Review 1：We had a 5 person bunk with an attached toilet. It was spacious and comfortable! Excellent service by the staff and friendly too. They can speak english for foreigners as well which made communication a lot easier.

Review 9：The interior of the guesthouse makes one feels welcomed and send off cheerful vibes. Coming back to the room after the whole day exploring the island could never feel better. Even though the staff only speak minimal English, they still try their best to help. One of the things that I love about this place is they have daily housekeeping! Since we have limited time to explore the place, we hardly have time to make our bed. This is where housekeeping is very convenience.

Review 23：Staff aren't well geared to English speaking customers. Check-in was confusing and vague directions. Was told the following day that guests should leave the guesthouse from 11-3 so the staff could clean even though there were thunderstorms all week! Not much atmosphere.

Review 26：I like the lovely rooms and beds there. I was staying in the female doom. Had room change on my third night of staying, to a very lovely female doom. Wifi is good. Exellent staffs! Had a group tour with Joy, one of the owners of the guesthouse and thanks to him, we had a nice trip in Jeju. I will come back here again if I'm on a solo trip. :)
Review 27：The staff at this guest house are really diverse and kind. When I was their they were all willing to hangout with me. Particularly Mr. Baek Sungnam, who drove myself and other visiters around Jeju island in his car, on his own day off from work. In addition it is located directly across the street from the intercity bus terminal, which means you can get anywhere on the island quite easily. I highly recommend Sum for anyone who wants to make friends, and get and insiders perspective of Jeju. You may even get a personalized tour if you were lucky like I was.

I liked that they had a large powder room for females too.

Review 54：1) the attitude of the front desk is terrible. I have never experience such bad experience in any other guesthouse. 2) 8 people in a small room! The bed is not tough or stable, kind of noisy. 3) The guest house also runs a bar, so people who live in your room may stay in the bar till 2 am and come back! 4) the whole guesthouse with more than 20 people only has one bathroom in the building!!!!! There are two more but outside of the building! If you don't want to wait, you have to get out of the gate!

Review 102：I was a bit worried as I don't speak a word of Korean but with all the good direction, I could easily find SUM Guesthouse after hopping on airport bus 100 from airport. I was lucky enough to meet some friendly Koreans to share their chicken and beer on the first night at SUM and I was extremely lucky to have tagged along a SUM volunteer staff and a Korean guest to take me to Mount Halla for a brilliant walk. Beds are comfortable and the locker big enough for my whole backpack. Shower was strong and bathroom was clean. The best part is that there were two washing machine on the top floor and you can use them for free and have your wet laundry dried by nature sunlight at the balcony on the top floor. Location is great as the bus terminal was just three minutes walk across the street which takes you to most attractions regardless you are to explore the west or east end. Breakfast are self service but you can fried your own eggs and there are jam and bread, cup noodles and orange juice for free. Common room was a nice place for people to meet and make friends. Staff are very friendly, all you need is to ask them for help like trip planning. There were also guided tour to U-do and other common routes.

Review 109：When I came ipto check in I was told to wait untill 3, fair enough. But when it was finally 3 o' clock the staff was all still having lunch and made no effort to hurry or help me check in. On the third evening a lady from the desk came to or room to tell us that tomorow a man would be staying in this room but I booked the girls room. "So tomorow we will move you to another room okay?" Not okay. Not only was the tone she used very rude but I was not really willing to pack all of my stuff up again because of their poor organisation. The other option was to keep sleeping in that room but then together with the man who would be coming the next dat. I thought this was absolutely ridiculous and I was suprised at the high review score of this hostel. Furthermore, breakfast is very minimalistic and the kitchen is very messy. I was very dissapointed with this hostel

She helped me print our boarding passes and helped us book in the ferry for jeju island. We definitely got more, more than what we paid for....clean surroundings and breakfast is good!
Review 115：Staff were all young and friendly! Most spoke English, and I also got to practice my Korean while there. Most of the guests are really friendly, and we made alot of friends while there. Even had a makgeoli party on our last night! Location is SUPER CONVENIENT as it is located right opposite the bus terminal, so if you hop on a cab and the driver does not understand the address, just direct them to the bus terminal. We had a really great time and we will definitely recommend this guesthouse to our friends when they visit jeju!

The staffs are wonderful and friendly, providing information about the nearby restaurants and attractions. The room and other facilities are clean.
