Reviews for Hotel Martinerhof
Review 1:They advertise that rooms have either bathtub or shower. We asked for abathtub. When we arrived, we were told our room had one, then found itdidn't, then we were no told no rooms at all have bath tubs, andfinally when I showed the booking.com entry, I was told that only oneroom has a bathtub and that it was already booked. Not in itself a bigproblem, perhaps just a language problem.Sauna closed at 7pm, a shame if you check in at 6pm, and only opened at 4pm, once again a shame if you check-out the next morning. At these prices, it feels that there is no need to save electricity... Disappointing. But the real problem came afterwards - when trying to establish if rooms had bathrooms (unsuccessful in English, Spanish, French or Japanese), an extremely rude barman from the hotel waded in with a German "What's the problem" and his scornful, childish attitude was completely unacceptable. Sneering aggression is not what one expects when paying a lot more for a hotel than many of the (much nicer) alternatives in the area, and when the facilities are not as advertised. This was a real shame since the female receptionist was very nice and professional about the confused situation, and in fact this unpleasant man's disgraceful attitude really ruined the stay for us. As I result, we would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Had it been possible to cancel, I would have left there and then. Other than this, the room was ok, a bit of a shame that there are lots of flies in the rooms and in the dining room, but that is normal, the hotel is in the middle of the countryside opposite farm buildings and meadows. Probably good value for EUR 80 or so, but certainly not worth the price we paid for it.
Review 2:The dinner was good and the waitress was excellent. The femalereceptionist was also very friendly and helpful after a misunderstandingwith the booking.
Review 3:It was a bad room. We left after one night. Rest assure, the hotel has far better rooms, but these were all handed out to others (somehow related to the fact that we booked via booking). Without trying to offend anyone, but this is a different kind of hotel, for elderly people and bus tourism.
Review 4:The fact that the owner himself apologized for the poor quality of our room. And she was very kind to give us a discount on it.
Review 5:We did a 10 day tour and stayed here for 3 nights , best hotel we stayed in and we all want to come back. Excellent food in the evening , great hosts , all in all a brilliant hotel
Review 6:We couldn't fault the Hotel Martinerhof in any way.
Review 7:The hotel was excellent in every respect, and enjoyed magnificent views of the mountains across the valley. Breakfast was splendid, and set us up well for the day. The location was peaceful being well away from any busy roads.
Review 8:Very nice small hotel, pleasant atmosphere, kind staff ( actually hotel owners ). Signora Manuela was so kind to us, unfortunately we stay one day less because of ski accident and she didn't count that day at the end. Beautiful breakfast, good location.
