Reviews for Shinta Mani Club

Review 1:Excellent breakfast choices, lovely staff who did all the "little" things and with a smile. Room was very comfortable. Lap pool was a good size, shaded with plenty of places to relax

Review 2:Not one single thing.

Review 3:This hotel was the most beautifully designed of any we have ever stayed - ideal for a designer. Just gorgeous. This is a registered NGO and we were delighted to visit the houses and farm supported by the Shnta Mani Foundation. The staff were wonderful and the extra attention for us seniors was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. The displays just of breakfast foods deserved all the photographs we took, as well as the hotel itself, which has wowed our family.

Review 4:This hotel is fantastic! Highly recommend staying here if you have a few days in Siem Reap. The staff are wonderful! Always a warm welcome and nothing is too much. We were on our honeymoon and they surprised us with a cake and flowers. They offer a lot of extra touches like a mobile, detailed temple guide book and reliable transfers. The actual building looks brand new and is very clean. Definitely book in some massages and eat breakfast on the swing - very relaxing!

Review 5:Christian and his team have done an amazing job at this friendly, well run establishment. Their support of the community & the Shinta Mani foundation are making an active contribution to the Cambodian people. I can't wait to get back there!

Review 6:The staff, the staff and the staff. What a lovely bunch! We had a fantastic 4 days stay, I won't repeat the details that others have quoted but I do think the service is unprecedentedly good. Professional, caring and thoughtful. This is a hotel that is not complacent but strives to exceed expectation and win the guests' hearts everyday. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is creative and the dishes taste fresh and interesting. Try ordering something you don't normally like and you may change your mind! In addition we had a lovely garden room complete with all the mod cons one would expect but also a free mini bar, fresh fruits and gently burning aromatic oil to greet one daily after a 'hard' day of temple visits. I could go on but this hotel has made the trip worthwhile on its own, and I have not even mentioned the beauty of the land and lake... Will be back as soon as boss allows.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:I spent one week in this beautiful hotel. The location is great, the decorationl is really lovely. The breakfast is excellent. Beautiful flowers everywhere, minty smell,, lovely soundtrack in the room, "welcome home", cold towel and cold water every time you come back to the hotel, nice spa...so many details that make the difference! This is not only a luxury hotel, but a lovely boutique hotel with a soul. The soul of the hotel is the great staff: always so kind, smiling, friendly and very attentive. As solo traveller they really looked after me, making me really feel at home. I strongly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Review 9:Very friendly staff. Very attentive to details. Yummy breakfast and a la carte menu in nicely designed restaurant. Professional spa service. Swimming pool is small but chill. We can use the one in resort too.

Review 10:Friendly, attentive and professional staff do their utmost to make you feel welcome and wanted. Our room was well equipped and comfortable, the rain shower was lovely. The swimming pool was lovely and didn't taste or smell of chlorine. The hotel is beautifully decorated and a pleasure to the senses.

Review 11:We had a special khmer tasting menu what was ok but not as good as the regular dinner menu. Non the less we liked the hotel very much.

Review 12:Staff was very friendly, helpfull and interested. Nice atmosphere in hotel. Great design of rooms and hotel. Food at lunch and pool was great. Tuk Tuks from hotel are better than a street tuk tuk.

Review 13:The wifi in the room was not very stable.

Review 14:The staff at Shinta Mani were really attentive and friendly. During my stay there, we felt really pampered and well taken care of. Special thanks to Nabross and team for making my birthday so special! They surprised me with a cake and beautiful bouquet of lotus flowers. The breakfast spread was really good! My best friend and I looked forward to the amazing breakfast served every morning. I also like the fact that the hotel is playing a big role in helping the Cambodia communities through the Shinta Mani foundation.

Review 15:Nothing..

Review 16:The best thing about staying in Shinta Mani is the excellent service we received. Everyone from the General Manager to the pool maintainence guy were super friendly and they would go out of their way to cater to our needs. I can't say enough of their exceptional service! And of course, the hotel itself is beautiful and elegantly decorated, with very good location.

Review 17:Everything! Incredible service and welcome with cold flannels and water on every arrival 'back home'. Free massage by the pool and lemongrass ice-cream during the afternoon. The room, which was a twin by the pool, was comfortable and stylish with a super coffee machine. Food was excellent and the breakfast was fantastic. What really sets this hotel apart is the beautiful relaxing atmosphere and the wonderful service from all the staff. The pool was a lap pool so if you have children I would recommend you stay at the sister hotel across the road which has a bigger more child friendly pool. However we were travelling without children and this hotel is quieter and we loved it.

Review 18:Pool experience was great!! Complimentary for guest: ice creams, 15 min massage, water, coconuts,... The staff and the service was wonderful, 100% recommended.

Review 19:Shinta Mani is one of the best hotel experiences ever! Fantastic service, the room was perfect, really good restaurant and the spa offered one of the best massages we ever had.

Review 20:The staff was amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Always put their guests first and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Many useful things included in the price of rooms.

Review 21:Only one small thing they turned the Power off when turned the beds down. This mean phones/cameras did not charge. (as I said only very small issue).

Review 22:Everything was great, Food, Service, Rooms, Pool, Location.

Review 23:Weak wifi

Review 24:Excellent service that makes you feel special and at home. Staff goes out of their way to make things happen for you. Breakfast came with a great selection and we loved the swinging seats at the cafe.

Review 25:None whatsoever.

Review 26:I love everything about the place - the location, the relaxed and laid back ambience, the room which is spacious and tastefully furnished, but the what stood out was the exceptional service from a marvelous group of staff who made my stay such an enjoyable one. The best part is that the service came across as genuine and sincere - I would unreservedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 27:Staying at the Shinta Mani Club is an absolute treat, the staff, the facilities, the rooms are incredible. We loved every moment and found it to be faultless. We just hope we can come back.

Review 28:Nothing.

Review 29:The staff were all wonderful. Warm, welcoming, efficient. Delicious food. Loved the cool towels and water every time we returned to the hotel.

Review 30:Disappointed that there was no gym or workout facility.

Review 31:Friendly staff, laid-back environment, and beautiful design aesthetic. The hotel provided a free cellphone to contact guest services, a current publication of a resource book on the temples, and 2 free laundry pieces daily. All exceptionally appreciated touches.

Review 32:- hotel travel services and -excursions are not comform market prices (significantly higher). Order travel services, therefore elswhere/outside (quite easy) - no elevators (ok for us, but for others may be not...)

Review 33:- very friendly staff - comfortable rooms and bathroom - breakfast (quality and service!) - location close to many restaurants (walking distance) and relatively close to Ankgor Wat - nice size, no huge resort, far away ... - swimmingpool open until 10pm - cold towel service at departure and arrival (every day) - ample drinking water supply - free massage (10 mins) at the pool

Review 34:There was nothing that I didn't like.

Review 35:The staff friendliness and putting our needs and comforts first. We arrived at 2:30 in the morning and there was still someone there to greet us and was super helpful and nice. The breakfast was amazing...food and service were impeccable. I really loved this hotel! The best hotel that I have stayed at in a long time! Will reccomend this place to my friends.

Review 36:Slightly noisy room closest to the pool bar area.

Review 37:One of the most thoughtful places I've ever stayed. Many complimentary add-ons that really just go the extra mile to ensuring you relax and enjoy the experience.

Review 38:Lack of good variety of cheese and cold meats (charcuterie) at breakfast. Slow internet conection.

Review 39:Very nice staff. Very good level of comfort. Spacious, well appointed rooms. Very good swimming pool with good shaded areas.

Review 40:The staff were like a big family, so friendly & helpful-nothing was a bother & the went out of their way to help in every way possible. Lovely quiet pool. Breakfast was a la carte & cooked to order instead of nasty banquet style. The deluxe double rooms with pool vieware really worth the extra expense with extras thrown in & good views-ask for room 219-pool & street views.

Review 41:The lovely, very refined decoration. The kindness of the staff. The amazing breakfast on giant swing beds. The delicately perfumed air. The gorgeous flowers. The great food. The amazing spa, and so much more

Review 42:The staff were so attentive, they knew what we needed without us even asking. They even cleaned our shoes, which were extremely dusty, after visiting the temples

Review 43:Definitely nothing that we have noticed.

Review 44:Absolutely stunning and fantastic staff everything from the start to the end is perfect in all details. They have even beat the Thais for the kind of warmth and service. Every time you get back from a trip or so during the day the staff welcomes you with a refreshing towel. Iced water was always ready for us at the pool or wherever. It's just awesome

Review 45:Not the hotel's fault. Some town power outages, making WiFi testy on rare occasions,

Review 46:Everything. The lovely decor, the smiling service, flowers, the minty smell, the comfortable bed, having breakfast on a bed swing, so many details that make all the difference between an impersonal luxury hotel and this exquisite boutique hotel, were you are greeted with a " welcome home" and a cool face towel when you return from a visit to the temples or a shopping spree, the small treats scattered during the day, a small ice cream scone in the afternoon by the pool, a lovely sound track in the room, dvd's for borrowing to watch on your TV., and all the heartwarming smiles that go with it.

Review 47:Nothing to dislike at all.

Review 48:One of the best 5 hotels I have ever stayed in. Unbelievably good with great location, beautiful décor, amazing service and the most friendly, attentive and helpful staff I have ever come across. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish, even down to my leaving my iPad at the pool before we left for the airport. The hotel found it and got it to me within 20 minutes - they didn't even want me to pay for the taxi (which I insisted on). Just brilliant service and a place we need to go back to very soon.

Review 49:Not much. Floor of shower a bit slippery but not an issue.

Review 50:Excellent location and amenity. It's a boutique hotel so you get personal service. Nothing was too much trouble. Extended check out for our late departure. Very helpful staff. Good restaurants . . .

Review 51:No negatives

Review 52:One of the best may the best resorts/ hotels in our world wide travels, for design, accommodations, staff , dining and romance. This should be the standard for romantic elegant romantic travel on a boutique level. In addition it's an incredible value at about $300 per night. Id give it 6 stars in a minute. My only con is we didn't stay longer. Staff incredible

Review 53:Design of the rooms is attractive and arty but the chic, minimalist design means there were no armchairs in our Deluxe bedroom. You either had to sit on the bed or the single unpadded wooded chair at the desk area. There are wicker chairs on the balcony, but very basic and balcony too hot to use during the day - so nowhere comfortable to sit. The "minimalist chic" seems to take priority over functionality. Insufficient lighting away from the bed (had to use a torch to access my suitcase), sink area too small for 2 people, plugs at desk too low and therefore un-usable for foreign adapters which are obstructed by the desk unless you move the desk away from the wall. Rooms are attractive but paradoxically you pay more than the SM Resort and get less comfortable furniture in your room! Our poolside room at the SM Resort had much bigger bathroom, comfortable bed, 2 comfortable armchairs, ample electrical outlets, balcony and loungers. If you need quiet solitude in an attentive resort with few people, stay at the SM Club - otherwise I would get the poolside room at the SM Resort which is more comfortable and livable although full of tour groups.

Review 54:Extremely attentive and genuinely friendly staff. Staff seem very keen please and pamper. Nice little touches like the scented hand towels when you return to the hotel in a tuk-tuk and the "welcome home" greeting. We stayed at both the SM Resort and the SM Club. They are across the street from each other. The SM Club has fewer rooms and feels quieter and more relaxing. You don't feel you are competing with other guests for the facilities. Very relaxing, shaded loungers next to the lap pool are a great way to totally relax in the afternoon. Swinging eating platforms in the restaurant are an interesting way to have breakfast. Our Deluxe room had lots of space and the Nespresso style coffee machine, free minibar (including juice and beer and milk) in the fridge was a nice touch.

Review 55:Frankly nothing.

Review 56:Everything - one of the rare hotels that is really difficult to fault at anything.. Comfort, most helpful and and clearly very well guided at all levels staff, understanding of the needs of perhaps jet lagged guest, attention to detail, cleanliness of course, warm welcome (and a cold towel !) for every arriving - even from a short trip to town - guest, superb hotel architecture with every last detail designed and wonderfully drawing from Angkor Wat - a list of things we liked is very very long !

Review 57:friendliness of staff, beautiful decoration, unique ambiance, and excellent organisation of 4 am breakfast before the Angkor Wat half-marathon! and a perfect massage afterwards :)

Review 58:I would have liked a few more hangers, and a little more room to organize our clothes or even get to our luggage. It was a little cramped in the corner of our bathroom where the hanging clothes and shelf were for luggage. No drawers or real closet avail so it would have been nice to have a little more room for that....

Review 59:Almost EVERYTHING!

Review 60:Everything was very good. I was not there long enough to enjoy the facilities. Staff were excellent. Friendly. Always smiling. Bed was comfortable after a long trip.

Review 61:Staff didn't understand English very well & sometimes we had to repeat ourselves & or re-word what we said.

Review 62:Amazing customers service. Staff went above & beyond to make our staff great. Welcome to the hotel towels were delightful because we are from a cold area & we're not used to the heat. Complimenty buffet breakfast & items from menu. Fresh spring rolls were my favorite. I ordered them with ever meal )our stay was 3 full days. Complimentary pool snacks & staff fixed my ripped pants in 5 minutes. My boyfriend was surprised with a birthday cake & 10 staff member singing "happy birthday" at dinner. We were shocked & overjoyed with the thoughtfulness of the staff (neither of us told them it was his bday). Our stay was calm & quite(which is what wanted). The staff bring constant water bottles. Lady folding lotus flowers in the morning was a pleasure to watch.

Review 63:Nothing. I am fairly demanding & I would not change anything.

Review 64:Attention is given to every detail & comfort. I have traveled to 58 countries & this is as close to perfection as I have come. The decor, spa, food, staff is truly AMAZING. Do not hesitate.

Review 65:Lovely hotel with friendly fantastic staff. Beautifully decorated with Asian artifacts and fresh flowers. Great location. The staff goes out of its way to meet your needs and be helpful.

Review 66:From the moment we stepped in the door, we felt calmness and comfort. The design of the property is based on the temples of Siem Riep, and there's a feel of being in a quiet retreat throughout. The staff members were sweet, friendly and helpful without being overbearing.

Review 67:everything is excellent

Review 68:This hotel is amazing. The room was wery clean. The staff was excellent, very friendly and accomodating.Breakfast was very good. We stronglty recommend this hotel.

Review 69:Loved everything. Would love to stay again!

Review 70:Loved the whole experience. Wonderful spa treatments. Great food. Lovely room and great location. Staff is the greatest! You can also use the sister resort a few steps across the street.

Review 71:Staff are overly attentive.

Review 72:Boutique hotel, extremely friendly staff, great location and superb food. The congi at breakfast is the best we have tasted. We stayed at the Club which allows use of the Resort facilities over the road, including a larger pool and dining option. Front desk recommend restaurants and arrange bookings, as well as transport via tuk tuk or car if required. A very relaxed, welcoming oasis in the middle of Siem Reap. Can walk to river (50m) or old market area (500m). We will stay here again whenever revisiting the area.

Review 73:Wi Fi was not working properly in my room, signal coverage should be improved

Review 74:Excellent breakfast Convenient location Very well trained staff, always keen to help

Review 75:Everything was perfect, wouldn't fault a thing.

Review 76:We stayed at this lovely hotel for 5 nights. We were warmly welcomed the minute we arrived. Staffs go above and beyond for guests. Everyone are extremely friendly and attentive. It's like they can literally read your minds. Rooms are spotless, food is reasonably priced and delicious. We highly recommend it!!

Review 77:Personally would prefer a gym as well on site, but no problem without.

Review 78:Amazing service, very personal, needs always anticipated. Staff very friendly. Location fab - near river and markets + area with food/ drinks. Would highly recommend.

Review 79:The only negative was the strange loud noises at night (like rats or rattling noises) disturbed our sleep somewhat. We did not report this to the hotel at the time, and I am sure if we did they would have moved us to a different room or tried to accomodate us in some way.

Review 80:Beautiful hotel, great staff and food. Amazing breakfasts and cocktails in particular. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Review 81:Unfortunately there was something making a knocking noise in the ceiling of the bathroom at night, which led to a very disturbed sleep. When we informed the staff they told us they looked into and solved it, but this was not the case so we had a second sleepless night as a result.

Review 82:The hotel is conveniently located to be able to walk into the centre but is also on the right side of town to get out to the Angkor temples. The food at the hotel is great and the breakfast swings are fun.

Review 83:The pool was a small, but we were allowed access to the Shinta Mani Resort, which had a very nice pool.

Review 84:I liked everything about this hotel - location is just perfect - walking distance from all the action (and noise) of pub street. The ambiance was so nice and made our stay in Siem Reap very memorable. I especially liked the room layout and the bed linens used. Bathroom is just the right size with ample hot water. Flower arrangements in the lobby and around the hotel were very beautiful! The breakfast spread was pretty decent, with a very simple but tasteful ala carte menu to add to the buffer selection (came free with the package. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The cold wet towels given everytime we came back from a tour was a welcome treat! The front desk manager, Mot Sophear, was very helpful during our stay.

Review 85:Staff going above and beyond expectations - our flight was in the evening and although they had another booking in our room, they moved us to a clean room for free and let us check out at 5pm Location Facilities Happy Hour at the bar!

Review 86:I didn't like leaving

Review 87:Amazing staff

Review 88:Very polite staff who tried hard to make sure that everything was to our liking. Tour and pick up arrangements were well done.

Review 89:There is nothing that is not to like

Review 90:Outstanding customer service. Nothing is toomuch trouble.

Review 91:Loved the little extras like bubbles when you arrive, complementary shoe clean, lots of flowers in the room and wonderful breakfasts. A great stay.

Review 92:can't come up with anything not to like.

Review 93:Everything, everything, everything - especially the staff!

Review 94:Warm, welcoming staff

Review 95:we had a few issues with wifi in our room, but otherwise wifi was readily accessible

Review 96:Superb hotel, design, service - a luxury experience

Review 97:Amazing hotel - great location and friendly staff.

Review 98:As a solo female traveller, was comfortable and well-looked after. Staff very attentive and friendly. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Review 99:everything was OK, maybe a gym is missing.

Review 100:excellent staff!!! The location is excellent in Siam Reap (close to Angkor Wat and the city centre).

Review 101:We wish we could stay forever!

Review 102:Your team of people is very warm and genuine. Well-trained and ever helpful. Keep up the good work.

Review 103:Everything about the hotel

Review 104:WIFI issue that was resolved.

Review 105:Great staff, great manager, great style and design. Nothing was too much trouble - use of sister hotel over the road.

Review 106:Best value for luxury ever. Personalised service with great personal touches.

Review 108:Service better than anything I have eperienced

Review 109:Nothing was too much trouble. It was my wife's birthday and unsolicited they made a cake and a group sang to her at our door.

Review 110:One of the best hotel in the world

Review 111:Everything perfect!

Review 112:The staff are kindly and lovely, everything in hotel is pretty beautiful and the breakfast and the restaurant are very good.

Review 113:Excellent staff - caring, cheerful and efficient. Faultless. Perfect location; relaxing, elegant decor; fantastic restaurant!

Review 114:there was some confusion with the bill at the end that was annoying

Review 115:Incredible service from the staffs!

Review 116:Nothing!

Review 117:Staff service Room facilities and decor Easy access to town and temples Swimming pool and happy hour
