Review 1：The layout of this resort is fantastic. The villas are ultra private, with their own swimming pools and outdoor showers and bathroom. Wonderful experience in the islands. We loved the flower bracelets they gave us on check in and the staff treated us like gold the entire stay.

Review 2：The resort has a couple of kayaks but that's all. There are SUP's & jet skis to hire down the beach but it would have been great to have more available at the resort. E,g. Catamarans

Review 4：Everything about Sala Samui was perfect. We had two children age 4 and 6 months and were well taken care of. The breakfast was amazing with so many options right by the beach. The servers and staff were very attentive and helpful when it came to my 6 month old crying at meals. The pool villa was a dream. We had a note every night from the chef with some goodies. It was a great gesture. Looking forward to coming back again!!

Review 5：They seemed to have an insect problem and pest control had to be called in during our stay. Reception staff were pretty useless- no welcome, unhelpful with local information, and ignored us as much as they could. Restaurant staff were pretty much the same with the exception of one. Just never felt like they wanted us there. My main issue with this hotel is how it prices itself and looks like luxury but the service is way below par.

Review 9：Stayed 5 days and didn't swim once at the beach as it is horribly polluted with all manner of rubbish and remnants of an oil slick that tars your feet on the beach. It was truly very bad. Other beaches on Koh Samui do not have this issue. If you are looking for an idyllic beach location you will be sorely disappointed. We had to request staff to clean the beach area as best they could. Towels at the pool area are dirty and old. Generally the hotels lacks attention to detail outside the main accommodation rooms which were nice. Spa is very expensive for what it is.

There is no doubt that it gives a unique experience, but should have been mentioned, since it won't suit everyone. The rooms and and large parts of the hotel need a "facelift" to justify the price you pay. Finally, we thought some music in the pool area could add to the vibe.

The villa we took was spaciuos ("sala pool villa"). Very clean. Overall- the Sala samui is a great choice!

Review 13：The hotel is clean and modern, great layout of the rooms. The staff are friendly, helpful and go the extra mile for the guests from the greeting when I checked in to the moment i left the hotel. I can not fault the hotel in anyway especially the staff!!!

Review 14：The staff were excellent they made our stay in SALA very comfortable. They even installed a fence around the pool cause we were worried about our toddler. The restaurant by the pool area was very good the staff there were so nice anything we asked for that was not in the menu for our baby they provided.

On arrival we found that we had been upgraded to a private garden villa with pool complimentary which was a very nice surprise as we came to celebrate a birthday. The breakfast menu and buffet was outrageously abundant in choice. We ate in the beach restaurant every night a la carte as well, very good wine list and food. Sala samui makes every guest feel special.

Buffet breakfast was superb with a good selection of local and continental dishes in their ala carte menu. We enjoyed the smoothies bar that went with breakfast. Service was great all throughout our stay.

They would say 'Sawasdee' every time they saw guests. This was different from other hotels that I'd ever stayed with before. The room offered a selection of pillows and soaps and welcome fruit and snack upon arrival. The location is good. It's close to several restaurants that are not too expensive. The Choengmon beach is not crowded and you can use their kayak for free. It was a great experience to stay at the Sala. If you want to experience something Thai and relaxing I would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 63：From the time we arrived, we were dreading to leave in 5 days time. The whole resort is so tranquil, that you get to really relax. Time went slower at Sala. We were in the Balcony rooms, but the private poll rooms and villas look amazing. Would love to go back and book one of those. The also has the best buffet...I really do believe it is the best on the island. You can order off the menu and select from the breakfast buffet. Everything was included. The staff were so friendly staff, from servers to ground staff to security. Attentive service... after a long day's travel, a welcome drink and wet towel while checking in was bliss. They bring you ice water and fruit as you lounge by the pool, and every night, they leave you messages and treats when they turn you bed! The food there is amazing, there was little incentive for us to leave the resort. We did a cooking course which was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon when it is too hot to be out.

Review 75：Villa was absolutely great!! it had a magical and special atmosphere, that we had not seen anywhere else... staff put a lot of emphasis on the small details, and that's what makes the stay so perfect... - at the after noon, they even come in to light some candles and set everything up for a the rest of the evening. the location was great for us, as we wanted to get away from the Chaweng craziness and the fireworks late at night... Sala is located in a beautiful, and kind of isolated bay (perfect for an afternoon stroll BTW) apart from the lovely and comfortable villa, restaurant served amazing breakfast (world class breakfast dishes!!), and the pools are sooo beautiful you really feel like you dont need anything else... ENJOY.

Review 77：I stayed in Garden Pool Villa - the room was imaculate and peaceful with all the facilities that you could want, plus some nice touches like complimentary fresh and dried fruit plus nuts. The bathroom is open but still private and the pool and garden were gorgeous. The grounds outside of the room are extremely well kept and the beach that the hotel is on is a lovely curving bay of soft sand with a few other bars and restaurents to chose from. If you are looking for a raucous party this is not the place for you, and that was very good by me! The beachside bar and resturant are fabulous for cocktails and dinner in the evening, and in the morning the breakfast served there is the best I have had at any top hotel. Manager Jan Lorenzen clearly loves his job and took the time to speak guests personally - this kind of attention to detail really makes a difference to your experience as a guest, particularly as I was traveling on my own.
