Josl Mountain Lounging Hotel sells fast on our site. Located at 6,332 ft above sea level in the village center of the winter and summer resort of Obergurgl, this modern and elegant 4-star hotel is only 500 feet from the cable cars and the ski school.

Review 1：We arrived on Christmas Eve and during check in we were told dinner was every night from 7pm. We were not informed that Christmas Eve was the gala dinner which started at 6.45pm and you needed to be dressed smartly. We received a phone call to the room at 7.35pm saying "everyone is waiting for you!" we rushed down in jeans and were embarrassed to find everyone sat there in shirts and ties. Not great on the first night and we felt uncomfortable.

Review 2：The hotel was in the prefect location for getting to the slopes - you can virtually ski back to the door! The food was amazing and the waiting staff great. Very comfy beds and clean rooms. The spa was lovely after a day skiing! Verag in the bar was amazing and so so friendly :)

Review 7：First, we were greeted by a very friendly host and offered a glass of proseco. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The customer service was incredible. The location was great and facilities for skiing excellent. It was truly amazing to be able to use the Spa after skiing.

Review 11：The afternoon tea was not enough for all the clients, if you arrive late- 3.30 (30 min after its opened) the soup was always finished! and they did not make any more - then you had only sweets together with bread and cheese.. The vegetarian dishes in the evening have to improve!!! The fish dishes was too small, perhaps 30 gr or so.. Dull staff at breakfast and in Speisesäle.. Much better in the reception and in the bar.. There is a lack of really concern for the clients!

Review 13：The food was extremely salty - while the taste and repertoire were sophisticated, the execution was wanting. In terms of facilities, the pool was tiny, and more important, there was no real Jacuzzi, which is important for relaxing after skiing.

Review 16：The restaurant was a little overheated so was the room but we just opened the window to let the cool fresh air in. Otherwise all was excellent.

Review 17：My husband managed to book our ski hire in Solden! We realised this on the first full day and the hotel provided us with a free ride down the hill to Solden saved us about $80 Euro on a return taxi! Not to mention time hassle etc. Loved the spa but can't get used to the nudity it was all a bit too funny! The indoor outdoor pool with spa outside just fantastic to swim outside while the snow falls.

Review 18：The food lacked consistency. On one occasion I was served the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant - a vegetarian pizza that was in fact burnt to a cinder and then had boiled vegetables (carrots, broccoli and sugar snaps) piled on top. My biggest concern was the manager did not seem to feel I had a legitimate grievance. Similarly, the third bed in the room was a very small fold down bed - so good double bed but let down by the third. The ski room is surprisingly small

Review 24：The food was excellent and the menus were very well put together. Kudos to the understaffed, super-young kitchen team! They went far beyond any of our expectations. The dining-room service was very friendly despite being slightly disorganized. We had a great room with a lovely terrace where we could just sit and admire the view. The hotel location is fantastic, just a minute walk to the ski lifts and even less to the hiking paths. The spa area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing even on cold and rainy days with gorgeous views and a variety of well-maintained saunas and steam rooms. The hotel also has a garage where you can leave your car for the entire stay. WLAN connection was also good and well thought out - you get a login that works for up to 5 devices simultaneously.

Review 42：The restaurant really needs a sommelier/dedicated drinks waiter as it took overly long to be able to order drinks. If you are a light sleeper, rooms directly above the Josl Keller might be a bit noisy.

Review 43：The hotel has a great location right at the end of the cable car. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were nicely decorated and the bathrooms were modern and spacious. The spa area is large and the indoor outdoor pool is amazing. Relaxing in the pool, looking at the piste and views after a day on the mountain was a real treat. Food was good as was the wine list. Parking was underground and the hotel park the car for you. The lounge bar and the fireplace is a nice area. The bottle of schnapps on departure is a nice touch!
