Review 1：Staff was extremely friendly. They were able to speak english well. The rooms provided a beautiful view of the lake. They also had exquisite dinners and a nice breakfast buffet. If I make it back to Stresa, I will surely stay there.

Review 14：The staff were not the most helpful we have come across. When we discovered that this hotel likes to switch its air conditioning off for almost half the day we were not best pleased, especially since northern Italy was in the grip of a 33 degree heatwave during our stay. No amount of asking would change this policy - we were furious at this attitude so you can put us down as officially "not happy" paying customers. The wi-fi connection is dreadful here. It takes an age to connect and, once you have, you lose the link within minutes, especially if you don't use your device for a short while. This hotel appears to rely on coach parties staying, as we discovered when the entire hotel lounge was taken over by a walking party who proceeded to discuss their next day's itinerary. Whilst we accept they have as much right to stay as we did it would have been better if the hotel had asked them to use the large dining room for their meeting. In a all a very disappointing stay - we would not recommend this hotel.
Review 15：The location of the hotel close to the ferries out to the islands was ideal. The underground car park was useful in keeping our car out of sight and secure.
Review 16：Noisy nearby traffic. At times, we felt less valued than guests who were part of a large organised group. Eg on arrival, we were told that the restaurant was closed as a group was not arriving as scheduled.

Review 27：The location is ideal for visiting Isola Bella. Our room was lovely and had a balcony and view of the lake/islands. Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Secure parking. Good restaurant. Boat stop in walking distance, five minutes if that.
Review 28：Starting with a unfriendly receptionist. SShe shod us the room, very noisy-we ask if we could change the room, she went checking and never came back, we waited for exactly 20 minutes. Unluckily the hotel is between a very busy mainroad and train track.The Jacuzzi was not working despite complain. In all not the most accommodating hotel.
Review 29：The hotel would benefit from a mini bus link to Stresa central. It is a very long hot walk in summer. They could combine with other neighbouring hotels to provide this service. Rather close to a busy road so traffic noise is a problem.At breakfast a variety of fresh fruit instead of tinned would be appreciated. Only fresh apples were offered.

I am sure my mother and I gained 5 kilos, but it was worth it. Staff were very proper and personable. Also helpful. The gardens and lakes were beautiful, which were enhanced by the lovely weather. A delightful trip overall.
