Reviews for Eurotel Lanaken
Review 1:Unorganised. Breakfast was very expensive so we had to get up and go out every morning for it.
Review 2:Patrick on reception was the best part of the stay at the hotel. All staff were very friendly but it was quite unorganised. 1st we were told we had to move to another hotel as it was overbooked. Then we booked a bus home from town from the Andre Rieu concert and it never turned up. We were do mad but Patrick handled the situation so well we will definitely be back.
Review 3:no AC, though fan provided and an openable window. which reduces quietness as not far from a busy road.
Review 4:staff. exceptionally helpful and attentive. nothing too much trouble. room sizes. quietness and decent car park.
Review 5:It was quiet alright till I went to the reception that the remotecontrol was missing it and no solution after my stay didn't getcompensation yet and stupid answers from reception.
Review 6:Hotelbar, beds, tv if you have remote(stayed here more times),good shower.
Review 7:Cleaning and towel changout great first couple of days, then reduced to below acceptable after 8-10 days.
Review 8:Fantastic room, very big, but requires upgrading. Good facilities
Review 9:- VERY noisy (windows are not really isolated and there is a lot of traffic at night) - dirty rooms (dead insects in the room, moldy bathroom, equiment damaged, bathroom window could not be closed, spider webs and dust everywhere) - poor service (waiter and receptionist) - intransparent pricing (additional charges upon arrival) - way too expensive for the overall condition of the hotel!
Review 10:- The interior in the bar/restaurant area (at first glance, but don't look at the details ...) - Location (could be great, if windows were sound-proof)
Review 11:Having to pay for the car park.
Review 12:We liked the location, the layout of the hotel, the accommodation and the staff were extremely accommodating.Breakfast had a vast choice and the lunch / dinner menue was more than adequate.
Review 13:Worn out towels No tea making facility in our rooms Dinner quality quite poor Water pressure in the bath made bathing impossible. ( due to time taken to fill the bath)
Review 14:Staff very helpfully and friendly. Building generally inviting and spacious. Breakfast menu excellent.
Review 15:informal yet comfortable
Review 16:Had to pay for breakfast, rooms were very standard and not the cleanest
Review 17:Location is absolutely beautiful
Review 18:Dirty cutlery at every meal
Review 19:Spacious room, comfortable bed, good food
Review 20:No aircon in hotel
Review 21:Andre Rieu concert
Review 22:Nice room, pleasant staff, overall experience good.
Review 23:Fitness center should be open 24 hours and available with room key.
Review 24:Very comfortable place to stay with nice features.
Review 25:Split buildings
Review 26:Good hotel with good food and attentive staff, ideal for stop over
Review 27:Overall it was very satisfactory and welcoming
Review 28:smell of corridors. restaurant service was slow and food was pricey, but food was good nonetheless
Review 29:rooms are clean. peaceful area. nice staff. comfortable night.
Review 30:we had room 58. You can hear the cars from the street. The bathroom was very old and not clean. there was dirt behind the curtains. the carpets are used and some have stings on it
Review 31:no coffee/tea in room, but was a mini bar with 3 drinks in it. hotel charged me more than agreed price via Booking.com.
Review 32:easy parking rooms comfy breakfast OK!!!! pleasant atmosphere
Review 33:The hotel manager was extremely rude when complaining that items had been added to the bill which we never had. When I said that something similar had happened the previous time we were there, his reply was that if it was more then 6 months ago it was not his problem because he was only there 6 months. He said that he did not care if we ever would go back there or not. Well you can be sure we will not !!!!!!!
Review 34:Needs up dating, bathroom floors incredibly slippy. The cushions to sleep on very poor even two did not make a full one. rooms poorly tidied, needs a reform to bring it up to standard. The charge for breakfast very high 17,00 euros, expensive for what it was.
Review 35:The receptionists were very friendly and helpful
Review 36:Hotel is in need of a super upgrade! In the guest halls it smells of sewage and the carpets in the hallways are full of clorox spots and very old! I will not stay there again due to smell and filty carpets in hallways!
Review 37:We liked the beds and comforters. Very good warm and cold running water! We liked the surroundings also very much.
Review 38:I could not sleep well there, because they put me in a corner next to a closet, where they kept all of their cleaning equipment. I was woken every hour. No wifi access in any room that I have ever had there.
Review 39:Good staff Good location
Review 40:At checking out the reception automatically assumed we had 2 people per room. The hotel automatically charged for 2 breakfastes. The excess charges were refunded; however it was not possible to get a correted bill which we needed for reimbursement from our company. Furthermore, the attitude of the receptionist was not very customer friendly. I don't plan to stay in this hotel again.
Review 41:The food was good but if your planning an evening out after your meal ,make sure you give yourself plenty of time as evening meal can take up to 3 hours, also the receptionist could be more informative ,instead of taking a taxi in to maastricht for 25 euros ,there is a bus stop 100m from the hotel and it goes to maastricht for 2euros
Review 42:It was clean and tidy and food was good
Review 43:The room was dirty when we arrived,it was smelly & obviouslyhdn't been aired in a long time. Light bulbs were missing. Electricswitches were broken. Fabric on the sofa was torn and patched with blacktape. On the whole,it gave the appearance of a hotel that urgently needsan upgrade. The restaurant is expensive for the food offered. The service was awful. It took more than 20' to get our starter in an empty restaurant. we ordered gnocchi and got ordinary pasta shells.very expensive for a very average meal
Review 44:The location Friendliness of reception staff the spacious room .Althoughwe did boo a luxury room
Review 45:No air con
Review 46:Excellent staff service from Sonia and Manouk in reception and Carlos in the dining/bar area. Patrick the Restauranter's English translation for menu was excellent..along with the beef in beer dish - outstanding!
Review 47:I didn't notice anything to complain about. All was very good.
Review 48:The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Although I arrivedafter closing time of the restaurant kitchen, they still served me adelicious meal. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. And thebest thing: I was very glad that I could park my motorcycle in one ofthe bycicle garages, so I didn't have to leave it on the street.Next time I travel to this region again by motorcycle, I'll try tobook this hotel again.
Review 49:Still empty bottles in the mini-bar- no phone in the room to tell them. - Hairs on the sheets of the previous ones - too thin and rather small bathtowels - no soap rack in the shower - old fashioned shower with curtain, and hose at your back. No coffee machine in the room (luxury room).
Review 50:The size of the (luxury)room and bathroom Nice people at the reception, taking our complaints of the restaurant seriously (bad luck with the timing: new kitchen staff and menu apparently). Large parking. Position, close to Lanaken and Maasmechelen Village.
Review 51:The breakfast was very expensive (17 Euro) and as a result we didn't book it.
Review 52:It was very quiet because it is outside of the city. The parking was very easy and convenient. It is only about 8 minutes from Maastricht so we could enjoy the area without spending much money for a hotel. No carpeting in the rooms! We always like hard floors in hotel rooms for cleanliness.
Review 53:The infra-structure of the hotel is very cheap. You can hear all noises from all floors in every room. VERY NOISY.
Review 54:The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way.
Review 55:On the hotel booking website it was advertised as being juts 500 metersaway from Chateau Neercanne...this of course turned out to be deceptiveas its almost 10 km away!
Review 56:Good breakfast, friendly staff.
Review 57:No tea facilities in room! Terrible coffee at breakfast. They have proper coffee machines there but don't use them at breakfast. That would be enough to stop me going there again, which is a shame, as ostensibly, the hotel was fine.
Review 58:Good value, decent quality.
Review 59:The staff in the restaurant could take a charm course. Wifi coverage in the restaurant could improve. Could not find omelette to the breakfast and one day was the actimel out.
Review 60:Nice rooms, great quality of the beds. Great staff in the reception. The Bar had the best Beligan beers.
Review 61:I had previously stayed at this hotel last year, when I arrived I wasrecognised immediately by the lovely friendly receptionist who offeredme an upgrade for five euro extra which I accepted.
Review 62:What I did not like: 1) Breakfast ends at 10, when at normal 4* hotels you have breakfast until 11 2) The hotel is well decorated, but not renovated. You do not feel like it is a real 4* hotel. 3) SPA was not for free - 9 Eur per person 4) They did not offer towels in the pool
Review 63:The hotel itself is ok. 1) Location is also fine, if you come by car. Not too far from Maastricht and Maasmechelen. 2) Parking is free. 3) The heating worked well. 4) Food is good. 5) There are a lot of restaurants in the area (again, by car). No problem to find a good place for dinner. 6) People are very friendly.
Review 64:Wifi slow, price high for the overall service.
Review 65:Position, staff very helpful, kitchen good, parking easy at reasonable price.
Review 66:Breakfast should be included with price.

Review 74:The game menu at the restaurant and the Saturday evening buffet
Review 75:Cost of breakfasts. Cost of drinks
Review 76:Ambience
Review 77:lack of coffee/tea making facilities!!
Review 78:expensive taxi into Maastricht and return
Review 79:Knowledgeable, informative and helpful front desk staff.

Review 93:Additional payment for sauna, old and very small swiming pool. Ifyou plan to use these facilities do not go there. Extra charge forcard payment.
