Reviews for Angkor Miracle Resort & Spa
Review 1:It was exactly what we asked for! Perfect if your wanting to get away and relax. The food was superb!Breakfast got a lot of choice. Highly recommend this resort & spa. Will definetely come back! Thanks to the great manager Mr.Keansin :) great staff you have.
Review 2:The hotel is outside of the city center- too far to walk into town. Hotel offers free shuttle service into the city center a few times a day. Otherwise you can take a taxi or tuc tuc for $4.
Review 3:Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast with a lot of options. Clean and spacious rooms. Great pool.
Review 4:The hotel is a bit further ($4 in a Tuk Tuk) from the center of the city. Breakfast was average.
Review 5:The hotel was very nice and clean. Great value for the money.
Review 6:the corridors look a bit desolate and the access to the swimming pool is through either the restaurant or the lobby which is a bit awkward in your bathing suit and robe.
Review 7:the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. the swimming pool and the spa the comfort of the room all the discounts they give in low season
Review 8:The hotel Management seems to be unwilling to assist travels in need; On Sunday, due to an ATM issue, it wasn't possible get withdraw any money, anywhere in Siem Reap (seems to somewhat of a common problem with many int'l travelers); as we were in urgent need for Cash and considering we would stay for the remainder of the week in the hotel, we asked the hotel managment to be willing to assist us in offering Cash, using our credit card at the hotel or have it charged to our final billing... They refused! I'm an int'l business traveler and never experienced such...
Review 9:Outdoor pool; cleanliness and friendliness of the staff are all very OK. Also go for a Khmer-massage...
Review 10:Although we'd only booked in for Christmas we ended up staying for New Year, too. Lovely hotel, fantastic staff, gorgeous town - we're really glad that we spent the extra time in Siem Reap and at the Angkor Miracle.
Review 11:-The hotel is located close to the airport but quite far from the city center and Angkor National Park. -The staff is friendly but needs better training and management (orders were not well processed, bills were not correct, etc.)
Review 12:The hotel offers decent facilities and rooms for a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly.
Review 13:Quite contrary to some of the reviews about friendliness of the staff, I found few to be hostile and most of them quite incompetent.During buffet breakfast on December 29, 2014 on the 2nd floor restaurant, my wife picked up some food using a utensil that was laid in front of the food. One of the women chefs by the name of Nari (sp.) got mad and chastised my wife for using the wrong utensil to pick up the food. My wife responded that she used the utensil which was lying in front of the food but she expressed her anger and, worse yet, contempt. I pointed out to the assistant manager and the head chef that Nari had no right to treat my wife in a contemptuous manner because (1)my wife did no wrong and (2)as a person in the service industry, she should not treat guests who pay money to stay at the hotel with such hostility. After all, she has her job because guests pay to stay at the hotel. When the head chef asked her to apologize, she said I am sorry in a most insincere manner and grinned and walked away. Even my teenage son could see that her apology was phony. I felt obliged to take this matter up to a higher level so that other guests would not be subject to such humiliation by people like Nari.I talked with the general manager, Vincent who is a Filipino national, about this problem. He stated that it would not happen again but I got the sense that nothing would be done. The general atmosphere is that there are many group tourists who book with the hotel that there is really no need to try to upgrade the quality of services provided by the staff. I pointed out to Vincent that his staff is mediocre and told him that when I asked for an iron, housekeeping brought an old one that had rust on the bottom so that rusty stain would color the cloth. Or when my son purchased cake from the ground floor cafe, he was not given the 50% discount for making the purchase after 5:00 PM.
Review 14:The spa is staffed by friendly and competent people. The hotel also has a nice pool.
Review 15:We liked everything here but in particular: Excellent breakfast buffet to suit any pallet. Friendliness of staff in particular towards the children. The lobby sets the scene for the whole hotel. The pool was lovely after a trip to the temples. The christmas eve gala was much better than expected-the food was first class and the entertainment was professional. We have stayed in a lot of hotels -also for business and angkor miracle was a fine hotel!
Review 16:the tv channels were unclear.
Review 17:spacious and clean room, beautiful calm hotel.very good breakfast with variety of opions to choose from .gala dinner was well organiced and the food was fantastic .delighted that CDO or orphanage children were invited to sing carols and be part of the gala dinner.RITA breakfast staff was kind and helpful.
Review 18:There was no alcohol available in the hotel on Christmas eve as all resources were dedicated to their christmas party . What was a shame was that the staff were drinking and getting drunk on the job that night and very poor service .
Review 19:The cleanliness and spacious room with good bathroom . Good varied breakfast with good choice for vegetarians
Review 20:Wifi is not stable, The Toiletries could be better, maybe have razor as well, Phone wasn't working
Review 21:Friendly Staff, Spa... they have an amazing Hot Compress massage, food buffet was nice, pool was great
Review 22:Slow Wi-Fi , had to stand in certain place in room. But who cares, when you can shop & see temples!
Review 23:Ambience of hotel, friendly staff, huge swimming pool, comfy bed, spray shower , Karama Spa, breakfast, best waffles, gift shop, and Tuk-Tuk $4.00 dollar rides to town! Would recommend to all my friends, I will be back! Buy 3 day pass to see all the temples!
Review 24:Wifi was poor reception in some area of rooms. Shower in my room seems clogged and overflown. I forgot to tell this to the reception. All other things are truely amazing!
Review 25:Breakfast was amazing and delish. noodle soup, omlette and fried noodle bar with chefs are very yummy and freshly made. Receptionist and lianson people are extremely helpful and friendly, arranged reliable taxi and tuk tuk. These drivers are also very nice. All the staffs including cleaners are friendly too. Very comfy bed. Nice interior decor.
Review 26:nice spacey rooms, wifi was difficult to connect to, pool staff were outstanding, got our sandwiches an hour after we ordered them at the café which was disappointing, very centrally located and close to Angkor Wat, staff eager to please. Overall a lovely experience.
Review 27:If you want to try food outside of the hotel, it takes $3-$4 worth of tuktuk ride per way to go to places like Pubstreet. They do provide free drop-offs to the city center but it is limited in the morning. So if you are commuting and want to eat lunch and dinner outside, you need to plan it ahead before deciding to go back.
Review 28:This hotel offers helpful and polite staff, quiet and serene room with a view of their pool and decent facilities needed to make your holiday in Siem Reap relaxing and worry-free. They also provide free roundtrip airport transfers in a van. There are plenty of cheaper hotels but if you want to splurge a little for a little luxury, this is the perfect place to be in and its worth every dollar you spend here.
Review 29:We were made to wait about 25 minutes for our room although we arrived at 5pm which is well past the check-in time of 2pm. Also we paid for a pool view room but were given a corner room (263) from where the pool could not be seen at all; we could see a car park instead. The snacks menu in the bar could do with some improvement.
Review 30:Staff were friendly and could speak good English. Facilities in the hotel were clean and good. The spa was value for money.
Review 31:location - cannot really walk around, and away from the town. however, Cambodian cultural village was just across (which was a plus). construction is going on in the property next to hotel. poor wifi.
Review 32:staff was friendly and professional, room's interior design was nice, spa premises were amazing, very beautifully decorated, and most importantly, massage was really good
Review 33:Nothing!!!
Review 34:Near to airport, reached to hotel and airport in less than 10 minutes, don't have to worry about being late. The rooms are huge and pleasantly decorated. Very clean n the beds smells good...clean!!! Choice for meals fantastic, a lot of varieties. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Worth for the money.
Review 35:There was construction the 4 days we were there. The restaurant for dinner is not good and way overpriced. Hotel Shuttle service to downtown is only in the morning and at night...nothing in the afternoon.
Review 36:Hotel was clean and staff were nice. Pool was great. Breakfast buffet was great. Would recommend it.
Review 37:No negatives. A wonderful, value for money stay. First class.
Review 38:The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. I was on my own and there was not anything more they could have done for me, to make my stay so memorable. The staff are amazing and truly beautiful people. They treated me like a queen and yet a family member.
Review 39:Trouble with booking, the staff made mistake but did not rectified, we request 3 people in one room, and we recieved email that it was for no additional charged but once we checked in the reservation staff told us we need to pay extra, after long convo we did come to agreement that we will not pay for xtra but they said we can't have our breakfast for free, apart from that I had a great stay and I already recommended a few friends that coming over in a couple months,
Review 40:The swimming pool is awesom, the hotel deco is great as well, the staff are friendly
Review 41:Only problem was the wi-fi internet. Connection was weak.
Review 42:Smiling staff, good price, convenient location, great view
Review 43:the amazing staff...
Review 44:Too far from town
Review 45:Swimming pool, spacious rooms, free wifi, free shuttle to airport
Review 46:Let me check-in very early
Review 47:The Hotel stuff is very very friendly, helpful and considerate.
Review 48:Poor internet connection in room. Large groups of Korean guests, very noisy late at night
Review 49:Friendly restaurant staff
Review 50:Really lovely resort, very relaxing place. Poolside villa was great loved the swing on the terrace.
Review 51:Hotel is quite far from city centre
Review 52:Good and flexible service from friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet, close to airport
Review 53:Compulsory for Xmas dinner!
Review 54:Smiling people Comfort room
Review 55:Location was a bit further away from town
Review 56:Very good staff
Review 57:The customer service was excellent. Very attentive and cater you needs
Review 58:Gym - few equipments
Review 59:Clean rooms Friendly staffs Nice food Swimming pool Sauna View
Review 60:Limited breakfast choices. No food shops around. Expensive Spa.
Review 61:Free Airport transfers.
Review 62:There is no chair for the table. the bench not very comfortable.
Review 63:The staffs performance is good and the room rate is excellent.
Review 64:Bed a little hard
Review 65:Reasonable food prices Great decor Great room size Amazing people on staff
Review 66:Food, staff, location, facilities
Review 67:Took 40 minutes to check in.
Review 68:The room, facilities, location, and overall service are quite good.
Review 69:1) Location near to Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap. 2) Free airport transfer
Review 70:location.. room also a bit old fashioned.
Review 71:Staff were excellent
Review 72:Check in process. Despite the front desk lady saw me queuing up, she served the other lady that jumped the queue. Well, I voiced out, but going forward it needs to be better structured.
Review 73:Value for money. Paid 178USD for 3 nights between the 2 of us. Wouldn't call it 5 star standard. But for this price, it's great! Tuktuk to the city center will add 3 or 4USD per way.
Review 74:Nothing. Every member of the staff were so gracious, caring and kind from the cleaners to the management. You do not find this kind of caring in other places in the world - beautiful people the Cambodians.
Review 75:The staff were so kind and considerate. My wife is in a wheelchair and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel does not have bathroom facilities for disabled but they brought a plastic chair. The tuk tuk driver No 4 was so kind and got special permission to get my wife as close as possible to Angkor Wat.
Review 76:I am from Philippines and normally travels around Asia. I would always look for a place to be comfortable and affordable – this place, Angkor Miracle is really a miracle to travelers. The people will kill you with their kindness. I even love to stay in the hotel than tour around, but of course I have to see the world outside. From the food, the room, the pool, the sorbet, to everything is perfection. I recommend this place, it’s awesome !!
Review 77:They are carrying out refurbishments the work starts 6.30 to 6.45 in the morning. Very useful for early risers. Not so good for some one who likes sleep
Review 78:Excellent Hotel
Review 79:the internet connection kept cutting out
Review 80:the staff are friendly and breakfast has a great selection. the pool is really relaxing as it was hot with deck chairs to relax.
Review 81:There are weak areas for the wifi in the room where we stayed. But if you go out in the lobby or in their restaurant or near the swimming pool area, the wifi signal is very strong.
Review 82:Everything was in good condition! If we will come back, we would stay in the same hotel.
Review 83:Me & my wife had a wonderful time. The spa was a mavelouss experience. The hotel staffs & their service was overwhelming. I recommend this hotel for others whom visiting Siem Reap. Simply it's an unforgettable experience.
Review 84:Hot water was not hot all the 5 days we stayed there. It was less than luke warm even after having the shower turned on completely to the hot water side. Their travel desk person was less than friendly. They charged different rates depending on where you went irrespective of you rent the guide for the full day. The rent of the Van/transport was also not consistent.
Review 85:I liked the overall hotel cleanliness and comfort. Most staff were friendly. No case of theft in any of our rooms as I read in the internet. Good for families to stay.
Review 86:All the usual things from a 5* hotel that you dont like really dont apply here!
Review 87:The service from check in to checkout was first rate, the staff were fantastic, helpful and genuinely happy to be there which added to the welcome feeling. The facilities are also first rate from the breakfast onwards the food was great and the pool area was perfect for lounging. The rooms also had a great view and are impeccably clean.
Review 88:The staff at the cafeteria (close to the reception) was very slow. Poor selection of breakfast and it was crowded, difficult to find clean table. The walls are very thin so we heard every noise from the corridor..
Review 89:Nice place with huge rooms. The room was clean and well eqipped.
Review 90:this is really a 5 star hotel … and everything is affordable inside the hotel. The location was next to everything u would want to see and the staff was amazing.
Review 91:Service promised a lot (e.g. "would you like a free drink, while you wait for your room"), we never received anything.
Review 92:I would consider this hotel an "average hotel" in international standards. Bearing in mind that Cambodia is not a rich country.
Review 93:My wife and I stayed there for few days. We had travelled a lot and stayed many hotels, but this hotel provided the best quality with the highly competitive price. Room was great with great view (vast area of tropical forest) and foods were highly satisfactory (the best morning buffet) and spa provided nice massages at unbelievable price. Spa provides 30% discount to hotel guests on originally cheap price. So we totally enjoyed the luxury of massage services. I could say again that The beauty of this hotel is the best quality with highly competitive price. And especially Spa !!!
Review 94:U can find some Wifis named miricla swim pool 1~5 In your room. But in the busy hour. 7-10 pm specially. the connection is quite unstable. Even the wifi signal is full. Your device will just tell u the message was being sent. Other time the wifi can just send out only text message. Forget the image and video.
Review 95:location; front desk staff's courtesy not extended
Review 96:cleanness, courtesy of staffs (other than the front desk) at pool, house keeping, guest service, and bell desk
Review 97:The building work going on in the hotel and also the new hotel beingbuilt next door, work starts at 8am till 4.30pm Everyday, yes everyday soforget trying to have a long lie in bed,no chance, they started Hammerdrilling 2 doors down ,icomplain and eventuly duty manger came up ,hegot to my floor and could hear it in the lift, thought would sort it,Nothey just kepted on till 4.30pm,then Mnger came at 9pm to offer us anupgrade, great ,a junior suite, after calling front desk 4 time ,30 minslater, carried our own stuff down to new room, thought ok this isgreat,,,,8.30 Building work starts on both our hotel and new hotel, imean hammering, disk cutting, stone cutting, hammer drilling ,you nameit,so forget lazing at the poolside drifting off to sleep, nochance, apart from that I cant fault anything,,what a shame ,could be agreat place with out major building going on,they should put it in therad that theres building work 8.30 am everyday till 4.30pm
Review 98:The hotel was very nice, great breakfast, everything would be great ifthere was no major building work going on,
Review 99:As a five stars hotel, the provision of international cursine looks not enough. it is better to have a different resturants to provide Italian food, French food, Chinese food or Japanese food can help to uplift the image of the hotel.
Review 100:Generally speaking, this hotel is very attarctive in price and location.
Review 101:We had to wait more than one hour to check in even though we arrived after 2 p.m. The same happened with checking out, staff seems confused a lot. The hotel has no charm, people seem overworked and tired. Breakfast was nothing special. There are many better choices in Siem Reap which are also much closer to the city. Would not recommend this hotel.
Review 102:Swimming pool was nice but cold
Review 103:poor wireless connections in room, only works in the lobby or grand floor
Review 104:great poor, nice view, great staff, great service, generally speaking it is a wonderful stay experience.
Review 105:very noisy, construction site in and outside the hotel 5 star service, but not 2 star guests... mainly big and noisy groups wouldnt book again in this hotel
Review 106:nice room, good food
Review 107:Hotel was not prepared for us when we arrived. We had asked for three rooms on one floor. They had confirmed request, but did not have the rooms all on one floor when we arrived. One of us had to wait until 7PM to get into the room. Staff was deficient in English, so they could not understand conversations very well.
Review 108:The hotel was nice. The pool was beautiful, but construction in surrounding buildings caused disruption in peacefulness of outdoor space.Great shower in room. Terrific buffet breakfast.
Review 109:It was noisy with construction throughout the building. The customer service was pretty much non-existent. We asked to be moved three days in a row but it never happened. The New Year's gala dinner was very expensive and very poor value for the money. The checking process was painfully slow and the level of English was low. The hotel is far from a resort and I would not stay there again or recommend my friends to do so.
Review 110:The food was decent and the cleaning and bell staff was very friendly.
Review 111:It is a building cite!! Everyday from half seven until you call to complain they are gemeint and sawing...the first night I thought it was an exception and waited till nearly midnight...but it went on for all five days. and I would say it is going to be weeks until they are finished, as there are three Student areas....Really not acceptable.
Review 112:In generell the hotel would be a nice place to stay, pool area nice, food ok, location acceptable if you want to be away from the busy center.
Review 113:Nois from surrounding area Not so proximate to downtown Very simple gym
Review 114:Good overall impression Very friendly staff Nice Room style Nice Pool area Good breakfast
Review 115:- Noise from the next hotel - Noisy renovation going on - Staff did not seem well informed about long distance transportation possibilities (to Phnom Penh)
Review 116:- Great facilities (pool, spa,...) - Helpful staff - We had a very nice Xmas celebration - Amazing breakfast with all possible kinds of food
Review 117:the staff very bad attitude, especially female receptionist. took almost 40 min. to check in. very rude. spa staff especially manager horrible. no hot water for the whole day. will never come bk
Review 118:The wifi connection was not working that well through out our stay. The location is slightly away from siem reap city and angkor wat, it took us a bit of time to travel around. Otherwise, everything else were perfect!
Review 119:We arrived in the early morning way before our check in time, it was boxing day. When we thought there was no hope in checking in early, they made a room available for us. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. There are all sorts of facilities here at the resort. There was a wide range of choice for breakfast too.
Review 120:Check-in took long. Initially allotted to a room below my reserved level. They changed it but took a few hours before my new room got allotted. Checked in on Christmas eve and was forced to pay for the Gala Dinner in which we had no interest.
Review 121:Staff was very nice and polite.
Review 122:This would be a good 4* but it is not 5* standard as you know it from Thailand and elsewhere in the region. Internet was not stable. Gym only partly functional. Siem Reap is a bit of a tourist trap but at the same time an experience. Expect certain things to be overcharged. We felt it was okay in the end to contribute a bit extra, knowing the immense challenges and horrors this region is still recovering from.
Review 123:The kindness and friendliness of hotel staff and all Cambodians we met. Hotel close to airport. 4$ tuktuk to town centre. Nice breakfast buffet. Large and clean rooms. Good for families.
Review 124:Concierge was often not around when we wanted to book something.
Review 125:We checked out at 5am. There was to taxi available. The staff helped us asap by driving us to the airport for free.
Review 126:Breakfast was not sufficiently varied. Always same fruits, over cooked veggies. No whole grain bread. Cheap sugary jams, etc.
Review 127:The pool, even though the water cod have been warmer.
Review 128:The UHT milk but this the case everywhere in Cambodia and Vietnam i our experience
Review 129:The reception area was wonderful, welcome drinks and cold towels on arrival. Concierge very helpful, great tours. Outstanding across the board. Wonderful restaurant extremely affordable and buffet breakfast with extensive selections.
Review 130:Hotel was under renovation during our stay with drilling and hammering in the next room. No mention of it on booking.com. Luckily the staff were very accommodating with changing our room as well as giving us an upgrade. Additional services may be charged. Ie. iron board and iron, adapter etc. drilling and thumping during manicure and pedicure. Drilling and thumping during massages. A little far from city centre so tuk-tuk ride cost approximately Usd$4 each way. Shuttle only at 7pm into town from the hotel. Gym was not well maintained, small and limited. The weight machine cords were all twisted.
Review 131:Good variety for breakfast. Good sized rooms. Good value hotel restaurant and room service. 30% off vouchers for spa. 20% off for restaurant and poolside dining. Doesn't include room service. Airport pickup and drop off.
Review 132:Found no weaknesses
Review 133:Very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms and the surrounding facilities such as the garden are wonderful and very well maintained. Good location, 20 minutes drive from the temples and the same from the city. Excellent and reach breakfast.
