their fault but they did not even apologize for the inconvenience or try to give us any information on what was going on. We arrived a couple of hours early and they wouldn't even let me park my car on the premises until 3pm. I didn't want the room, just to park my car! There was also a bathing suit sanitary liner stuck to the bottom of the bathroom door. Gross. Elevators were out of service due to the power outage so we had to walk up 8 flights of stairs. No big deal for me, but the poor old lady on my same floor had a hard time. No apologizes from the staff, or timelines as to when the power outage would be fixed. I will pay the extra next time and stay at the nice Rosarito hotel. I cannot stand horrible service like that. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall.

Review 59:The location

Review 60:No ac! Door deadbolt broke and left us locked inside the room for aboutan hour. No decorations what so ever, no drawers to put our clothes, noiron or ironing board. Will not stay or recommend this.

Review 61:The water and electricity went out. The room was dirty. The carpet was soaked blankets were stained.

Review 62:Great location close to all the bars and beach. Great view from out bedroom window.

Review 63:Very loud, can hear all music thumping from nearby clubs, no Air conditioning, if u want to get any ventilation in room must leave windows open, making even louder

Review 64:lady at the front desk was not very nice. Everyone else was very nice though.

Review 65:I likes the place have been there many time before, it close to the beach.

Review 66:The bathroom broke the first night, overfilled and made a mess in the room! Smelled horrible! No AC. Bar and pool was not open during our stay. We took off our hotel bracelets to take a shower and forgot to put them on for one night. The hotel manager was extremely RUDE! Yelled at us and said we would need to pay an additional $40 per bracelet in order to stay for our final night that we had already paid for. This was the worst experience my family and I had ever encountered at any hotel! We will never stay at the Festival Plaza again. Furthermore, we will let all our family and friends never to stay at this hotel!

Review 67:Not for everyone. This is not the Four Seasons, but is quite nice.

Review 68:Very cool hotel, nice view (sprung for the Ocean View), classy old hotel. Shame the town was a bit Ghost Town-y, but we were there on a Sunday night. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

Review 69:A little noisy at night time music doesn't stop till early morning. If you want quite stay further down the beach.
