Reviews for Geirangerfjorden Feriesenter

Review 1:None.

Review 2:The view from the cabin is excellent, it overlook the lake and fjord. Cabin was very clean and facilitated. It was away from the crowd as in the village but only 2 min drive to the village if needed.

Review 3:There was an extremely nauseating/ pungent orange freshener which we had to leave outside. After 3 days the horrible smell was still there. The fridge stank so badly of chlorine we could not use it. The Wifi was extremely slow - I could not use it for the entire stay.

Review 4:This is a family friendly campsite right next to the Fjord, within 15 minutes walk on the highway to Gerainger town centre. Suitable for those who enjoy camping outdoors.

Review 5:Note that bed linen and towels cost 100 NOK per person, and you need to fix them yourself. we stayed in the superior cottage where wifi was weak, also parent bedroom and kitchen was too small, I would recommend the smaller cottage.

Review 6:Great Location Nice room, although it is not look like in the pictures

Review 7:A bit small for 5 people

Review 8:Excellent location. Situated near the shore with a most beautiful view. Cosy summer houses, a bit small for 5 people, but all in all very good. The town is close by, 2 km from the site.

Review 9:The wifi is very mediocre, but it is free, and when in a place so beautiful, wifi is definitely not the most important consideration.

Review 10:The location is excellent (right at the base of Eagle Road) and the price was reasonable all things considered. The cottages are basic but quite comfortable and clean.

Review 11:Nothing,was absolutely fantastic location

Review 12:We loved the view from our cottage, superior cottage number 7 has superb views.Swedish girl on reception very helpful and friendly.Cottage was really nice and comfortable, bedrooms were very small so it was good to have a second bedroom for our luggage. We stayed 3 nights but could have stayed longer.A good distance from town away from cruise crowds. Fantastic hiking nearby

Review 13:Nothing extreme Would have liked a cottage with twin or double bed instead of double bunks for two seniors Bedside table and maybe some hooks for coats near the door, especially if it has been raining

Review 14:Excellent location Very relaxing

Review 15:The cottage was very small. no place for luggage in the living rooms. The kitchen had not enough space for preparing meals. The fridge had no refrigerating unit. No soap in the tiny bathroom. Reception hours in the morning starts very late. In summary, no value for the high price we paid.

Review 16:the view. Parking near the cottage. Proximity to town center.

Review 17:in front of the cabin there is one row of mobilhomes, so it is more a camping site (but the place is so great that we didn't mind)

Review 18:view on the fjord, outside facilities of the cottage, boat rental on site and kajak rental nearby, price

Review 19:Surrounded by camping vans and other cottages with a few meters in every direction. No privacy. Extremely expensive boat rentals. Tiny kitchen. No freezer, dishwasher, microwave. Too many tour buses driving around within the vicinity.

Review 20:Well...the fact that it overlooks the Geiranger fjord. My recommendation is to make a day trip to Geiranger and not to stay in this tourist trap. There are many other beautiful fjords.

Review 21:Intermittent wifi, kitchen was really too small to cook and wash up comfortably.

Review 22:Right on the waterside, easy to find, big deck area outside the cabin, friendly staff, Fantastic views over the fjord.

Review 23:The tumble dryer on the camping did not dry the clothes properly.

Review 24:Excellent location, the camping is right next to the fjord but not in the very touristy center of Geiranger which is good. Very nice cabin with balcony, 2 bed rooms with each a double bed and 1 bed on top. Good facilities on the camping such as motor boats and kayaks.

Review 25:Very nice location, kindly staff, we did stay in a small cottage which was cosy and the girls love it :)

Review 26:- please add a shelve above hand washing basin for toothbrush etc. - a liquid soap dispenser will not ruin you

Review 27:super outfitted hytte in super setting

Review 28:Very nice cabin

Review 29:The cabin was very small and quite basic.

Review 30:The location was quite good

Review 31:Amazing view over the geirangerfjord. Very nice and fresh cabbin.

Review 32:Really nice location with great views and short drive to the the village. The cabin was clean and recently renovated.

Review 33:location, view, hiking, motor boat

Review 34:No space for keeping for luggage

Review 35:Cosy cottage and nice host.

Review 36:We had beds for 6 people, but small rooms and apartment to sleep for 6 people, but for 1 night it was good

Review 37:Location and the view

Review 38:Low wifi signal

Review 39:Nice view, calm place

Review 40:Low wi-fi connectivity

Review 41:Location.comfort.

Review 42:Only bunk beds

Review 43:The view from the hut. The staff were really helpful.

Review 44:Delightful cabin overlooking the fjord.

Review 45:Too narrow doublebed (140cm).

Review 46:Nice place, privacy, relaxation.

Review 47:No wifi in the room. Can be difficault.

Review 48:The view ia amazing. The cabin was well equipted and we had all we need. Strongly recommand.

Review 49:we liked every thing. maybe no TV

Review 50:we got first line- near the water cabin, great view. we got terras but couldnt use because it was rainning very romantic. nice and comfortable kitchen big enough -got place to sit, anouther room to sleep

Review 51:Nice views of the Fjord. The location of this property is shown in pictures of Gerainger Fjord, just at the base of the mountain with a winding road to the viewpoint that overlooks the town of Geiranger and the fjord. One can sit on tables outside the cabin on a porch and enjoy the surrounding view. Facilities is quite spartan, but it is clean and comfortable. One can not beat the price compared to the hotels in Geiranger town center.

Review 52:Well equipped kitchen but tiny mugs. Darker curtains in the bedroom would help sleep in midsummer - but you can hang clothes over them

Review 53:Fantastic view from the chalet and it's veranda. Very close to the water Very good buffet available for about 300 kr in the adjoining hotel their dining room is on the top floor. No need to book a table when we were there

Review 54:Great location overlooking the fjord. Cabins were clean and very well maintained with good facilities. Staff very helpful. Make sure you hire a boat and go out on the fjord - lots of fun.

Review 55:The location of this accomodation is really perfect. The appartment facing was superb.. The staff was cooperative and guided us quite well. The availability of motor boat multiplied the fun ..

Review 56:nothing

Review 57:It is one of the best cottage we stayed in Norway. Excellent location right beside the fjord and under the eagle route. So beautiful nature surrounding. A mature camping center and well organized, many service options are available. The cottage is large, clean, modern decorated and fully equipped. Would hope that we could stay longer.

Review 58:The deceit of Geirangerfjord Feriesenter in claiming to be at Geiranger. It is two kilometres from Geiranger in a separate, named village ! the advertising should say so ! The buses are infrequent ...we had to walk with our big packs.

Review 59:Limited hot water due to the volume of the heater. extra cleaning fee required. rent for linen and towel not expected. doors/walls not sound-proof. far away from the village.

Review 60:Fully equipped kitchen. close to the water.

Review 61:The hotel failed to book two cottages as per our booking, on reachingthere, we were made to wait for 30-40 mins before the manager could getanother cottage for us. The cottage that we got was not as per ourbooking, it had only one room and was very very small. The kitchen didnot have a microwave. Because it was very small the doors of the livingroom, bathroom and bedroom banged and jammed against each other, you hadto keep two of them closed to open any one of them :). The locationcompensated for the stay but I think we deserved better.

Review 62:Location of the cottages were good. The kitchen was nice and newlyrenovated.

Review 63:not comfortable and expensive.

Review 64:The location, Cabin is acceptable for $ 150 a night plus $10 for linen per person. Lighting is poor in living room. New cooking ustensils needed. You can sit on the porch watching boats cruising by or walk for 1/2 hour to shop. Good for vacation and if you love fishing.

Review 65:1) Costly linen and cleaning charges 100 nok per person even if you clean by your own.2) Not a place to go in winters or start of spring/summers because the rooms are not having heating system and gets tooooooooooo cold in night.

Review 66:Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms and enough utensils etc.Nice and clean furniture and very nice design of the cottage. Wifiavailable and is fast and free. Cottage charges/rent veryreasonable.Public transport also available but twice a day during May, might be more frequency in summers.

Review 67:Nothing to not like....all was good.

Review 68:Finn (?) took us across fjord so we could do the hike up to Skagfla farm. Great hike and great views.

Review 69:Nothing

Review 71:Location, price and facilities were great!

Review 72:A beautiful setting and great accommodation

Review 73:It is difficult to reach other area from Geigranger. There is only a small super market. The cottage is too small.

Review 74:Had to pay for linen on top of booking cost

Review 75:Location was awesome, right on the fjord

Review 76:you had to pay for linen

Review 77:being tucked away from the main tourist area and cruise ship.
