Review 1：The hotel needs a bit of fixing and maintenance efforts here and there. Wifi was unstable.

Decent internet and a very good breakfast with home made cakes makes this hotel a good value alternative to its neighbours.

Review 13：Good WiFi, Decent beds, Good breakfast selection, The owner cares for you in a very charming way. The room are not the kind that you want to spend a cozy day or evening. But why should you do that in Stresa? It’s around 800m to the boats to the Bella/Pescatore Islands and the charming old town. If you want to be closer you have to increase your hotel budget.

Review 22：Beautiful building on a very nice estate. We had a room with a balcony that has an excellent view of morning sunrise over lake. Balcony also makes a nice setting for afternoon drink before going to town for dinner, or to picnic. The grounds are well kept, with nice fountain, and various pets (dogs, cat, duck) that create nice ambiance. My wife and I stayed here about ten years ago and often reminisce about how fantastic our stay was. It is nice that it lived up to our expectations after all this time. The proprietor is a very nice and caring gentleman. He is a wealth of information on Stresa and surrounding area. He greets you every morning during breakfast and will help you enjoy your visit.

Review 27：We spent 2 nights in Stresa. The owner of the hotel was delightful and made us feel extremely welcome, asking what we were planning for the day and giving (very good) advice. The owners have a number of pets which made our stay feel very homely. Parking on site was safe and free of charge. There were lovely luxury touches such as Villeroy & Boch china at breakfast. Both our rooms had views of Lake Maggiore and were spotlessly clean.

Review 31：The owner is a real gentleman and always greets you in the morning and evening. He is very helpful. The hotel is comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is 15 minutes flat walk to the centre of town. There are gardens to sit and have a drink. Would recommend.

Review 32：Not in town centre. Need to walk out for meals and If doing shopping will have to lug it a distance back. Not so convenient to just nip out and get something while leaving kids in. Difficult to balance adapters on charging points some loose

Review 34：There was torrential rain while we were there, flooding the street and causing walls of water every time a vehicle went past. It was impossible to get out of the property without getting saturated. It would be very useful to have a side gate opening onto the quiet side street to provide access for pedestrian traffic.

Then we forgot our mobile there and they said they would post it to us, but I ended up having to go back after 10 days because is still had not been posted. No excuses were offered - really disappointing

He was very helpful in recommending the places to go and see. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and had a variation of things to eat. we sat in the parlour to have the breakfast and it was so nice, we didn't want to leave.

A personal welcome and a genuine care for the guests' needs made this a truly memorable stay. all of this was aside from the perfect location --close to the railway station, easy access to the cable car and to the ferry departure point. Review 74：The owner of this hotel is a real Italian gentleman. However the place has had its finest houres a few decades ago. Breakfast was good, it was served in a nice salon. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom also old-fashioned. We had a big balcony with a nice view.
