Reviews for Lynnaya Urban River Resort

Review 1:The Swimming pool is very nice but at times could become very full as there is limited space for sun beds. The drainage of the shower cabinet is not working well even though someone tried to repair it. Although the rain forest shower is excellent, we had to turn the tap very low otherwise the water will flood into the room as the drainage is slow.

Review 2:The Hotel is decorated in the modern urban style and I found this to be very comfortable. The Restaurant is good and there is a beautiful Roof top Level where one can enjoy dinner and Drinks in the evening. The atmosphere is really nice and service is excellent. The room is spacious and comfortable with a large LCD TV. Housekeeping Service is well done.

Review 3:I was staying alone in this hotel for 2 nights and the third night with 2 more friends. The staff upgraded my room to a higher category so that I do not need to move room on the third day. Its is just so surprise and this act amazed us. We will so warm to stay in the hotel as the staff greet us everyday with a warm smile. This made me feel like home.

Review 4:We found the hotel to be in a great location along the river and within a 5 - 10 minute walk to all the restuarants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite room which was wonderful. On our second night there, the management arranged a gift of a congratulatory card and a wonderful bottle of red wine to celebrate our 35th wedding aniversary. A wonderful experience. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay at the Lynnaya Urban River Resort a memorable one.

Review 5:The city center could be a walking distance. But it's hot, so we mostly choose tuktuk. It's 2 dollar one way.

Review 6:The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The staff are really nice and helpful. We check out in the morning, but only take night bus at 10.00 pm. They let us have a free shower before we leave.

Review 7:Pool water quality deteriorated during our stay and we chose not to swim in our final day. No one appeared to be rectifying.

Review 8:Location is great - easy walk into town. Rooms are very spacious. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful.

Review 9:In the suite (a room with its own garden) there is no door in the toilet! It's quite ubcomfortable if you are not alone.

Review 10:The design of the rooms is awesome! It was unexpected to find such a fency hotel in Cambodia. The staff is very kind, the guys speak English well. The spa is good, as well as the restaurant. It's not far from the night market and the museum of Angkor's history. I dream to come back!..

Review 11:The pool was a little small.

Review 12:Individualised service and attention to detail in a lovely boutique hotel. The hotel is close to town (and the old market, pub street area) so no need for a tuk tuk. The restaurant is highly rated and deservedly so. The staff are attentive and will organise whatever you need; from cooking classes to floating island tours, temple visits with personal guides to museums. Breakfast was always lovely and fresh and you can order from the a la carte menu or enjoy the buffet. The room (12) was very spacious and decorated to a high standard with a very comfortable bed.

Review 13:Food in restaurant is tasteless, breakfast very poor, restaurant service very clumsy. Room doors are not soundproof, so lot of noise is coming in, not good for sleeping

Review 14:Very nice rooms. Good design and comfortable. Friendly staff.

Review 15:Personnel could be a bit more informative about Angkor Wat practicalities.

Review 16:Large and modern room. Nice swimming pool area with bar. Immediate availability of tuk tuks in front of hotel.

Review 17:Need to use cover tops for items at the buffet breakfast display given its outside area. Mosquitos ... But they r everywhere .... Just keep the windows shut

Review 18:Swimming pool is a good option after sightseeing to rest, spa is simple but all options that are needed. Staff is extremely helpful. Recommend for group of friends traveling together or couples (young and elder). Very clean - this is what we were looking for. Not far from center as well which is a plus

Review 19:Slippery floor in the shower and slippery bottles of shampoo could be reasons for not being able to go to Angkor Wat. I spoke to the management about it.

Review 20:The staff could not be more helpful, the restaurant was so good I ate twice in the hotel. They offer you tuk-tuk tours with the same driver, so you really get excellent service.

Review 21:Excellent huge room! We were upgraded to a Junior Suite with king size bed (thank you management!) and the room was superb! Huge, very, very comfortable bed, big, modern bathroom, small enclosed garden with outdoor bath, shower and sunbed, everything very clean and super comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and very fresh and varied food options. The staff is absolutely extraordinary, always with a smile to brighten your day and very helpful with every little request. The tuk tuk driver recommended by them, Mr San, was amazing too, took us in places we wouldn't have thought of. We made a new friend! So, would I recommend this resort? Absolutely yes! Worth every penny, excellent value for money. We will come back to this amazing country and we will definitely stay again at this resort. Thank you again for making our trip a memorable one!

Review 22:Comfortable, contemporary and stylish home away from home. The location is perfect – just close enough to the Old Market and Pub Street areas to be walkable, without being in the heart of the main tourist area. The rooftop bar is a lovely place to have a late afternoon drink and the pool is fabulous. Lovely, sincere service. I had a ground floor room with private garden which I highly recommend. I would absolutely stay there again.

Review 23:This is the second time I have stayed at Lynnaya. This hotel is just overall great, the staff, the hotel, the pool (might be small, but it's very relaxing) and location. I cannot ask for anything else! I always leave relaxed and ready to take on reality after I spend a relaxing week at Lynnaya! Can't wait to go back to Siem Reap.

Review 24:Nice and relaxing atmosphere, friendly personnel and an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING massage therapist. The location is ideal: lots of sightseeing and restaurants nearby.

Review 25:It was a pleasant stay, everything was properly taken care off. The room facility is new and the staffs are excellent. I will definitely stay here again for my next trip to Siem Reap.

Review 26:Nothing much

Review 27:Awesome location close to the Pub street and Night market at walkable distances bang in the heart of the city, Quick check in, big rooms, well maintained premises, helpful staff and a decent breakfast spread

Review 28:I didn't know why but the body lotion smells really strange...almost stinky like ammonia...couldn't imagine apply that on my skin. I told the reception stuff, but nothing changed when I was back.

Review 29:Good location, lovely room, nice breakfast. The second day we got up on 4:30 am to watch the sunrise, the stuff prepared lots of food in two delicate baskets for us, which made a wonder experience.

Review 30:Bathroom does not have any light at all, the cleaning is not enough in the rooms or even in the restaurant. The breakfast is no really complete and things are exposed in a messy way way. Food is not covered so bugs are hanging around. The swiming pool is quite dangerous so there are steps inside in dark blue color (as the swimingpool ) you can no see so the first time you step in you fall for sure.

Review 31:The guest rooms are pretty comfortable and the receptionists team are really helpful. In general the service is good.

Review 32:Shower design was weird - open design was too close to toilet. WiFi went down for 2 of 3 days. Breakfast was mediocre but free with room.

Review 33:Great location along river. Beautiful rooms and facilities. Bed was very comfortable.

Review 34:We stayed here for 4 weeks due to some work we had to do in the area. This is the best place to stay in Siem Reap. The staff was soon friendly, they felt like family to us. The manager is very nice and he treated us in the best possible way. When we come back, we will stay here again.

Review 35:There is no gym in the complex. Staff was attentive but I expected a more in a hotel with this prise tag. There was a big very very noisy private party in the roof top with out informing the guest. However management dealed with it appropriate after several complaints from us.

Review 36:Quality of the room and food is restaurant is good. Complex is quiet even due it's on a busy road. Good location.

Review 37:The mini bar fridge was located inside a cupboard and didn't work well at all.

Review 38:Lovely setting and location in easy reach of restaurants and centre of town. They provided a packed breakfast when we went out early for sunrise at Angkor Wat.

Review 39:The courtyard area of my room could be more garden-like and less concrete The coffee is not great - I order cappuccino at extra cost every morning

Review 40:Very good breakfast, pleasant pool area. Good location by the river and a 10 minute walk to restaurants. Very pleasant staff. Good beds and spacious clean and modern rooms.

Review 41:I was disappointed with room quality, I booked same room as friend staying at the same time, his room had a private outdoor spot with shower and bath where as my room for same price did not, there was no outside option for my room or bath trivial I know but when the cost is the same I would expect the same, also internet wifi at this hotel no good at all, make sure local sim is acquired on arrival, very cheap and less stressful than trying to get wifi at hotel

Review 42:The location was great, staff very friendly and helpful

Review 43:Siem Reap can get very busy and noisy - Lynnaya is a good location close to city centre on the river and very quiet. Boutique clean and friendly made it perfect. Tuk Tuk Sam a great ambassador.

Review 44:Lovely hotel, great location, near good restaurants and only a short tuk tuk ride from bar street. Really friendly staff, happy to help and arrange transfers, drivers for day etc. Definitely recommend.

Review 45:Friendly staff, great location. Our amazing tuktuk driver Ratha. Palate Restaurant was lovely. Short walk to Pub Street or quick drive in tuktuk. Safe and friendly area. Easy to visit the temples, floating villages and museums. Loved everything about Siem Reap.

Review 46:Our Booking.com description of our rooms as independent bungalow wasabsolutely wrong and misleading...they were just 3 guest rooms to abuilding, separated by a few feet from the next building of 3 rooms!!!Just because the building had only ground-floor doesn't make it anindependent bungalow.

Review 47:The location, the rooms we stayed in and the breakfast and the food wehad in the restaurant were excellent.

Review 48:To pay an extra price to have a espresso instead of the normal coffee.

Review 49:Wonderful room. First class pool : so easy to relax and to feel out the city stress when you are in the pool. After traveling around for 20 days, it was just a dream to stay there. Located near the river and at walking distance of the pub street, if you miss the night life. We were 2 couples and stayed for 3 nights.

Review 50:I wouldn't call this hotel a Resort, it is far from that. Location wise, I would have stayed in a hotel within walking distance to the Pub Street. This hotel is a 15-min walk from tourist conveniences like market, restaurants and bars.

Review 51:Big room; small but nice swimming pool.

Review 52:Nothing to complain about.

Review 53:Everything!!! Location, first and foremost. The staff, so friendly and efficient. The room was beautiful! More than we expected.

Review 54:My room was at the back and did not have much of a view

Review 55:The room was clean and neat, comfortable bed/pillows, plenty of drinking water, may be some more tea bags - all in all a pleasant room to get back to! Also very convenient walking distance from Old Market + Pub Street

Review 56:Spraying of the insect, which I know was environmentally friendly and kept the bugs away. We were kindly took prior to spraying with a letter in our room.

Review 57:The villas were nice and the outdoor pool. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Review 58:Downgraded from bungalow to standard room. No explanation or compensation offered. Staff a little over bearing, always next to you offering adsistance, we weren't even able to carry our own bags! They gave the impression nothing was too much trouble, but in fact they were ineffective and did nothing to assist with our downgrade. Food was good but overpriced

Review 59:Good location and price. Facilites good, nice pool area. Excellent tuc tuc driver !!

Review 60:Very good place to stay if you will visit Siem Reap because: very helpful personal; near to center but rooms are comfortable and quiet; nice pool area; free foot massage; very good choice of breakfast. They gave us free room upgrade from bungalow to junior suite what was very good surprise. If going again to Siem Reap then going back.

Review 61:Everything. This hotel and their staff was the highlight of our trip as far as accomodation. Beautiful and spacious rooms, great pool.area and most of all, friendly staff. Allways ready to assist and allways with smile on their faces. We will never forget our stay in Lynnaya :)

Review 62:They mosquito gas spray when we were by the pool. Although we received a letter on our bed it would have been nice to be offered to move away from the pool before the spray started. The breakfast could be improved.

Review 63:Staff were excellent - sometimes a little too attentive in the restuarant. The Spa is amazing! A bit more expensive than in town but soon worth it.

Review 64:The staff - very welcoming and attentive. The room was really great - spacious and well presented with all the amenities required and more! They also arranged transport and pick up from the airport was free!

Review 65:Staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything. We used the tuk tuk service to go to the temples. The driver was very good and took us to some places we hadn't thought of visiting. The room was lovely and spacious and the pool was a great place to relax and cool down after a morning in the temples.

Review 66:The Lynnaya is a a really great hotel. We had booked online and had the pleasure to be upgraded in a beautiful room with a outside bath and shower. The room was big and beautifully decorated. The shampoo, bath foam etc are provided in small typical containers, I doubt it is a fine brand but these are good products and the containers are refilled everyday. The pool area is also very nice, there's a small bar located right by the pool, clean towels are disposed on the sun beds as soon as they are available again. The complimentary massage is extraordinary, a whole experience by itself. The breakfast is quite nice, it is a continental asian breakfast. Nothing fancy about it, it could be improved with greater variety to match the class of the resort. It is also ideally located 10 min walk from the center, 10 min of tuk tuk from Angkor Wat etc And I'd like to finish with the staff who has been very kind and helpful. Our stay would have definitely not be that good without these people. Thank you so much !

Review 67:A little bit slow internet, but I used to that as everywhere in SE Asia, although Wi-Fi coverage is good.

Review 68:I've been stayed this hotel second time in three months: this fact tells own tale

Review 69:Everything is just absolutely perfect. It is the best choice of hotel in Siem Reap. Its a clear 10/10. Perfect tidiness, politness, place, comfort, quitness, services, breakfast.

Review 70:The description on the website of the bungalows is not the same as we got (no day bed and no bath) so we really didn't get what we paid for. They charge well above the odds to organize tuk tuk drivers. Go outside and organize yourself

Review 71:Really pretty resort. Nice pool and grounds. Really clean rooms Great complimentary foot massage

Review 72:Wifi reception in our room was a bit unreliable, however good coverage in the public areas of the hotel. Otherwise there was nothing to complain about.

Review 73:Great location close enough to the main restaurants and markets but away from the noise and crowds. Excellent service from the staff. We stayed for 2 weeks and loved it. It's a new hotel and benefits from great design. Pay the extra and spend some time here.

Review 74:Fogging without information

Review 75:Good Location, big comfortable, nice decorated room, good rooftop restaurant with delicious food, very helpful stuff concerning booking of activities and transportation,

Review 76:Wifi slightly unstable sometimes but fine enough

Review 77:Room very comfortable Perfect bed Service very nice Good dinner at the restaurant Good location nearby the city center

Review 78:wifi is not good in room

Review 79:I love this hotel very much, perfect service, perfect room and bed, I love this kind of feel which the hotel and staff gives us.

Review 80:The Wi-Fi was kind of unreliable, but otherwise everything was perfect!

Review 81:Staff are great, place is clean and comfortable, restaurant is also great (breakfast could use a little improving).

Review 82:Wifi connectivity varied day to day. The light above mirorr in bathroom woukd be nice to have and prices in restaurant are a bit over average for standart food.

Review 83:Staff was excellent and helpful

Review 84:i have nothing to complain! Thanks for all your team, to make my journey a wonderful one! not only help me book show tickets , but also arrange transfer service! very professional!

Review 85:Nothing.

Review 86:Everything! Amazing hotel, staff was very eager to please, went out of their way to fix small requests. Lovely rooms, good location for the markets and museum, temples quite close too, amazing value. The spa was the best amongst the massages i have had and the restaurant is lovely.

Review 87:The bathroom would have been perfect if there was a bathmat that would prevent the water from splattering all over the floor. Also, the fragile containers for the shampoo etc are nice but it could easily slip and break when your hands are wet.

Review 88:The foot massage!!!! The fluffy pillows and crisp white sheets. The friendly staff. The ambiance, location, cleanliness and interior design.

Review 89:Not really a bad experience really, but if anything the staff were overly attentive, I feel uncomfortable being watched whilst eating albeit with the best intentions.

Review 90:Rooms are of a very high standard, I received an upgrade to a deluxe room on arrival. Clean, comfortable and had a choice of shower or a long soak in a bath, both seperate in the spacious bathroom. Just a short tuk tuk ride to the old market and pub street 1 or 2 dollars gets you into the action, if that's your thing.

Review 91:First trip to Siem Reap with friend for visiting Angkor Wat. We stayed at a suite including a tiny courtyard, the room was perfumed with lemongrass essential oil, it smells really good during our whole stay. I am extremely difficult with the cleanness in general and this hotel's cleanness met my requirement! The bed was very comfortable, the furniture and decoration are simple but very good taste. The swimming pool was quiet and clean. The breakfast was good and the staff are really helpful and always make you feel like very welcomed. The hotel face to the river and the Royal Palace, 5 mins by walk to the old market and night market (pub street). This good location does not affect the hotel's tranquillity. It was perfect! I definitely will back to Lynnaya Urban River Resort for my next trip to Siem Reap! Many thanks again to all the staff of the hotel!

Review 92:This is a beautiful and luxurious hotel, with a very relaxed, spa-like feeling. After spending exhausting days touring Angkor Wat or the crowded and dusty town center, it was a real treat to return to this fabulous resort. The pool is terrific, the rooms very comfortable (with great air conditioning) and the staff couldn't have been better or more pleasant.

Review 93:Room/Terrace faces the busy road Bed

Review 94:Super friendly and helpful staff. Very flexible in arranging early checkin/late check out, even when I changed the length of stay. Food selection and quality at breakfast was AMAZING!

Review 95:Sometimes wi-fi wasn't stable, however I worked online and it was not a big problem. But if you expect to watch stream movies or so - might be a bad idea.

Review 96:Location is very good - on the river bank, bit far from night life site, that makes hotel good place for relax. Seems hotel is very new and everything is clean and unspotted. Personnel is great! I spent my birthday in Siem Reap and of course I've been gifted with birthday cake while staff sang me the birthday song :) Room is spacious and clean, although windows faced to the road no any noise disturbed me.

Review 97:Service was outstanding! Aromatherapy in rooms was great touch. Especially loved our room with the private patio and outdoor shower! God was amazing! Will definitely visit again.

Review 98:Power went out multiple times, which takes out the Wi-Fi with it. TV stopped working and had to be replaced. Staff wasn't very friendly.

Review 99:Location is close to town and the rooms are spacious and clean.

Review 100:The hotel is brand new, it has great facilities and incredible staff. We ere on our Honey Moon, and they prepared every detail to make our stay something special. You can book tours to Angkor Wat with great guides for very low price. The breakfast is amazing and they even take your homelets to the table. Also, we had dinner one night at the hotel's restaurant, and it was the best food we tried in Cambodia.

Review 101:Lack of information on arrival. We didn't even realise there was a rooftop bar/restaurant until just before we left. Upgraded room was identical to the original one we had booked.

Review 102:Cocktails were great. Spa was good for my girlfriends manicure.

Review 103:Silly little thing - the bathroom ( wet room) twas great but had no hook to hang towel : sonde we told reception I fully expect they will deal with this.

Review 104:Attententive, smiling and helpful staff. Dealt with our requests promptly and knew our names from day 1. We stayed at Raffles for one night and can honestly say that the lynnaya was by far a better experience- the tasting menu was also better than Raffles!

Review 105:Great Location close to the heartbeat Of Siem Reap..polite, extremely helpful courteous staff and management..superb design & layout...spacious rooms...fast wifi, complete lineup on cable tv ...not much more to ask for...its all here!!!

Review 106:I really enjoyed staying at the alumna ta hotel! First of all, the hotel's management arranged the meeting me at the airport. It was very important for me as I travelled alone and it was my first trip to Cambodia! Second, the staff was very friendly, polite and the most important thing - very helpful! The hotel receptionist gave me advice on tours and logistics. My tuk-tuk driver was driving safely. The tuk-tuk was very clean! I'd like to thank the restaurant's chef - the food was amazing!!! The service speed was high!) And finally - my room! It was very clean as I expected as this is vitally for me!!! So, if you ask me would I go there again, I'd say - yes) and I recommed this hotel for staying in Siem Reap.

Review 107:Staff is very friendly and they are always care about you. Great pool, beautiful and cosy territory. Restaurant is also good, delisious breakfasts. It was free transfer from the airport. On the reception it is possible to book any tour and also taxi drivers are always there. It was surprise for us as for honeymooners in the room, it was flowers everywhere, fruits and a bottle of wine, and we want to thank all the staff for our short holiday!

Review 108:Don't be fooled by the 5 star rating on Booking.com. I don't know where these ratings come from but this hotel is nowhere near 5 star being in our opinion only a 3 star hotel. The hotel is newly built but construction is poor in some areas giving it an aged feeling already. There were exposed wires in the bedroom ill-fitting cupboard doors and the entrence and bathroom floors looked filthy due to stains in the cement render. Ours was a ground floor delux room and every evening there was a strong smell of sewage from the bathroom drains, which could be smelt in the bedroom due to the room being open plan. Ordered meals and drinks from room service one night which failed to arrive. Gave up after a couple of phone calls. Breakfast is ok but only up to 3 star standards and the table cloths are left on covered in food stains from the previous customers. Its ok but if you want 4 or 5 star comfort then go somewhere else.

Review 109:The location is good being close to the old market area and resturants and bars. Very quiet even though it is situated just off a main road. The staff are pleasant and welcoming.

Review 110:Wifi in the room wasn't consistent, but in the restaurant the wifi is great

Review 111:I got a great price because the hotel was so new. I don't know if I would be as enthusiastic if I paid more. Room was like a private villa with patio Food at the restaurant was delicious Staff couldn't be more gracious Bed was very comfortable Loved that there was full bath, and large separate shower Location is what is best about the Lynnaya. You are steps away from shops and restaurants and a short tuk tuk away from Angor Wat.

Review 112:Short food menu. Hotel in the middle of construction but will be better when ready.

Review 113:Friendly staff, all activities can be booked in the lobby including visits to temples, excursions, etc. Location is perfect close to everything in the city.

Review 114:Staff very attentive, good location to explore the city, excellent breakfast, Spacious room

Review 115:Staff were superb, great location, good food

Review 116:20 m out of hotel big problem with cleaning

Review 117:Very nice people and excellent staf

Review 118:Staff, restaurant, pool, room, smaller hotel with a personal touch

Review 119:Nothing

Review 120:Position, great staff, clean.

Review 121:Location was great and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
