First Camp Karlstad provides fresh cabins with verandas and kitchen facilities. Guests can check in and out at their own convenience. Outside each cabin is a private parking space.
Buy food and other supplies in the campsite store. In addition, First Camp offers breakfast packages, which must be ordered one day in advance.
Guests who wish to eat out can visit Skutberget Restaurant. Only a short drive away is central Karlstad, which offers plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
Stay in shape during your visit by working out in the First Camp gym. The campsite and its surroundings offers many activities, including mini golf, canoeing and jogging. There are both rock and sand beaches nearby.

Review 1：No running water in the cabin made it a little difficult but access to the kitchen made it workable.

Review 4：We stayed there for one night while passing in the area, and the place is amazing! Beautiful and breathtaking landscapes! Caban comfortable and with all the facilities we needed.

Review 5：The price was too high for bed linen and cleaning not to be included. Also we found out only after doing the booking and planning our trip that there would be an extra 125 SEK/pers cost for bed linen and who knows how much for cleaning. (In the end we cleaned ourselves)

This cost was not made clear at all and evenlooking at their site since, nowhere is this price listed. They alsocharged us initially for 4 people despite the booking stating only 3 butthey did ultimately refund us for the one person. Beware the total costof staying here.

Review 16：Although there are fully equipped kitchenettes in the cottages, there is no running water. One needs to walk a bit to do the dishes/featch water.

Review 17：We stayed in the small cottage and enjoyed it. Toilets and showers are very clean and in a walking distance from all the cottages. The camp is also committed to recycling. The near-by beach is very nice and the staff was very friendly.

Review 19：We booked a cottage with 2 beds and toilet/shower. We asked in advance if it was okay to sleep 3 people and 2 dogs there. They said it was okay and charged 125SEK extra for the dogs. The coach had room for 2 and there would have been room for 5 persons. It was warm, clean and looked new. We brought our own linnen/towels and cleaned out ourselves so it was supercheap. And we got free coffee in the reception both at arrival and departure.
